Well, in Kuala Lumpur we do have one of a signature that many locals that know about it. Famous Taman Connaught Night Market.

Pasar Malam Taman Connaught or Night Market in Cheras is already created its signature by being longest night market in KL. This had been a hit since long time ago, even when I studied in KL 12 years ago. For tourist, this is definately one of a place for you to visit and walk around besides China Town if you come at the right time, which is only on every Wednesday night.

Pasar Malam (67)

Pasar Malam (68)

Deep fried to perfection, stink enough that every one say its like toilet never wash for 4 days or drain got clock with stinky stuff. Well, not as bad as it is and its  love hate relationship. Still find Hong Kong & Taiwan taste so  much nicer although its much different.

Nowdays to eat snacks in Night Market is no longer cheap as I remember 10 years ago, RM20 enough to eat the whole street and for this round, after 10 years on my last visit, I spend about RM70 for the street snack. This is how much different compare to last time and of course choices of offering had change 50%. One of the best night market in KL.

Food snacks in here rangers from RM3-RM15, drinks from RM0.80 to RM10 and fashion shopping from RM1 – RM100 (depends on your bargaining skills)

Parking at the area will be horrible .. .

Its a great place to hunt for especially travelers, by Taxi it will cost about RM15-RM25 outright from KL, Bukit Bintang or by train , Star LRT to Tasik Selatan station then taxi..

Another of my favourite Pasar Malam is Pasar Malam OUG.

Right after floating market, and before hitting to Pattaya Night Life, Nancy is the one that actually came to Bangkok many times and she highly recommend us to visit this restaurant which is made of condom. . YES!! you heard it right..Condom, as actually its some of the mannequin that filled with full condom decoration like clothes and others. Bangkok Trip.

pattaya part 4 (1)

In the first plan, we are suppose to head to Condom & Cabbage, Bangkok as we have very tight schedule so we slide it and decided for Condom & Cabbage Pattaya instead as the have totally different environment compare to the one in Bangkok.

Let me tell you why Nancy highly recommend this restaurant is because of a reason. This restaurant promotes health and safety use of condom in sex life by fun and amusing manner and not only that as ALL the proceeds from the restaurants are used to fund the social development programs of PDA. So, that is why so Nancy insist us to come.

pattaya part 4 (2)

One thing which is very different compare to Bangkok that to head to the restaurant, you have to walk thru this mini garden trail for 2 minutes that is dimly lit up and its fun to have something different where by usually the restaurant you go, is right at your door step!

pattaya part 4 (3)

You will go thru a few sections of the garden till you reach this huge and spacious Tropical Jungle area as actual fact, this restaurant is sharing a garden with this beautiful resort.

pattaya part 4 (4)

So as you reach, you will be greeted by this 3 person wearing condom all over their body.

pattaya part 4 (5)

pattaya part 4 (6)

pattaya part 4 (7)

Then as the waitress guide us to the main dining area, we are suprise on how big this area is, as this section is on the upper deck of the hill side where by you can choose to be on top of the hill that over look the sea or head down there next to the sea . . .

pattaya part 4 (8)

Of course we choose head down there to be next to the sea . . and it seems pretty occupied. Its really a huge restaurant on a jungle style.

pattaya part 4 (9)

pattaya part 4 (10)

As we hike down, there are a few more tiers like another 2-3 more sections besides the upper deck.

pattaya part 4 (11)

All of us tired + hungry + sticky and grateful to be seated down at the moment at this beautiful area. One thing we find that, if you come here around sunset, I am very sure that its going to be a very beautiful place. If you do have a chance to stop by here, please do so during sun set and tell me how it feels. . 😀

pattaya part 4 (12)_resize

You will be very surprise on the variety of the menu they are offering and not only that, its the pricing the most important and we thought that we might got ripe off in such a pleasant dining ambiance but we are wrong!!!

pattaya part 4 (13)

This fried prawn fritters are perfect, crispy on inside out and the prawns are very fresh. Dip it with the thai chili sauce to make it more perfect.

pattaya part 4 (14)

pattaya part 4 (15)

Mix Veggie that are in plain fried yet it goes along very well with white rice. Simple and aromatic!

pattaya part 4 (16)

Green Curry Prawn, as the prawn is fresh with solid in meat and a bit coconut milky that is not too spicy, mild and the taste is totally very different from the one available in Malaysia as theirs is a bit sweet too, Mix with rice make it flood, perfect!

pattaya part 4 (17)

In Thailand of course you must not miss Tomyam but in this restaurant we tried out 2 different version of tomyam, one which is similiar like Malaysia Style Spicy tomyam (Tomyam Talay) @ @ 200 bhat. Its cook to perfection that its spicy, abit sour and sweet in taste because of the seafood that cook along.

pattaya part 4 (18)

To compare of course this Tomyam Prawn @ 200 bhat, stoods out to be better as the clear version of tomyam which lean towards more on sour spicy that the after taste kicks in after you drink it which is a bit more challenging and very nice in taste!

pattaya part 4 (19)

