Honestly, this would be my first time entering the main entrance of the Petronas Twin Tower sky Bridge entrace. I read it in the internet, it used to be free few years back and now it is chargable when you pay a visit up there.

petronas (3)

Here are the charges. For local with my card its RM25 and for tourist would be RM 80. According to the guide that I have spoke to, they will tour 3 levels. First stop would be the Sky Bridge at lvl 41 then after that will head to another 2 upper seleted levels with highest is about 100th floor for observation deck. Each will comes with a tour guide.

Before the entrance or after the exit, you will encounter with this huge giant LED screen. Its actually a interactive screen. I was a bit blurr when I was standing there what this whole thing is. Till I ask for assitantce and enquire on what is it about. Its actually an interactive panel which is by Petronas Motorsport.

The interactive wall is using a technology, Kinect that senses movements of visitors standing in front of the screen. You will notice in the screen you can see on the left are filled with liquid and metal elements on the right. What you have to do is to make the two elements clash with each other, then a short animation comes on. We see a mercury-like swirl and what emerges out of it is one of 5 things: mechanic heart, diamond grille, piston, shark, and headlights.

How it is interactive? You will need at least 2 person to make the 2 elements to blend together. Watch the video I have capture.

Have fun when you visit this Petronas Twin Towers Sky Bridge Visitor’s Center. This interactive panel will be there till 18th January 2013.

Here is the actual video on how you can play with it. 😀

It has been quite a while since I last step into Pavilion and I have read a few blog post that new restaurant opened on the 6th floor which looks pretty cool with its concept. Then few days ago, whereby, I came down to meet up my friend which had been quite long time since I last met her. Then I suggested this place Market Hall and she said not a bad place.

[UPdated Jan 2012: No longer in operations]

market hall (1)

I like their restaurant concept, which is similar to one of my favorite seafood restaurant when I was in Melbourne in Crown Casino.

market hall (2)

Right at the entrance they do sell other items more on Italian range and also some bottle drinks ..

market hall (3)

I like their concept with its simple contemporary rustic style, that place wooden tables and chairs, using chalkboard on the wall to draw what is the specials of the day.

market hall (4)

market hall (5)

market hall (6)

A very huge open concept kitchen and you will be amaze to see how many chefs and assistant are in there.

market hall (7)

Their pasta are made fresh daily or would say, when we place order then only they will prepare it ..

market hall (8)

Not only that, you get to choose the seafood too . .

market hall (9)

in the chiller, the desert looks tempting too . .

market hall (10)

market hall (11)

In the menu, they do offer more on the Italian side, with Risotto, pasta, pizza and others. . .

market hall (12)

Then comes by this complementary bread stick with salsa sauce I guess and its nice, soft loaf that prepare fresh and warm then dip with the salsa sauce is just perfect. Eat it while its warm.

market hall (13)

Then in the menu found this dish to be very unique ‘Tagliatelle – Fresh Salmon tossed in Vodka, citrus zest, and mascarpone cream sauce @ RM 32.90. For the price of this and the amount of small chunks of salmon in there is very generous, which I can say that every bite will filled with salmon. I love the taste of it , which is a bit sourish of the olive, and the sauce just coat on the tagliatelle which is fresh made. I love it .. – Recommended~

market hall (14)

Now days, I am hook with anything that state with blue cheeze ..  although not many people can accept the taste but if it is done well, the taste is super nice. Then I try out Market Burger Spicy Mayo, caramelise Onion, Bleu Cheeze @ RM 22.90

When it was served, my friend she kept laughing cuz it looks like baby’s diapers been wrap up and ready to throw away . .I was like ‘Oi..that’s my food ler’ . . . .

market hall (15)

I love this burger how it was done compare to other restaurant by using fluffy buns, and this the made it more like focassia bread that been toast on both side till the top is crisp’s and the butter just soak into the bun welly. The beef patty is home made by judging its compact meat and was cook medium well to my liking. The juicy sauce combines well with the taste with the burger doesnt make it too dry and the bleu cheeze was stuff in the middle of the burger that very mild in taste and make the aroma stood up and combines well. I enjoy this burger very much . .- Recommended~

market hall (16)

Then only I realise that the side entrance I used to see alot people queing up on weekend is a bar behind the restaurant which is called the Bedroom, more on foreign style too which I rate a bit of opera decor on the ceiling with comfy leather sofa and huge dance space.. I will sure come and check it out one weekend. .

I am quite satisfied with the food quality that they served in Market Hall and the service is not bad too, or I guess it was just weekdays whereby only a few dining tables were occupied. Anyway, I will return to try out their desert as I was full on that night. If you are looking for nice ambiance to hang out with friends, its a Recommended place by me ..

KL Hilton is one of the participants in Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) 2010 for the 6th consecutive year as they join the 10th successive event with Chynna, Iketeru and Senses serving a variety of Oriental and Western Flavours from 1st to 31st October 2010.

Hilton MIGF

As for this festive season menu, I am heading to Iketeru at Hilton Kuala Lumpur for my very first experience on Japanese food in this menu. I never knew that there is one hidden restaurant located at the 8th floor which at the swimming pool area of the hotel, as I always thought that it’s all located at ground and 1st floor.

On this dining, I just got to know there is one special guest is joining us tonight too. One  TV Host.

Hilton MIGF (2)

Right before the entrance of the restaurant, its decorated with traditional mini Japanese garden landscape with fountain, wooden hut placed next to it.

After very disappointed lunch and still hungry cuz did not finish the meal and thought of having desert here, again as alot of times I passby saw quite alot of ppl and the food they offer seems good.
The food stall is mange by 2-3 auntie, thought that ppl around that age would cook good food. As I look around alot of ppl are eating the Nasi Lemak which I think is their signature food. Judging from the Nasi Lemak it is a very plain, just with egg, nuts, anchovies and sambal. Do not look tempting to me.

This is the look of the stall.

From the picture of the ‘Tong Sui’ it sure look very nice and so to be happened that on that day itself I forgot to walk over to see the quality of the ‘Tong Sui’ as you can peek at the counter where they warm it with rice cooker.

This is what I order Yi Mai Fu Chuk (front) and ‘Black Glutinous Rice with Coconut Milk’(back)

To my dismay, I was like so watery till ike drinking water. Do Not look like tong sui at all! The ingredient that they gave in there is like 1/8 of the bowl the rest is water. Too little. The taste totally gone..no sweetness or the taste of fu chuk or bali. Hopeless drink. I only manage to drink 3 sip.

This is the ‘Black Glutinous Rice with Coconut Milk’. By looking at the picture will know that it is a bad 1. I have never seen such tong sui before. Not sticky, the coconut milk like mix with water as the colour of it is so pale.

The Bak Chang’ also not nice, it is dry, full with nuts and abit tasteless. Quite expensive for noting much in a chang. Only nuts, salted egg yolk and mushroom.
Total for the 3 item is RM10 which is WTF!!! with the quality they are serving. Just not my lunch day. Eat every thing also tasteless and down loh~~~
Just wondering, the food is so not nice, why is it still so many people?
