Bangkok trip is all about makan on my 5th day trip, after heavy dinner at one of good restaurant that Goft recommended which is Taling Pling at Central World then now we are hunting for one of the best desert around that area called Mango Tango that operated by Hong Kee according to Goft. On the way walking there, if it wasnt raining, there are night market directly opposite Central world heading to Siam square.

Mango Tango (1)

I find that the street market here sell clothing which is pretty nice as if we do not have time to shop alot in famous JJ Market (Chatuchak Market), here would be one of the good option too as you can bargain.

Mango Tango (2)

After about 5 minutes walk from Central World, here we are, as we reach our jaw drop as the place is so little and flock by so many people ready to hunt for places in the compact shop.

Mango Tango (3)

This place got famous with alot foreginers because it got feature in some international food guide in Hong Kong and Japan. There is where how they gain the popularity and branding.

Mango Tango (4)

Cannot deny that I love the concept of the shop that show’s purely they are selling desert and only desert that they are serving. They source the best mango in Thailand and its pluck fresh. A simple decoration of the outlet make it outstanding around the neighourhood area as it is very hard for you to miss the shop that is well light up.

I guess these are their best seller therefore put at the counter

Mango Tango (9)

We are amaze how fast this worker cut on the mango and look so pro .. . We were just drooling like a small kid looking at candy when me, Steven and Tatt saw the mango how yellowish and how sweet it is going to taste like. .

Mango Tango (5)

Annie always love to promote how  god the food is and this round with menu, I guess she will be a good food ambassor. Too bad I was not allow to post her eating pose. Saliva will drop just by seeing her tam chiak face (the way she eat). The cute menu also in Mango shape and the have selected menu for you to choose from and we have let the desicion for Goft again to go for our menu.

Mango Tango (10)

Getting ready with my spoon to attack on the desert yet the funny thing is that I have heard An Apple a day keeps the doc away and now, its A Mango a Day keeps the Doc away . .kekeke I sure do not mind by having lots of sweet aromatic mango. . .

As we were super full from dinner, and now its very hard for us to resist to say NO to deserts after looking on how the way they do it and die die also must try quite few. Our initial plan was order 2-3 to share and the end up result every one having one portion. 😀

Mango Tango (11)

Mango Sticky rice is just so opposite version of what we have in Malaysia and the servings there as I meant, that in Malaysia our sticky rice is a huge chink of it with a few slices of mango and in Mango Tango is a huge big ass mango with small scoop of sticky rice. Its served warm, soft and very aromatic with their superb coconut milk as we love it so much on the taste and pair with the smooth sweet mango is just perfect.

Mango Tango (12)

Mango Tango (13)

Do not know what to choose get Mango Tango Signature dessert and consists of a half nicely cut mango in cubes, with a side of mango pudding topped with whipped cream and a ball of mango sorbet. A perfect combination to try all version in their outlet.

Mango Tango (14)

Mango Delight comes with a mixture of fruits base, kiwi, mango, honeydew, aloe verra, watermelon and some other ingredient, and all the fruits are fresh and sweet.

Mango Tango (15)

Mango Smothie is super good, very smooth, easy to drink yet the mango is so aromatic like drinking pure mango juice.

Mango Tango (16)

Mango Tango (17)

all of us having great time with our desert and this is one of Goft’s fav drink .

Mango Tango (18)

One thing I regreted that I did not buy enough is their Sensational Mango Tango Desert – Preserved Fruits. One of the best I have eaten so far as they sell it in lose pack or economy pack that comes in a pack of 3 boxes. As for  now, whenver my friend go to Bangkok, I will try to ask them tapau this back for me .. Hehehe .. Once you eat it, its addictive even my parents finish this whole pack on the night itself.

Dry, not too sweet, as its like eating pure mango in another version. Recommended to get at least 2 pack.

Mango Tango (19)

Here we are, our desert hunter and Collen always busy with her food, that is how tam chiak she is whenever taking pictures. 😀

As for last say, any order in the menu, surely will satisfy your crave on desert as all also pretty good!

If you do go Bangkok in the area of famous shopping districk Central World that area, please do not miss this super good yet delicious Mango desert, as you would not regret even though its a bit hard to find as you have to walk thru some alley turn right turn left.

Highly Recommended if you love or do not like desert.!!!!

