Prefer a driver during peak hours or food hunt? Well, driving in kl during peak hours is indeed testing your patient level. Most of us will have our first shocking experience at Federal Highway or MRR2 which is the signature highway for crazy traffic. Stress level is high and it hit the roof when it is Friday and raining!

image5

After settling with that, next is a very challenging situation when you would want to hunt for your favorite food and some location is always filled with very limited parking.

One of the most common issues with some area that is lack of parking, you will encounter on the double parkers!

image6

Issue with double park is most of them just park there and dissapear for hours. Standing there under the hot sun, honking like mad person and cursing all the way for those not considerate peeps whom never leave their numbers at dashboard. The whole neighbourhood is annoyed at this situation! Only then the driver realise their car is blocking you or slowly strolling out after their meals.

image2

There are few places of restaurant that I like but rarely head over cuz of crazy parking situation. Whenever I thought of Burgertory or Outdark, next thing came into my mind is parking! Or other places like Ss2 or Bangsar for Hong Kong Hotpot is like have to think twice.

image12

Limited parking space also gives me a second thought where, to head for a review to places like Uptown Damsara will have to think twice as the amount of time to look for a spot can be estimated 10-20 minutes depending on luck. Dislike being late but this is one of the causes!

image10

One or my big no no when my friend “jio” to yum cha at SS15 or Puchong area. It is a big no no to me.

Not too sure is that what you guys feel or having the same thought as me. What are your favourite eatery area that you love and always have to think twice when comes to this problem.

1

“According to Uber Malaysia (tag Uber FB) research says that we Malaysians each spends 152 hours a year finding parking, don’t you want those hours back to do something better? – Imagine what you could do with 152 hours!!! Watch 75 movies maybe. . .

I was lucky when I got selected by the company to get send over to Bangladesh for a showcase, during the past 4 days I am there, with very limited free time that I have, I manage to take a peek of the city during last day of the fair, the food there was great (click here) and the fair where I was attending (click here).

During the last day, I woke up very early and went to the fair to set up everything, and the remaining of the time before the exhibition start, I went out further into their city to take a glimpse on how the city looks like as I was very curious and at the same time need to go hunting for souvenir.

Bangla (10)

Let’s ride on this taxi and let me take you a mini tour street photography that I had took. I am still learning in this area.

Bangla (6)

With only an hour that I have, I walked fast and snap fast, do not have the time to enjoy the proper street photography that I have always wanted. I just wish I do have the extra time.

Bangla (3)

It was very early morning around 7am where every one is still sleeping and I was walking around my hotel area to see what is around there. They sky is always hazy here and those with sinus, this would not be a country good for you.

Bangla (11)

One thing which I have realizes that, there are a lot of universities in Bangladesh city itself. Just along the road of my hotel, there are 4 of them and not to mention a few blocks away and even though most of them are with degree holder but their pay is just very little with fresh grad non technical background, will get paid around USD100 per month and those with technical background USD200, which is double. That is why you see a lot of Bangladeshi in our country that even though they sapu toilet, the pay is higher than their fresh grad pay.

Bangla

Then directly in between 2 universities, located this street food, as I was advice not to try as I got the license of smell and see only, which is pretty suffering for me, I love fooooddd! This is because they scared that our anti body system cannot support the level of dirtiness there, and will get terrible stomachache.

If you are looking for something to shop, this are the kind of shop you will be looking for that all cramp in one place. They still do use classic wiring that is all over the poll to the shop and when look up at it, its full of wiring.

Everyone loves to be in the picture in this country, no matter young or old, whenever you take your camera up and ready to shoot, they will just appear in front of you.

Bangla (9)

Bangla (21)

After tour around the hotel, and head to exhibition hall and set up everything, now head to their town area.

Bangla (22)

According to the guy that driving me around, this road would be very jam as the current distance to the traffic light could take up 30-45 minutes easily, as I was like hah! its worst than KL traffic jam.

Bangla (23)

They do have ‘tut tut’ service too as what is in Thailand. Sometimes they just don stop and how you ride on it is you run and hop, then as see in the picture, just grab it like the guy do till you reach the destination then you hop off again.

Bangla (24)

I was told by that guy that, this is the main market in Bangladesh City which I can get my souvenir here.

Bangla (25)

Most of the shops had not open yet, but for consumer wise, it is very easy for us that they had seperated everything into sections. This street would be more on clothes and jewelry . . .

Bangla (26)

The book sections, where all the shops cramp in this area selling books.

Bangla (27)

Head to another level,

Bangla (28)

Shoe section. . . .

Bangla (29)

To me, it feels more like ‘Padang Besar’ like the one at the boarder of of Thai and Malaysia.

Bangla (30)

Bangla (31)

Flower Sections.

