Thanks to my friend Gary for drawing the attention of this Golden Potato at Kuchai Lama to me. We just had finished my favourite mala hotpot place for dinner and we were super full. He and his gf said that you die die must try this. Damm good. Both of them then went off to tapau where the truck is parking right in front of Family Mart Kuchai Lama.

Came back with 1 pack that it was so good. We walk towards the food truck to make another 2 pack for take away.

Surprise to see that the Golden Potato truck is park at the central location of Kuchai where it is the most jam of all. Then get to see that their Potato ball is done fresh. Roll on the spot, fried on the spot. This is one of a common street snacks where you get to find in certain morning or night market.

sweet potato

it is definitely tricky and not easy to do. To get it raise to an airy ball, it needs the right ingredients and lot of energy to squeeze up the balls.

Golden Potato (7)

It is best advise to eat on the spot. as Potato ball is not easy to last long where the air bubble of the ball will slowly go soft and will become a flat kuih after that.

Golden Potato (6)

Here you go on a prefect ball of Golden potato ball. It is not cheap though as a pack of 8 balls for RM 5. Once a while okay la cuz it is so good.Fragrant with slight crust. Then chewy texture after 2 bite that gives you a nice goie bite. A perfect snacks for anytime.

This truck is park right at the heart of Kuchai Lama in front of Family Mart. Just realize that they have a few food truck and the recent hype is at Kota Damansara Right in front of burger King where you will see a bee line of people queing.

Then order their Paper Wrap chicken that turns out to be fragrant, glistening with the sweet sauce to my liking and I guess good to have it along to pair with my cheong fun.

I will certainly come back again to this shop as I find the ingredient they serve is quite solid and quality with decent pricing.