They have 4 branch in Bangkok check out their website for other branches location : www.mymangotango.com

I just wish  Malaysia have such a good desert shop. The set back is our mango is so exp and import in even worst. I guess I shall keep my mango crave till next holiday . . 🙁

On the 6th Day which is another shopping day request by the Girls, so we cancel all our sightseeing and spend our time mostly in the prime area for malls and the first stop for the day was MBK mall that we spend 5 hours there, from 10am – 3pm.. So walk around as everyone is very hungry and and saw this irresistible deal. Eat all you Can at ShabuShi Restaurant.

Shabu shi (1)

Had a quick breakfast in the morning and as all of them shop till forgot the time and stomach start growling, all of us start to hunt for food till we come over to this floor on the exit side we saw this sign – EAT all you CAn buffet.. every one say..go eat this one, damm hungry.. cow also can eat.. So we went in, and was request to use the front entrance. . .

Shabu shi (2)

Shabushi is a Restaurant offering Japanese Shabu shabu and Sushi for customers to enjoy at a very cheap rate I would say.

When we reach the front entrance, we were like OMG..so many ppl..siau eh~ and took our number, was told to wait 1 hour to come back, so we went to continue shopping and came back an hour after that.

Shabu shi (3)

Its a crowd mixture and one of the main thing that attracted so many people was the price of the buffet which is quite cheap. If I am not mistaken it is about 250 bhat nett per pax (if I remember it correctly) with given 90min/120 mins to dine.

Shabu shi (4)

We storm into the place and quickly place all our things on the table and start to attack on the food as given such a short time frame.

Shabu shi (5)

They have sushi bar counter seating or group seating with conveyor belt offering all fresh steamboat ingredients.

Shabu shi (8)

Many types of drinks available. . .they also have desert corner which I forgot to took a picture of it. .

Shabu shi (6)_resize

These 2 cha boh attack on sushi counter very fast, with offering of lots of sushi and even salmon fish head also available.

Shabu shi (12)

At the conveyor belt. . .offering lots of fresh meat, marinated, slice lamb, pork and a few more. .

Shabu shi (13)

Shabu shi (14)

Our soup was clear soup and spicy that taste pretty good though

Shabu shi (15)

Tatt and Steven was taking care of our dining table and by the time we went back to our table, it is already full of ingredients waiting to be pour in.

Shabu shi (16)

Shabu shi (17)

This piece of meat is good with marinated sauce and corn in it. .

Shabu shi (18)

This is how pack our table is. . . The best part is on the conveyor belt, the chef was standing there and we were the last table on the corner and whenever he put new ingredients, we took all of it and till a certain time, he got piss off cuz other customer could not enjoy it and he went to the front to put all the new ingredient…kekekek~

Shabu shi (19)

This is how we eat our steamboat with Malaysian Culture and every one that walk pass by our table, look at us like dinosaur, as our eating steamboat habit is definately different compare to the rest of the people there.

Then after dining, Goft only told us that this is one of a famous Japanese steamboat buffet in the mall that attracted alot people go. If got chance when you are in Bangkok and would want to try something different, try out this Shabushi, value worth and the ingredients are all fresh and good! – REcommended!!

we had a very satisfying lunch that last us till late dinner. 😀

One thing is that you cannot compare the pricing and quality to Malaysia restaurant cuz they enjoy lesser taxes and that’s how Thailand industry grow so well ..

When you visit Bangkok, one of the place that you must go is their Floating Market. Previously we did have in plan to visit Bangkok Floating Market and it was scrap because that we are heading to Pattaya, they have another one too, but the floating market in Pattaya is man made market while the one in Bangkok is the original and natural place.

After we had our lovely breakfast at famous French Bakery (click here) then head to this floating market. This post is more picture than write up . ..

pattaya floating Market (1)

It was sardin pack with lots of people, and we were drop off by our driver.

pattaya floating Market (2)

It was burning hot morning and humid as we were walking we can feel the heat penetrating to our bone.

pattaya floating Market (3)

Looking at the map, its a huge man made floating market .. . .

The very last time I travel to this area was my college times, as we visit this place quite frequently for the western food and seafood as we find the seafood was relatively cheap, it was not until last month when my best friend Tatt came down for his business trip also treat us for his birthday before he went back. One thing that I know that the Subang Airport now had transform till very nice and I really wish that on that time it was operate by Airasia when they very first started(for convenience wise). BB Seafood Village

I guess the restaurant that I ate is no longer at the same place as and had move as then I still remember that it was very next to the western food (Papa and Mama Grill).

BB Seafood

BB Seafood (2)

A very classic type of seafood restaurant build with atap and set with wooden and plastic chairs.