Bangla (32)

The market is very huge, which is like a big rectangle box and this is another entrance / exit that I do not know where I have walk too, and outside this market, there are alot of vendors selling shoes and slipper . One of the favourites there are Crocs slipper are available too with around RM20 as their selling price (original or not, I have no idea)

Bangla (54)

and lastly after could not find anything in the market, and stop by this shop, which is a shopping mall with 4 floors high, that makes me nearly fainted when I walked in. Its like mini market in our country that been well decorated in interior.

After the peek of it and I went back to the exhibition and grab a travel guide from one of the exhibitors there and look at their places of interest. Amazingly, there are actually quite numbers of places to be visited that have to drive out from the city and their structure looks good! More info of their travel of interest (click here)

Every one’s stomach is just so full, at first we thought of taking cab but then was told that it was 15 minutes walking there so I highly suggested we walked if not too full later drink..U know lah~ what is the after effect you will see.
CampbeIls Soup on the move. I just like how Hong Kong companies advertising method. The branding is so good.
This brand H & M was told that its one of the trendy brand in HK which is cheap and lots of things to buy. This is the biggest H&M shop which had 4 lvls. Cant wait to look what they offer. Will be coming here again for the shopping trip tomorrow which is at Central.

In the night what you can see mostly on the streets are the taxi’s. Its every where.

This is the first time I saw such a big Coach retailing outlet. Well decorated and also its 2-3 lvls.

Finally we had reach the bottom of the streets. This is how it looks like on the streets.

Gay Keong trying to show his gayness again. (just don understand) and the worst part is Steven also join him , SHItt!~

Not good when you trying to take pic with both of them. This is how it end up!

They are just so want to take pictures. Thought of taking candid but while the are walking, talking and looking around yet they still manage to look here instantly.
Certainly it look much better than Bangsar. The outlet design and the feel that they have is totally different.
Most of the bar were filled with ppl so we decided to choose this bar. Not much ppl and can accommodate all 30+ of us. So we come and we Conquer.. Wakakkaka
Definately, a beer you wouldn’t want to miss is the HoeGarden. We have been drinking Hoe Garden since from the very first day. Its just soooooooooo nice. Would taste too beer’ly yet had some sweet taste.
The night starting to go craze, with we came here also to celebrate our 2 very dearest friend B’day which is the 1 you see they had post under the street board. Gay Keong and Steven. So I was told to go order the strongest alcohol they have in the bar.
I ask the bar tender what do you have for the strongest, he told me, ‘Long Island Special’. That he will mix with 10 other different mixer. Cool cool, so this is what is put on the table.

Every one…Yammmm Sennnggg!~!~!~

Aquilah join us with the fruit mocktail which their name is very funny, ‘Virgin on the Beach’ and the other 1 I cant really remember.

The Birday song Begin. While the birday song begin, I was told to think and prank on them. While I was thinking I saw a dam good pic on the wall of the bar and ask the bar tender where to get that. He told me its already close. Then I thought of a similar idiot idea and was laughing all the way as I told Ellis about it she totally agree with me. So we run to the nearest 7-11 to grab the accessories.
Me and Ellis was laughing and getting so excited about it. Cant wait to see how’s their reaction.

So while we go back, I had to be Emcee for the night. So usually we don let go the Birday ppl so easily. Start off with POLE DANCING. Where is the pole. The pole is MANMADE!

Then I told Keong..More HIONG! Like dat not enough. So this is what he ended up doing.

Lau EE Cyndy was pull into the action.! She is the laughing stock of our group. A person very stim stim yet dam funny and blur.

As the crowd got craze, every one just want to tag in.

Then Cyndy got pull into action again. This time is to pretend she kena raped. So darn funn.y.y.

When I was about to go anouce, I couldn’t stop myself from laughing and smiling so this is I hav to pretend to be cool to announce.

So before the surprise, come come, I take pic, post with yeeeeeeeehhhhhhh…style…hgahaha. Ah Keong was hailing, lai la…never scared.! The surprise package is in my hand with WHITE PLASTIC BAG.

So both of them were blind folded with the red tissue.

Let me review our surprise for tonite…

Zheng zheng Zheng…………………….~~~~~

Would not review what we do with it. Let your imagination run wild and your creativity.

After the whole prank was over, they were treated with the usual trend now, Flaming Lamborghini, its a bit different compare to us which the bottle is not that high and the bar tender seems like do not know how to handle it.

The prank tools. Red and yellow.

One slurp finish all~
Then there is a guy trying to go to the toilet as we had block the pathway, then he came by and wish both of them Happy Birthday also, then I was told come come have a pic, and guys, please show him your surprise. When this guy saw wat is it he was like , Fuck!!! Hell nOOO.. Don even touch me with that!
Steven was laughing at ah keong, and Ah Keong so Pei. Stim already and scold us, Apa Lanciau!~

Then after this shot, ah Keong Kena parking outside the bar to take some fresh air. Could not even walk straight

So ladies and gentleman, that’s the end of it. we head back to sleep after that.

