There are quite a number of buffet steamboat restaurant in the market but how many of them are actually value for money and nice? Well, during CNY week, we were lazy to cook ourselves and there is a change of plan on changing restaurant as most of them decided to give it a try on this Umami Steamboat buffet with all you can eat that located right at Sunway Mentari.

A restaurant that will cater many people that they have actually taken up about 2 shoplot that offer lots of space.

Their business is quite good as when we left all the tables outside were taken out.

For me I still prefer to have my steamboat inside with some air condition if not I will be drench in sweat.

An advantage of this outlet is that they do offer bbq section with chicken wings. . .

On the inside for you to choose to hammer inside your soup base quite a selection of fish ball. . .

Seafood lovers this section certainly is your choice with many types of seafood for you to choose from.

Best of all also you get to have free flow of slice meat which is my favorite

There are 5 soup base for you to choose from . . .as was told by one of the staff that Fish Head soup is one of the preferred by customer.

We tried on the Tom Yam Soup and Umami Chicken soup. Both of the soup turns out to be better than alot of places that we have tried before. . .

As for desert they do have jelly and Ice Cream to offer you  . .

Overall, with about total RM30 per head I find it quite okay on pricing and quality. If you ask me to choose, I would opted for other choices but if you plan to have a great steamboat range, Umami can be one of the choice in my list as I have tried others which is much worst that I don bother even to blog about it.

On the up side, this outlet is pork free that I see a few malay families dine in here.

I am keen to try out another outlet in Wangsa Maju as I was told by a friend that they over a very good range and cheap too. Will arrange to go luuu . . .

Good Evening Bangkok @ 1-Utama

Savadeekap, recently like I have seems like I have dine a few Thai Restaurant that one of it I just blogged on – Surisit Thai Kopitiam is one of the Thai food that served non Halal. Then there are a few more I have not written yet. Then there is one which my friend loves it alot is located in the same mall right infront of speedy video is Just Thai, which I find it good too especially the spiciness level is there to make the kick, kick’s in! Good Evening Bangkok

Next in line on more towards authentic Thai food is this outlet Good Evening Bangkok as I didnt notice this shop till few weeks ago which is situated at Level 1 new wing walking towards the rain forest area.

3.  Iced Lemongrass @ RM8 – among the 5 I like this the most as it is refreshing and can prepare me well for the spicy food later.

Food Escapade @ Garden Lifestyle Store & Cafe, The Curve

What I we do get a chance to dine in a big open space green field with flowers blooming and cool wind towards us and enjoying our afternoon tea or lunch? That would be a chance that I do not want to miss. A new concept had been build upon for people like us, city dwellers that seldom got a chance to expose ourselves in those natural environment but something similar would be available to enjoy at The Garden Lifestyle Store and café which is located at The Curve with one of their originals at lower ground, 1-Utama.

Comes to think of it, this would be one of my longest food post so far. So hopefully you don read this during before lunch or dinner time.

They have the idea trying to bring the ambiance as relaxing as possible by decorating the whole place green with fan ceiling on the top, big bird cage a pianist to play for a relaxing moment.

In the restaurant they have two dining area, one would be open garden concept which would suits those who love air or smokers especially to be seated in this section but only one scenario that you guys should fear is rain!

A big cage decorated as the place to make it a bit english style.

When you feel that you are lonely or waiting for friends to arrive, a pianist that actually playing there with relaxing music (a bit of classical) to cheer up your mood.

According to some of the girls, he is consider cute and with a guy able to play piano for them on certain occasions, they consider that as romantic, which I nod my head and agree. 🙂

For those who do not like to be in outdoor by maintain fairer skin or prefer to be somewhere chill, indoor section would be a good choice after all, as it is decorated with lots of flowers, mini tress and pots to stir up the indoor ambiance.

 With all this, we could not thank more to Tracy for being one of the best host whom are very friendly, warm, down to earth person type and also she do focus alot on food management of the restaurant especially on food quality control.