BB Seafood (3)

The very first order came by was ‘Clear Fried Clamp’ RM16 which I find it very aromatic with the slices of ginger taste had cover the clamp very well to overpower the smell of it and fried it very nice as we enjoy it very much.

BB Seafood (5)

‘Stir Fried 3 Mix Bean with Dry Shrimp’ that had makes me thought that what a simple dish it is but that proves me wrong always as simple dish is always nice which is very hard to cook, and the vegetable are very fresh with the beans are very crispy, ladies finger is very soft and abit gammy that the small shrimp saltiness is just right. RM 15

BB Seafood (6)

I would say this is the best of all, ‘Mongolian Prawn’ which is deep fried yet the meat in it is very soft and was shower with the abit spicy, creamy and sour sauce on it. Goes very well with rice as every one is fighting for it. RM18 Its good and worth a try.

BB Seafood (7)

‘Steam Fish’ fish is rather normal as steam with soy sauce but the meat is soft that shows the sign of freshness. RM24

BB Seafood (8)

‘Salted duck Egg Crab’ I have never tried crab in salted duck egg version, turns out to be very shell licking good as I keep aiming to eat the left over small pieces of duck egg and the crab was fried in wok that make it all stick around the crab to very aromatic. RM 68

It was a great meal treated by Tatt as convenient for him to fly off after that and in that month itself he celebrated his b’day more than 5 times.

The last day at Redang and return to the mainland which is Terengganu for a day trip. Alot of my friend told me not to waste my time to go there but I still remember that, when I was young, everytime thought of Terengganu will think of Turtles lay egg. Even did once when I was in primary follow school trip to came here to see turtle lay egg, mana tau, after wating whole nigght with lots of ppl tarak anyting. Even the turtle ghost bayang also tarak!
But still decided to go ahead and follow my buddie Tatt and his gang for the day tour. The bloody thing was me and my friends waited for him for 4 hours. We were sent out by the hotel in the earliest boat and his hotel send them out the latest boat. WTF>!
The best part is, when he keep asking where am I and I asked him where is he for the 1st sms, he said on the way, then me and my friends were sitting in one of the stalls nearby just to wait for him. Hours past and the shop also wanna tutup liau, so we went to his jetty to wait for him.
2nd sms came, saying that reaching liau, the boat is parking. Suprrisingly, the boat just passby us which is from Laguna and not his and ngam ngam parking also, thought that he took that boat. Mana tau 45 mins later also didnt see him. Just ignore then.
3rd sms came. Just finish cornaring..parking soon. I straight away told him..Tiu..where got boat park, I am at your jetty, no boat also. Then no reply.25 mins later his boat arrive. Sial betul.. 4 hours wait. from 10.30 – 2.30pm
The first stop of the day as we requested was the market where I get to read the brochure saying that a great place to stop by. Just follow loh~

Bazar Warisan is one of the new buidling but we found out that, most of the items sold there are Batik’s. Noting much to see and many shops havent really open for biz yet also but me and my friend were wondering, are there any ppl goin to go buy ah?

At the pasar, as you can hardly spot chinese in this market. Onli like 1-3% only. This outdoor market is more like Chee cheong Kai style price average~

Me and Tatt at the pasar~

Candy that we are going to buy.

The stuff here are very ‘cheap ah~’. Buy more got free ah, don want to be also Free ah! Get free to taste lots of the food here as the kakak is very nice. Let us try a few so we decided to buy from her also, since she so good in talking.

Inside the market were selling about the same thing also. But since we arleady bought it, just walk walk around loh~

Then saw this, as I remembered that a month ago, my colleage did treat me eat this which is very very very nice. I just bought a small pack only.

I tell you, when the gurls Colleen and Nancy walk pass that time, the saw this and shout…..WOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII…Faster faster come and see what is this, then me an Tatt ran over and see what’s so special la.. It was really special, the sweets that was extinct already. All of us used to eat this when we were very young. Like bout 5-11 like dat. One of the hit thing in those days. So we did sapu quite alot packet also. I just share with my bro cuz too sweet.

Then go walk walk around. The whole upper floor sell the same thing which is Batik and Malay traditional clothes. See their pricing is not really cheap but then only 1 more comment. The design are very nice!

After this, the rest were suggesting we head to the floating Mosque. It is like around 15 mins from there so okay loh~
Then instead of going to the floating Mosque we saw this place which is kinda amazing. Did not even know that this exist in Terengganu. Then we question ourself, Y here? Not some other states. This is the :