Prepare for Day 4…Shoppinnnngggggg~

When we were down to the bottom of the hill and took a taxi to the ferry terminal and across the sea and again take taxi to reach this place. From the harbour to this place is around 15 mins walk but every 1 is just so tired and very very hungry for food so decided to take taxi.

Finally reach at this restaurant. Eat all you can!!! HKD 78.

When we walked into the restaurant the crowd is only a few tables, it was quite late already, our dinner suppose to be at 9pm but when we reach this restaurant , its already around 11pm. So, its consider our supper not dinner.

The place is rather comfortable, nicely decorated and proper steamboats not like the 1 at Sunway there with RM18 eat all you can steamboat.

We occupied 3 tables there~

The menu of selection which you can just pick and hantam which you think you want to eat. Only the menu on the left dark yellow and in the next page creamy yellow(veggie area). The rest you have to pay~

The captain introduce us the Ox Gatherings which he claims to be very nice, but I do not know what is that then my friends saying that the food there is enough to kill you. No need to order extra~

This is the spicy soup, as both of the soup were ordered by my friends. The color of it surely looks tempting and when it was at boiling point, I was eagerly trying out the taste and it sure taste very nice till I put a bowl for my self and salivate it till to the last drop.

The soup base is sweet with its aroma. Wonder what is the secret ingrediant~Highly Recommended

This is the ‘Pork Leg Soup’ which had been boil very long to get the aroma of it out.  When it was boil to the boiling point and the smell of its very nice soup aroma travels around makes you wanna grab your spoon and had the first taste of it.

The soup base is a highly recommended selection as the soup base is so sweet with the taste of the pork leg and veggie taste in it also. It is perfectly nice for those cant take the spicy 1.

The usual thing that we order for steamboat is of course from left to bottom : Needle mushroom, Tomato and ‘Fu Gua’

From right, top to bottom: taufu and noodle

This is not what our table pick was pass over by another table asking us to try. It’s a must try item.

After putting in and boil for a moment, I took the whole thing and bite, straight away burn my tongue as the juice in it spurt out. It is sweet with corn taste, the skin is so soft like as it is perfect to be eaten at the end of the meal. Of course do not put this inside the spicy soup which will spoil the taste~

The taufu’s

From left: Corn, Squid, Vegie, Cuttlefish, Beef Ball and Fish Dumpling.

One of the best in there is the homemade beef ball. The filling in it is compact and after boil, it is springy and chewy.

From left: Home made fish cake, the corn thingy, beef slices and pig skin.

The best of in here of course the corn as mention above and the best thing in this steamboat which must not miss is the beef slices. We sapu like 10 plate of it for my table. It slices is so thin till are able to dip for a while and eat it. Very nice beef taste and certainly with the fats of it, just perfect. To eat in the spicy soup taste the best! Highly recommended~

After pouring everything into the pot turns out to be like this.

This is for the clear soup. Everyone, please prepare your chopstick and prepare to eat!!!

Warning: This table every is like a dinasour and beware: ‘every 1 is very hungry’. Please do not come here, come at own risk!!

My table that nite were seated with 10 guys and 1 gurl. This people never stop eating for the whole 2 hours. What ever is pour in, it is gone within minutes. Just like people haven eat for 3 days and saw whatever food to fill in the stomach should be good.

To eat steamboat I am happy that I was seated with this dinasaour or cow’s(4 stomach) cuz you get to eat alot of choices and every 1 never complains about eat abit then full.

We kept eating till finishing the whole pot until I forgot that I put in the last order. Came again but every 1 just happily contribute a bit by eating it out..

At the end of the meal, all of us got shock that the gurl in my table had been eating non stop till the end and definately she eat like a dinasour. So much that you cannot imagine a thin like lidi can eat.

This is the end result of the night. SATISFIED!!!!~

By the end of the meal, we were paying around HKD150 which every 1 thought to be HKD78. When we look at the receipt, it is correct. How it calculate out:

Soup base HKD98 each
A bowl of soy sauce HKD10 each
Tea HKD10 each
Other Item……
so total add up around that figure.

The best part is a small plate of soy sauce HKD10. This is how kewl the hongkee doing business.
We came out, the weather is just nice, just cold breeze enough for us to slowly stroll back to our hotel. Take about 15 minutes walk and we seriously need that. Every one’s stomach is so geli, buldging out~
The best part is I thought this is a club and suprise me that I found it is a main entrance of a bank and the posters stick on the main entrace is all the clubbing event for the month.
