char siew (1)

A place that is well hidden around the neighborhood yet it is very easily to be located as you enter the main road in SS2 Mall then just drive till the end you will see a few shop houses at the end which is a dead road.

char siew (2)

With so many strips of char siew hanging, these are all the temptations that keep calling our name.. . .:p

pricing wise on the food is on the average side a bit more than kopitiam but on their specialist on char siew I guess its a good price. . .

char siew (5)

a more clean version of kopitiam that you can expect.

char siew (6)

Here is the char siew as we ordered medium @ RM16

char siew (7)

Look at how well the char siew is coated, as my fave is always ‘pun fei sau’. For the first time I see a Char Siew that roast till so nice, as there are no burnt ends on it and so shinny and moist skin that s very caramelize . This Char Siew definitely stand above our expectation, the meat is soft and the taste just blend in so well, with a bit of sweet taste at the end. I sure do not mind to have the whole medium portion by myself.

As the Roast Pork do not tempt me that much but my colleague wanted to try so we ordered a small portion. @ RM 4 if not mistaken. a finely cut slice of roast pork. As a comment, don bother to order. . .

char siew (9)

Ordered their Roast Chicken and turns out to be not bad. .

char siew (10)

as many people also talk about their Hakka Mee and one thing that first catch my eyes is the noodle is showered with lots of fried pork lard. Find that the noodle is a bit dry and tasted normal and I mee pork more (Tang Pin Kitchen ss2).

char siew (11)

I cannot remember what is this already as it is the special for the day. The gravy Green Curry is too spicy that over power the taste of the meat and it was serve cold. Not even warm.

If you do come to Roast & Toast, the only thing I would recommend to order is just the Char Siew and if you would want to have noodle to go along, the Hakka Noodle is not bad lah.. If not just Char Siew alone is good enough and here is my another favourite Char SIew Stall which located at Sea PArk (Ah Khai Char Siew) which is another version of roasting. Cannot be compared.

One of the latest crave that hit me is keep hunting for Japanese cuisine after watching that Hong Kong TVB sushi series – The Rippling Blossom. In that movie showing how to eat sushi in a way filled with temptations. Therefore, when I went back to Penang, on and off I still hunt for food and hear quite lot of my friends said that Azuma Japanese Restaurant which located in Queensbay mall in Penang serve quite good food in there, while waiting for my bus to depart back go KL, I went there with my family. .

In a very normal Japanese dining, will have the conveyor belt on the sushi bar which you can just pick and choose your favourite sushi and eat.. . .. They also do have private small cubical which is perfect for couple to be seated and huge dining area to host more people.

The menu offer is quite standard and prive is slightly above compare to other outlets  .. .

If you are craving for pork burger and you type the word in Google, guess which restaurant that pop out? CrisTang is no longer a stranger to most of the foodie, this is not an ordinary burger like our fast food chain or Ramly burger, when comes to the crave of this, I have been reading a lot of foodie blog about this place with certain selection which is must have or must try! Famous Pork Burger CrisTang

It was not until recently, I manage to drag my colleague to dine at this place which I have been wanted to go for so long~ In this restaurant, besides the famous pork burger, they have a unique dressing which is sambal petai to add onto the burger!

Christang

Cristang Restaurant is located at 8 Avenue Business Centre Seksyen 8 PJ, which for the first time I took the wrong turn and lead me to one big round to reach this place.

Christang (2)

It is a cozy restaurant that lightly dims . . .

Christang (3)

with some decorations feels like old english . . . .

Christang (4)

and the place of the restaurant is not huge, limited spaces are available as when we reach there, around 6.30pm, the place were arleady 90% book up. Only left 2 tables for us to choose from.

Advice: please make a reservation, if you plan to visit this place on the weekend~

Christang (5)

Christang (6)

A mini bar that serve variety of drinks and alcohol, especially Germen Beers.

Christang (7)

This are my siau bestie, colleague that makes them a good drinking, travelling and siau people to go along with but the day turns very miserable for one of them.

Christang (8)

This place cannot be denied that they serve pork, so piggy is everywhere with the pillow for you to sit on and to accompanied you eating too.

When we look at the menu, its full with temptations, with the description written in it, everything sounds delicious. Comes to a conclusion that, we start off with a must order item . . . . Besides serving their famous pork burger, they do have other selection such as pasta, western food and some local cuisine to choose from. Their famous pork burger with P1 – P9 to choose from.

When it comes to weekend, most of us will tend to hang out, finding a nice spot to gather with our friends. One of the café or bistro known as The Library which is no strangers to all of us which is located at The Curve, that is usually pack during weekend especially at night.

[No Longer in Operation]

I have heard a lot of my friends keep mentioning about this place, The Library since last year but not until recently I only visited this place, because of the promotions my friend told me about it which is buy one free one.

Library

On the out look of the interior surely it had attracted alot of attention on what is it about by creating the curiosity out of it which last time when my friend invite me to this place I scolded them for doing what on Friday night in the library until the explain to me. Lol~

Library (2)

Library (3)
I love how the decorated the whole place with simple classic leather library couch place in the middle, with big chairs on all each of the table, with dummy book racks on the wall and all the waiter and waitresses dress like a librarian with a spectacles on them.

Library (4)

On the fridge, the display cake is surely full with temptations that most of them look so good, but what restricted me frrom ordering is the price of it that easily cost RM20++ per piece.

Library (5)

On the open space area it look a bit different, just like normal clubbing scenes with stool and tables.

Library (6)

In the bar, they sure do serve alot of internation beer which is one of their famous signature HoeGaarden.

Library (7)

Library (8)

Besides that they do have a mini DJ deck area also with a stage for live performance on every weekend at night and what I came accross that if you were wanted to sit inside, a minimum order of 2 bottles is required.

Library (9)

Hang out with all my ex colleague which havent seen them in ages after I left my ex company with Looney, Stephanie and Seng Yang till another group of my drinking bestie came over. We had a blast in that afternoon as on that time we were told that the buy 1 free 1 promo is the last day. In total, we ordered around 12 sets which is around 22 pints of Hoegaarden (which I forgot to take pics of it).
