Just barely a few weeks old and this place already got a massive publicity. One of the reason is they are the first Ramen restaurant that serve Authentic Kyushu Ramen in Malaysia, as actually means Tonkatsu that boil their soup with pork bone. There are already quite a number of Ramen shop popping up and as a Ramen lover and have tasted very nice ramen overseas, hope this Yamagoya Ramen will fare pretty good too . .

Yamagoya (1)

Not only that, what makes them special as they are also the first outlet of the famous Japanese Chain Ramen Restaurant as they have more than 140 outlets in Japan and this shop had landed in Malaysia as currently operating in Publika, Solaris Dutamas would be their very first outlet.

Yamagoya (2)

As I saw on the wall and people coming into this shop and dine with Chinese Newspaper cutting as I believe some chinese food writter had came by to feature on it and we came in as early as 7.30pm and its full till we left 10.00pm and there are still people coming in.

Yamagoya (3)

Yamagoya (4)

Their ramen is made fresh daily and they weigh the ramen accordingly on the machine to ensure that all are even.

Yamagoya (6)

Here you go, with some choices of the ramen available as this shop purely serve ramen .. .

Yamagoya (7)

This is one of my favourite drink that I often used to drink it as my lunch drink when I was studying overseas that time. Its Calpis WaterRM5.80.

It is a uncarbonated soft drink as the beverage has a light, somewhat milky, and slightly acidic flavor, similar to plain or vanilla-flavored yogurt or Yakult. Its ingredients include water, nonfat dry milk and lactic acid, and is produced by lactic acid fermentation.

The drink is sold as a concentrate which is mixed with water or sometimes milk just before consumption. A pre-diluted version known as Calpis Water “Karupisu Wōtā” (カルピスウォーター?), or its carbonated variety, known as Calpis Soda “Karupisu Sōda” (カルピスソーダ?), are also available. It is also used to flavor kakigori (shaved ice) and as a mixer for cocktails and chuhai. (Source from Wikipedia)

Yamagoya (8)

AS a ramen shop, these few sauces its  a must have to make it complete, as I usually like to add in alot of chili oil . .:D

Yamagoya (9)

As a starter, I rarely miss this order Gyoza @ RM 11. If the gyoza is pan fried a bit longer at the bottom till the skin is crips, it can be one of the best so far I have come accross. . .

Yamagoya (10)

This might look like one of ordinary Fried Chicken as the taste is just amazing. Squeeze it with lemon to get a hint of sour taste and dip with Japanese Mayo and the soy sauce at the bottom makes it perfect in taste as the skin is crispy and the chicken meat being fried just perfect as the meat is not too dry. Guess what, our table ended up ordering 3 plates of this. RM11 – highly Recommended!

Yamagoya (12)

One of my favorite is to get eggs in my ramen as this is Yamagoya Braised Soya Sauce Egg. If the yolk is not so cook it would be a perfect pair, still good in taste, no complain . .@ RM4

Yamagoya (13)

When comes to pork, we will never complain more which less is just only the factor. So we ordered additional 2 plates of Pork Char Siu as this side dish is serve cold compare to the one added into the Ramen. Different in taste though as I prefer mine to be dip into the ramen.@ RM11

Yamagoya (11)

If you love garlic taste then this shall be one of the ramen you should hunt for – Black Garlic Ramen @ RM22. Garlic taste is pretty strong in the sweet soup base as just how I like it. – recommended~

Yamagoya (14)

Menma Ramen @  RM22

Yamagoya (15)

Mukashi Special Ramen is a bit mild in taste, with the broth soup that they add in just suits many people taste bud. How I make it more interesting is by adding alot of chili oil then it adds in the kick for me. 😀  RM24

Yamagoya (16)

Fuhhh, one of the super star on our table is this Char Siu Ramen. The strong sweet taste of soup base makes us fight for this bowl of Ramen filled with thin slice of Char Siu. I just love this bowl of soup base.  @ RM24, highly Recommended!

