This is the famous Queen’s Head, only will get a great view if you look it at certain angel. From the front view, it just look like a normal erode rocks. What we got to know that, this rock is falling apart soon with strong sea breeze and it is just the matter of time and years  . .. Just take your chance to visit this place while its still standing tall in there.

day 8 (17)

After the first visit of the park we head to this great park YICF 2010 which had last been organize 4 years back during the summer time. Now the new local Yilan Goverment had bring this back to life to promote on their local tourist destination area with the theme Yilan International Children’s Folklore and Folkgame Festival. More like a family gateaway during this hot summer time!

day 8 (18)

In Taiwan, any places is all always about walking, it really give you a good fat burning. From Carpark walk into the main area takes about 5-10 minutes at it is a very big park.

day 8 (19)

this is the entree free for the festival.

day 8 (20)

This is how big the park is.. . . we took about 45 minutes to walk 1 whole round and you just imagine how big it is. It covers alot of area and I sure do wish Malaysia do have something like that on seasonal. Sure going to be very fun and a great boost for our local destinations also.

day 8 (21)

These is what the have for the park with build up a big area with pond and every 1 just get soak wet and great RnB music and dance track played all day long. IT is like a day party. Then on the 3rd picture, its a ghost house in wet version. So tempted to go in but once go in, we all are just going to be very wet coming out as we did not bring any extra clothings.

A big bridge walk way for you to overlook the whole park.

Some local performance along the way.

For kids area, they can dance around with the stage performer, take lots of picture with them. . . or

The restaurant is pack with people or I guess is because school holiday, with many people visiting the place.

day 8 (36)

This drink is definately refreshing with my favourite apple that have a bit of the skin and nata de coco alike jelly in there. IT is not too sweet too.

day 8 (37)

day 8 (38)

The food here is awesomely good, most of it very aromatic just that we find the noodle is quite plain. Total damage per pax is around NT300 for 8 which we find it is a pretty good deal for such a big portion.

day 8 (39)

This squid had been steam then put in fridge for a while till its chill and the skin is so chewy by dipping with wasabi is taste sooo good!

day 8 (40)

Done with the meal, we are heading to the temple .

day 8 (41)

day 8 (42)

As we were told that the one of the statue is made of crystal, that overlook all the fisherman to protect them during their journey out when fishing out in the sea. That is what the locals believe.

This is where one of the main statue is located. . . .

day 8 (44)

Next destination, we were brought by Auntie to the local souvenir shop to make a take away back for our friends and relatives.

day 8 (45)

As this shop is famous for the ‘Dry Duck Meat’ that you MUST buy back to eat. . . . The price is average and the whole pack is air tight that makes it last quite some time before you open it.

day 8 (46)

This is the famous duck meat in this shop. They have duck meat, duck liver and a few more other stuff, besides that they do sell some other local products that is very reasonable in price too.

day 8 (47)

day 8 (48)

When I saw this building at traffic light, then I thought who would want to build such a weird house up there, then the aunty answer me that, that house is a huge bird nest.. .. Then we were like woah, what a nice build up house for birds. More like to harvest bird nest I guess.

day 8 (49)

2 blocks away from the same strech of that shop, we reach this cake shop which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you to come if you do come to YI Lan City! I guess this place is called Cake Nobel shop cuz I do not know how to reach chinese.

day 8 (50)

What they are famous for? They are famous for their very own style of Swiss Roll which is a MUST buy item in there.

day 8 (51)

Their Signature Item, Swiss Roll Strawberry, which have really fresh strawberry in there and the taste of it, the outerlayer of the roll cake is so soft and the cream is not too thick yet its just perfectly nice to go along with the whole awesome flavour.

day 8 (52)

They have so many flavours and if I do stand a chance I would really want to buy back but it was meant to eat it fresh and can last 2 days. By the time I bring back to Malaysia its already spoil.

day 8 (53)

Their testing plate and one thing I love about Taiwan FnB industry is that most of the retailers are very generous in giving out their item for food tasting. You see the size of it, its quite a huge chunk and they seriously do not mind you to stand there and just eat it like that a few (if you do not feel embaress la).

day 8 (54)

One of my favourite is the Yam  . .. . .

day 8 (55)

With lots of creamy cream yogurt base like that. ..  It wont make you ‘jelak’ and I can seriously finish this whole roll by myself without any problem!

day 8 (56)

And I just love their packaging. . .  so Creatively design . . . Do bare in mind that their Swiss Roll are selling like hot cakes and I do even see a guy buy 20rolls.

day 8 (57)

We just bought a few just to eat for the night.

day 8 (58)

Other item that selling in there.

day 8 (59)

We love their bread range too, smells so nice and the bread are creatively design which their bread size and flavours are quite unique.

day 8 (60)

This is the map on how to get there, and its pretty near the train station. Its a shop that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are in that area.

Meet the Starz (24)

Aaron Kwok is really damm hyper, rocking the house and amuse the fans with his action. I was impress how he were too. As he also said that, they take around 3 years to do this movie and I was like haa..3 years? hrmm..maybe maybe cuz I am not in the movie filming production. What he said another thing caught my ears was we all sure do watch Harry Potter, Transformer and other fantasy Hollywood films but this is the movie of Chinese version of Harry Potter with a combination of this and that and I know that part 1 to me was quite good.

