For a neighborhood cafe, they are indeed doing well, as I arrive at 3.30pm and it is full. Love the minimalist decor that only fits with white wall, tiles and dim lights.

fluffed (5)

Variety of coffee and tea available that includes ice cream too.

I was curious over this flavour – Pink Latte @ RM 12 with an ingredient from all-natural red yeast rice, that is how the colour came from and just top with milk. This would be a good option for those non coffee drinker.

fluffed (10)

Was told that Rose Lychee Cloudcake is a must order item. Love the colour of it, and as the fork hits through top to bottom, the cake is so soft and fluffy. Indeed a recommended cake as the flavour balance very well. I do not mind to have another 2 more slices of this as it goes well with their coffee.

Fluffed is well known for their waffle too and was looking up and down to choose something unique. It turns out to be ‘meh’ for me. It was their special of the week or month like that. I like my waffle slightly more crispy and was told by my friend I ordered wrong waffle. However this wafle top with Japanese Moh chi and gula melaka sryup at the side.

I guess this place is indeed a nice coffee place to hang out. Will definitely come back another round to try out other items.

Thai Camp (5)

Thai Pork Satay (Moo Ping) @ RM 9

Thai Camp (6)

Fried Pork Pop (Moo Sab Tod) @ RM 8

Thai Camp (7)

This is one of the most unique street dish as Thai Camp Curry Noodle (Kao Soi Kai) @ RM 8.90 consider one of a dish that you should order. This is sort of like our Curry mee but in Thai Version. Filled with slightly tomyum base chili and mix of curry that is slightly creamy to give this taste very unique and add on their version of fried noodle with crispy texture.

Thai Camp (8)

Thai Camp (9)

Seafood Tomyum noodle @ RM 8.90. A decent mild spicy tomyum noodle.

Thai Camp (10)

Stir Fried Mince Pork + Holy Basil (Phad Ka Prao Moo) @ RM 8.90. Simple street dish that is fried with wok hei.

Thai Camp (11)

Special Pork Leg with Rice (Kao Ka Moo) @ RM 8.90. This is one of my favourite as with such a price, this is pretty good meal for lunch where pork is so soft and add on with salted veggie at the side is just perfect.

For such pricing and food quality, I certainly will be coming back.

Kakigori is actually a Japanese Shave ice version from Japan. The founders are also the owners of Thirdwave in Bangsar. This little dessert place is located at Taman Paramount, Seapark.

Kakigori (1)

There have been waves of good review about this place from friends we known. .

Kakigori (2)

Kakigori (4)

Love the minimalism concept that they have, that is filled with white walls and some wooden seating area, especially in the center , there is this little garden area with bright natural lights coming through.

Kakigori (5)

Kakigori (6)

Kakigori (7)

Place your order at the cashier, find a spot in the cafe . .. .

Kakigori (8)

wait for your number to be called where your dessert will be serve through this shelves or known as your pick up zone.

Kakigori (9)

Kakigori (10)

Upon finish or before you leave, please leave your empty bowls back to this little area and do give them a ring. Everything in here would be self service.

Kakigori (11)

Kakigori (12)

This is how it will be serve. Do be careful upon pick up as it feels that the ice is gonna drop onto the floor.

Kakigori (13)

Order their signature : Watermelon with Rose Espuma & Red Fruits @ RM 17

Kakigori (14)

Kakigori (15)

Kakigori (16)

Elderberry with Elderflower Espuma & yogurt Cranberry pudding

Kakigori (17)

Then add on another order which is their Avocado @ RM 18 as many people recommended.

I think overall, I will only come once as I have tried better ones before and my expectation was built over the roof. Of course this could not be the comparison as it is from one of a famous Bangkok Cafe operator – After U which come out their new concept – Maygori Dessert Cafe that serve Kakigori Dessert.

Of course watermelon is very pretty in presentation as overall of the 3 flavours, I find too bland for me.

Steamsoup or Herbal soup is always been my favourite item in my own preference. When I was a kid, I was being thought by my grandma to drink a bowl of soup before my meal and that is how it spark my interested. Follow by herbal soup as I love the taste of it if its strong whereby alot of my friend say I am crazy. 🙂 Last round, when I work in KL, one of my regular place for steam soup is this Kong Kee Herbal Soup infront of Shaw Parade or behind Times Square under the tree.

MEng kee (1)

Then later move out from KL and start to search for alternative and came across some bloggers blog about this place, Meng Kee Steam Soup at Taman Paramount, just right next to Giant Supermarket. Its one of a place that I have been couple of times already.

MEng kee (2)

Its not located in a restaurant as they are just operating in a stretch of little hawker area. Seats are pretty limited and you have to wait quite a while if some days that you visit is pack with people. It was a perfect timing for me as during my last visit, it is raining and under that weather to enjoy pippin hot soup is perfect.

MEng kee (2.1)

Menu is rather simple as you can order some side dish as the other half is their herbal steam soup menu. Not only that, as in the menu also do mention that which soups provides different effect, such as detox, nutrient, subside body heat and so forth.

MEng kee (3)

One of a very common soup to reduce body heat is Bitter gourd soup @ RM 7

MEng kee (4)

Nuduo Ginseng Soup (Teen Chat) which is more for blood circulation @ RM 9

Soup offering here are equally good compare to the one in KL as this place has been my substitute place for steam soup instead of driving all the way to KL. Soup here are steam to perfection that the aroma of each soup are pretty strong in taste to my liking and price is very reasonable. Surely this would be one of my recommended place for you if you wish to have a nice bowl of herbal soup.

Back many years ago when I first step down to KL and stayed at my auntie’s place around this area, one of the first 2 things she expose to me was hand made pan mee (at that time I wasn’t a fan of hand made version) and this Loong Foong Duck Rice which is highly recommended by my cousins or known as one of their favorite duck place. At that time, to get a duck over here, we have to come as early as 6pm to avoid huge massive dinner crowd and also not to be disappointed when the duck is sold out.

long fong (1)

It was not until recently, I came back visit this place again and crossing finger that they still have duck as I reach pretty late, about 8pm whereby they usually sold out.

long fong (2.0)

and guess what, I am lucky that, it is the last duck and I got half myself for 2 person. Duck price here is very decent too.

long fong (2.1)

Most of the people here come for the seafood restaurant and duck is part of their dish, as for us, we came here purely for the duck only. I guess I would try out their seafood restaurant too as its always this pack!

long fong (2.3)

After so many years since I last tried, the famous duck rice still live at its expectation that their quality is still the same.

long fong (3)

Duck meat is soft, tender and juicy and skin is still quite good with its brown yellowish colour. There is a sauce that serve along, and add that in, as it makes it more aromatic with little salty end. I add that into my rice too as they only serve plain rice. Besides that, their homemade chili sauce goes well too if you would want to have light sour spicy end. Could be one of the best Duck rice in pj.

This is one of my favourite Duck Rice place that I would recommend. Do reach no latest by 7.30pm to avoid any dissapointment as I do know their duck sell off pretty fast.

Recommended!
