First installation of H-Artistry took off in Penang on Wesak weekend, as most of us are partying with another 2000 more party revelers in this arena. H-Artistry which had begun back as early as 2008 and now this would be the second installment for Penang. Its good to see that the staging and everything is bigger compare to last year, along with an all-new setup, world-class production and a stellar line-up of artists from Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore

HA (1)

We are there as early as 7.30pm right after dinner and head to party scene to check it out. As usual, they are all well organise on the whole event to prevent any massive jam on the queuing.

HA (2)

and of course with many of KL bloggers are up in the party scene and how can I not enjoy this round.

HA (3)

HA (4)

As for this round, H-Artistry have their new set up which is slightly different from last year, especially on the photobooth. Last year they have the 360Degree signature and this round .. they are back with something classic.

HA (5)

At the main hall, before opening up the main area, all of us are greeted with Hennessy drinks.

HA (6)

This is the first photobooth known as “Hennessy Moments” at the “Fotobox” with Hennessy Bottle decoration in it and there are 2 of these. One with single shot and another one with multiple shot of 3 seconds for 3 shots(we creatively pose 3 pose) 😀

HA (7)

HA (9)

HA (11)

The usual not to be miss is they have Hennessy V.S.O.P signature long drinks with Hennessy Apple, Hennessy Berry, Hennessy Ginger and Hennessy Soda which were served throughout the night.

HA (12)

HA (13)

Then comes along with some of my Penang best friend into the party scene. . .

HA (14)

Right before the main act, the countdown culminated with an electrifying laser show and striking LED visuals, which kicked off the night’s performances with Julie Woon welcoming every one.

HA (15)

Then 24HERBS, surprise  party goers by taking the stage. The Hong Kong hip hop outfit was bursting with energy, drawing the crowd in with their infectious stage presence as they demonstrated the credibility of Canto hip hop.

HA (16)

With the siau poh’s from Penang  I always party, drink, and eat.. .

HA (17)

With Yuki, Anna and Kelly. .

HA (18)

And how can I miss my bestie Louise and Kelly ..

HA (19)

Then  after 24Herbs with the dimming of stage lights, Dennis Lau, clad in a laser-projecting jacket – took the stage with his electric violin, bringing the crowd to an all-new high as he started off with a violin introduction of Swedish House Mafia’s hit “Don’t You Worry Child”.

HA (20)

HA (21)

Next act is Andy Murphy went on to administer an astounding set of EDM and Big Room tunes for the next hour, firmly setting the momentum of the night with pulsating beats and fist-pumping drops. Taking over from Andy was Singapore’s biggest female DJ export Nicole Chen, who brought her popular style of Electro House and Dirty Dutch onto the H-Artistry stage. Both DJs’ sets, bolstered in intervals by a gorgeous dance crew and breath taking laser projections, shot the energy levels through the roof at H-Artistry as party goers danced through the night with glasses of Hennessy V.S.O.P in hand.

HA (23)

This is the crazy crowd we are looking at for Penang Revelers. . .

HA (30)

With Don the tai lou . .

HA (31)

Partying at VIP zone is nice and manage to take a picture with Andy Murphy . .

HA (29)

Hennessy night in Penang is fun and of course without this whole group of people, my Hennessy experience would not be complete. . .

HA (26)

At the end of the night, drink sensibly not to overdoze like my best friend here. He is lucky being taken care by 2 girls. . kekek

see you all at next installment of H-Artistry . .

I guess I am running off abit from my blog besides food but I really really really must blog about this awesome live stage performance. ROCKCAPPELLA by FORK. At first when we wanted to go watch the show, every one is skeptical, even me by asking who are they. Some of my friends also have a thought that aiya, singing live just pop in and enjoy then.

Fork (1)

As they are out from the stage performing their first songs all of us thought that its very normal as they are hitting off with old songs. Right after the first song one of the performer told us that what we heard just now is all live and without any support of music instruments and sound effect. Then it had made my jaw drop with those awesome base and background music.

Later he explained that, 4 of them, Mia Hafrén and Jonte Ramsten, former police cadet Kasper Ramström and vocalist Anna Asunta have combine talent to make the whole group work as they have been working together for 15 years and performing world wide. Fresh from Finland and flying all the way to Malaysia to do their first ever stage performance with all of them have talent to sing, beat boxing and its not just only ordinary Rockcappella,as they are more than that.

Fork (2)

A series of combination with Rock music, contemporary cover and humorous stand-up comedy that just blast us off and make our night a blast.

Fork (3)

Staging might be small as I went to Google and check their other performance, and definitely PJLA Theater with the lighting and sound effect had made the whole performance to another level.

Fork (4)

This is one of the most funny part that he came out with fake  rock long hair. . .

Fork (5)

Fork (6)

Fork (7)

Fork (8)

I am really amaze with this guy, as most of the heavy base and tune are coming out from him by beatboxing. In my thought, oh my.. now I have seen another great beatboxer and what willl happen to our local scene beat boxer.

Fork (9)

Fork (10)

You can expect their performance with different genre of music, from slow rock, rock, contemporary and classic.

Fork (11)

Fork (12)

Their performance is so great that it blast every one off their seats, singing and dancing along with them.

Fork (13)

PB120220

That all happen last year, and when I got the posters for the first Hennessy Artistry that going to happen in Penang on this weekend, I find it weird as why the posters is the same as the finale only realise that now they are doing it BIG, as usually they kick off with 2 smaller ones then lead to the biggest ever finale.

Now Penangites can party hard with Hennessy Artistry this weekend that going to take place in Straits Quay Convention Center (SQCC) on 16th June, which is one of the most prominent retailing waterfront by facing the sea.

I am sure that we can expect the whole transformation from an empty space with a big party scene which is the trademark H-Artistry party atmosphere that going to blow you guys away, as this round they do have cool line up ready to blast your feet off the ground! Not only that, all of you will get to enjoy their new all-new Art of Mixing Zone, signature Hennessy V.S.O.P. long drinks.

Glenmorangie (6)

Glenmorangie (3)

Glenmorangie The Original is a Ten Years Old whisky mainly matured in ex-Bourbon casks that’s made from slow growth, air dried American Oak from the Ozark Mountains of Missouri. The selection of casks were important to bring the lemony gold colour as well as the aroma of mandarin, lemon, apple, pear and peach fruits with hints of Vanilla.

Glenmorangie, this beautifully seductive spirit originates in the heart of the Scottish Highlands where, at the Glenmorangie distillery, it first captures by elegant, swan necked stills that are the tallest in Scotland and then expertly matured in the finest oak casks.

Glenmorangie (4)

As for the night, we had something special that soak with mandarin taste, as I have learn a new way to enjoy this single malt that, they have actually prepare some mandarin orange skin then in the bowl then soak it for 20 minutes along the single malt with orange . ..

Glenmorangie (5)

Glenmorangie (7)

Then after that it is ready to be pour out. It seems that they have turn the taste into more strong and a bit orange taste at the end of the sip.

We can do that at home and enjoy while sipping it away . .

Glenmorangie (8)

Tadaa… and its ready to be served and always prefer it on the rock only with 3 cubes of ice so that it does not dilute the taste of it.

Glenmorangie (15)

Guess who is the Emcee for the night is this good looking Will Quah ..

Glenmorangie (16)

With the usual, Louixe, Angeline and Yukiko

and the rest of the gang.

Its great to have every one there to chill and holding our every neat glass of Glenmorangie Single Malt chilling and chatting all night long, with music playing and best of all is this free flow that we are enjoying.