Meet the Starz (15)

The main starz of the night EKin Cheng and Aaron Kwok.

Last trip of back to Penang, Seh Poh Kio the first thing when I reach back after dumping all my luaguage back at home and went to pick up my friend, heading to Seh Poh Kio for supper. There are very limited places in Penang to hunt for Chinese food during at night after 12am. I was craving for burger that night around 1.30am.

The business of this stall its good at most of the time, depends on your luck when you dropping by that you have to wait long or wait for a while. Luckily on that night I did not wait for long as I was the 3rd person only.

The stall owner is the one leg kick person. Cook, wrap, and sell

My order was ‘Chicken Burger Special’ (Pg version means with Cheese and egg) as I love the version here as one of the best, well cook that preserve the taste of the slice of the chicken meat and well wrap around with the ngam ngam cook egg and top with a slice of cheese and cover with a layer of mayonnaise. RM4 if not mistaken.

Besides this stall that I usually enjoy eating from the thai hawker stall behind it was the ‘Fried Tomyam Maggie Mee’ a style of its own, not too spicy yet soury and filled with mini seafood is a taste that I am missing but on that night, the taste had change not as nice as it used to be. Still not bad but not as craving taste already. RM5

Few days ago, I was invited and many other bloggers to attend an exclusive preview, one hour special of Chef Daniel Boulud’s ‘One Night In Singapore’ preview by Guldip from Alice George Communications PR to the AFC in Malaysia.. Thanks to Bigboysoven too. The party was held at Neo, KL one of the latest addition to the area that had just recently opens its door to the public which is just located next to Tamarind Hill.

I have seen people taking great shots on this place especially at night.

very nice and relaxing classy interior.

The outdoor section offers a relaxing drinking area good to catch up with friends.
I found this pretty interesting in the toilet, which like little kid, you have to filled in the empty place full and let the water flow down.
We were greeted with drinks, that the bar tender asked me, you want sweet or sour.
We were the first group of people that reach there, from left Citygal, Christine and Chris and me.
The 2 funny guy that you will never get bored talking with, suddenly forgot the guy’s name on my left(pai seh pai she) and Richard on my right.
Jessica, me and Kent
The owner of Neo Restaurant and the co-Founder and MD of AFC Mr.Hian Goh
of course took the opportunity to take pics with them.
A very funny and friendly guy.
We were all greeted by light snacks before going into the premier of the show.
All the bloggers are ready to watch such a great premier from one of the best chef in the world.
He briefly tell us how he engage with the Chef and the whole filming process. Pretty interesting journey where the whole shot is film at the iconic Fullerton Hotel in Singapore is the architectural centerpiece of this culinary event where he is buidling his name in center stage Asia.
Here are some background about the great chef himself:
Daniel Boulud is Chef-Owner of ten award-winning restaurants and the Feast & Fetes catering company. While he hails from Lyon, France, It is in New York that he has truly mastered the culinary scene, so much so that Daniel Boulud is today considered of Americas leading culinary authorities. Over the last two decades, Boulud has evolved from a chef to a chef-restaurateur, bringing his artistry to his New York City restaurants DANIEL, Café Boulud, DB Bistro Moderne, Bar Boulud and now, DBGB Kitchen and Bar.
In addition, he has created Café Boulud Palm Beach and Daniel Boulud Brasserie at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort. In May 2008, the chef extended his culinary reach internationally, opening Maison Boulud in the Legation Quarter in Beijing, China. Daniel Boulud and his restaurant management company, The Dinex Group, have also recently formed a partnership in Vancouver where they manage the renowned Relais & Chateaux restaurant, Lumiere. Adjacent to Lumiere they have created a new DB Bistro Moderne, a sister restaurant to the one in Manhattans Midtown.

The Chef has authored six books and has created three seasons his After Hours with Daniel television series. Daniel Boulud appears exclusively on the Asian Food Channel.
The Sneak peak.
He and his great team.
The chef himself enjoying the taste of King of Fruit-Durian.
The decoration indeed very creative.
After an hour long event, every one got mingling around yet I am very impress on how the chef coordinate everything by himself. I thought this would only happen in Hong Kong TVB series but didnt know that it actually happen on one of the best chef. Everything that he had done that makes the dinner so perfect yet so tempting with saliva licking. You gotta catch the documantary. Its worth to watch.
This is where I have met CK Lam in person which is one of the famous food blogger in Penang. From left : Lingzie, Jessica, Me, CK and Shirley.
Dinner was yet to be served and on my way walking to the toilet I saw this. They are not Chef Daniel Boulud team’s but they sure are doing their best to get the dinner done nice and presentable.
This dish had long name but was told by one of the waiter that it’s a dish you must try. At first I thought it was a bacon, but only after that got to know that it was one of the part in Salmon or Tuna’s which is the most expensive part from the whole fish.
I can just tell you that, it melts in your mouth and the flavor just burst in your month. Something which I never had before and one of the best.
Scallop was fresh and delightful. The beef is soft yet juicy and topping with the gravy just makes you finish it within seconds.
Do not really know how to enjoy the desert base, but sure do like the strawberry and the cookies in it.
When it turns dark, this place had surely change to another look. Some place that you would want to stick in with nice and cozy environment..
Now here it gives me the feeling of Survivor elimination round area.
It was an awesome event that for the very first time I attended and hope to attend more in the future. .