Yamagoya (17)

Another one of my favourite is Spicy Tobanjan Ramen @ RM 22

Yamagoya (18)

Well, do not expect the spicyness level is the Malaysian version as remember its authentic from Japan and Japanese taste bud on spicy level is very much different compare to our local palate. After put it in, it taste pretty good and by one scoop of spicy paste you might find it not too kick, why not add in another paste that would have been perfect. (beware that you might spoil the authentic taste of it if you add in 2 paste).

By having one paste it just make the soup a bit spicy and aromatic.  – Recommended~

Yamagoya (20)

A bit of infuse ramen which is Kimchi Ramen, a more korean taste. @ RM22

Yamagoya (21)

There are only 4 of us in the table and look at the amount of Ramen we whack! Its just something I could not resist as this shop have currently top in my list if I am craving for Ramen because of its ramen texture and soup base. Well, if I have to compare to the one I have overseas still cannot be compared and talking bout local, this would be one of the best so far. Would be a highly recommended shop by me. or currently one of the best ramen shop in KL.

REMARKS: please eat the noodle what its serve hot, as the noodle is springy and smooth.. If you leave it a while or more than 5 minutes soak in the soup, the noodle texture had change and become soggy.

Whenever I come to KLCC and if it comes to food, I will miss this two. Just do not know why and this two are my all time favorite in KLCC food court area. First would be the Kyros Kebab as this would be their best stall in their chain.

Kebab (5)

Kebab (4)
The ordering process would be similar like Subway just that you can let them know which are the vegetable ingredient that you want or do not want.

Kebab

My all time favorite ordering would be ‘Combo Kebab add Mushroom (Lamb and Chicken)’ around RM11.

Kebab (2)

Then they will prepare the wraps and add in the vegetable and I have always ask them to add in more onions for me too (foc).

Kebab (3)

The meat is prepare and cut fresh from the pit area.

Kebab (6)

Tadaaa…this would be my lovely dinner as I love the taste of it, its not dry yet very juicy from the sauce of mayonise, a bit of thousand island sauce and their special sauce yet the meat of lamb is filled with the taste and chicken combines well too.

****************

My meal would not be complete with my all time favorite drink, Boost Juice with its origin from Aus and it was one of my diet drink when I was studying, only had this for lunch or sometimes dinner and finally this brand had landed in KLCC few months back.

In the market I felt that this is one of the best with its ingredient that they are using.

Boost

Boost (2)

Boost (3)

My favorite drink of the area is ‘Mango Magic’ RM12.50 large. The mango that blend with some banana is flavorful yet not sweet and just love the taste of it.

I do shop, eat and walk around in 1-Utama but surprisingly I never walk to around this area until I was out of idea what to eat that day and ask where is Subway only realise there are another food area instead of the 3rd floor. While walking towards Subway, this shop sure caught my attention as I am a big fan of deserts but I have not came across any nice desert that I have kept in mind as my much prefer or in hunting such as sweet desert (snowy ice) or anything in cold.
After finishing eating Subway, hurried to this place which looks like a nice place to hang out too.

From the outside I thought the books were real till I sat down only realise it was wall paper and it looks cool too, something like Library.

They do have a few categories of desert in their menu. Surely they have wide selections and picture illustration in it looks good too.
Till I came across and decided to order this desert ‘Mango Special Lo’ if I do not remember wrongly, I saw something like Hong Kong desert which makes me think back of the great mango drink Hoi Lau San, that tasted so good thought it would be good too.

When it was serve, me and my friend was like staring at it. ‘What a big bowl’ and mango cubes which is so little that can be calculated, and the base is like fettuccine (something that taste like taufufa) then mango syrup mix base. The taste is not bad but with the cost RM14.30(including service charge 10%), which is VERY EXPENSIVE for such a desert and quality that I think I can think of a few which taste much better than this yet cheaper.

Would just visit this desert for only once. Will not be returning back.
