Omg! Time just flies as last month I was compiling my collage for Last year main event Arthur’s day for photo print and now I got invited again for this year GUINNESS Arthur’s Day 2012 Media Launch on 23rd August. Times really past in a blink of eye. This round the launching took place at one of a new bar in Tropicana Mall, Studio Lounge.
It will be another month long celebration with promotions for this year Arthur’s Day 2012 with more than 11000 outlets nationwide starting from 23rd August 2012 till the 30th of September 2012. The celebrations will also see the return of the Guinness arThursday Music Parties, which take place every Thursday in selected outlets across the Klang Valley.
For this year, the themed “A Celebration Made Of More”, inspired by Arthur Guinness’ bold legacies, Guinness fans and music lovers this year will have 3 unique music events taking place simultaneously, citywide on 28th September 2012. It will be another music celebration this year as they provide music lovers an evening of live music spanning over 5 hours in 3 separate locations around Kuala Lumpur.
As I reach the location, I am suprise by this converted Trailer with a few bar counter in it to serve Guinness.

This is what I mean with a few mini bar that serve Guinness.
By standing behind here, gives me a great memory when I was working in a bar during my study period oversea, and in here we get a chance to stand behind the bar to make our fresh pint from the tap along to learn from the pro’s how to pour a perfect pint.
Here is how you pour by tilt 45 degree and let it flow from the tap till it reach Guinness word then let it sit still for the creamy foam to flow up then continue pouring till it fills up.

not long after that, guest and media start to fill up this place pretty fast.
This is the cool stage that they have converted it into for some of the local band performance later and the launching.

As the night proceed, emcee for the GUINNESS® Arthur’s Day media launch is Serena C, that is welcoming guests at the start of the festivities.
Not only this as ‘A special addition to the celebration this year, in tribute to Arthur’s philanthropic legacies, is the launch of the Arthur Guinness Fund in Malaysia in partnership with British Council, Malaysia. More than RM200000 will be channeled to the program which aims to support local Malaysian social entrepreneurs with the passion for the Malaysia community to deliver measurable, transformational change in our local communities.’
To Arthur! The man that gave us the world’s favourite black brew and left us a legacy inspired by many.
Right after that, we were greeted with many local bands performing hard to get a chance to perform on the actual day of Arthur’s day event. It will be the same like last year’s success ‘arThursday Talent Search’, again they are giving an opportunity to aspiring Malaysian artist a platform to promote their music. For this round there will be 6 up coming local music talents will be battling it out for the once in a lifetime opportunity to be the opening act for ‘Creed’ at the Arthur’s Day concert in Indonesia this year.
These will be the few bands that going to perform on selected locations in the spread of upcoming 3 weeks, Underheadlights, Car Crash Hearts, Once Upon a Time There Was a Sausage Named Bob, Rhythm Nation, SonaOne, and Busco.