I always love Phad Thai Gung Sod @ 90 bhat, therefore come here also will not miss, fried with wok hei, noodles are quite sticky and squeeze along with lime and mix everything together, is how the way they eat it. Taste Fairly good but it leans towards a bit more on the sweet side.

pattaya part 4 (20)

pattaya part 4 (21)

Basil Chicken is another great dish that cook till the flavor absorb to the meat, which is not too dry, with the sauce that they use that  pairs very well with the flavor. I don like Basil but this taste pretty good.

pattaya part 4 (22)

Pandan chicken is nothing special just that the sauce is very good, sweet in the first taste spicy at the end!

pattaya part 4 (23)

This is another challenging dish, looks simple but use the pork and dip along with that bowl of sauce, super spicy as you do not feel it at first as after a few more pieces of the meat with the sauce, your whole tongue gets numb, as the challenge is we just cant stop eating, as it taste sooooo good!

pattaya part 4 (24)

Stir Fried Chicken with nut and dry chili, something also not to be miss.

One thing, as we are super full from so many dishes and the total bills comes to about 2236 bhat which surprise us alot! Its a cheap bill we would say. Food here is good, and well price, so do not miss if you do come to Pattaya!

pattaya part 4 (25)

As we walking out, we love the sign that place around the garden’s . . Just suitable to be use locally .. 😀

Next of course we head to the most happening street in town, which is Walking Street Pattaya. Walking street is the most famous street in (soi) Pattaya that host many good bar, clubs, strip club and many more. Some people rate this street as one of the most exciting street to look for fun that with 1000 meter long of fun street as besides bar there are also places like Gogo Bars and of course hostesses. You will surely find your fun here.

pattaya part 4 (38)

I would rate this is one of the best place for night life in Thailand, as I have visited nightlife in Phuket, Hatyai and Bangkok and I rate this the best. You should probably spend about 3 days 2 nights here itself!

pattaya part 4 (35)

A Go GO bar.. means what? you should drop by here to find out yourself~

pattaya part 4 (36)

More types of bars

pattaya part 4 (37)

Open concept type of pole dancer bar  . .

pattaya part 4 (39)

pattaya part 4 (40)

Alcatraz A Go Go

pattaya part 4 (41)

pattaya part 4 (42)

Well, according to my friend and Driver Moulin Rouge is one of the hottest one in the street whereby you should drop by to visit especially mens. . .

pattaya part 4 (44)

As we walk along the streets and we finally decided to hit the bar that looks the coolest and decent of all . ..

pattaya part 4 (45)

Walking Street bar that seriously have a big vintage car smack right at the side of the wall. . .

pattaya part 4 (46)

See how strong these women can do? Well, a piece of advice from my friend that, if you hit to any bars in Pattaya especially girls, do not take drinks or beer from strangers as chances of the drink got spike is 90%. Well, if you want to have a fun memory adventure in Pattaya, you can try that . .:p

pattaya part 4 (47)_resize

By Looking in the web that our hotel have a very nice scenery during sun rise as  I miss out the sunrise I just went up to take a quick glimpse of it. . The view up here is just superb! A very relaxing feeling that overlook the whole place of Pattaya. After a quick check out we head back to Bangkok for our continuation of city adventure.

pattaya part 4 (48)_resize

Then we stop by at the highway rest stop and its freaking huge compare to those ones in Malaysia. They have many restaurant, also shops that sell local delights.

Next to check out in our list is Chatuchak Market, Bangkok!

How many of you do you actually dine or yum cha at local kopitiam especially on local franchise chain? Often that we do not have satisfactory food or drinks in certain outlet. It was not until recently that Carmen insist to bring me here for the main reason they serve pretty good food for a franchise chain and second because her friend operate this outlet. This outlet certainly have my vote in ..

[close down]

Hailam (1)

This shop is located at one of my favourite Pork Ball Noodle Kopitiam (click here) which is directly behind is this Hailam Kopitiam, also facing directly Bangsar Village.

Hailam (2)

A place that you can dine quite cozy with marble tables and wooden chairs, as there are alot of fans in the ceiling that keeps the cool air around.

Hailam (3)

They have pretty wide range of food and drinks and price wise I find it rather cheap compare to another 2 brands. One good thing about this shop as it is a HALAL kopitiam.

Hailam (4)

Hailam (5)

Traditional Hazelnut White Coffee, Ice Roasted Coffee and Hailam Milk Teao

Hailam (7)

Passion Fruit & Dragon Fruit Shake @ RM 7.50

Hailam (8)

Traditional Hailam Tea and Traditional Hailam Roasted Coffee @ RM3.20

I am not really a coffee drinker as most of my friend know, as I drink coffee I have the opposite effect which is getting sleepy. One thing that really love is the coffee here. Certainly beats quite a number of places that the taste of coffee is robust, well blend, strong in aroma and did not go too milky. If you are here, certainly its a recommended drink!

Hailam (9)

A simple Toasted Sliced Bread with Butter & Kaya @ RM2.50 where you think most of us can do it at home, I just do not know what is the trick that it can be toasted out crispy and with one bite, you can see the crumbs dropping off and a simple spread of butter and kaya makes it a simple bites to be wobble down. Must eat it while it is freshly out from the toaster! If you pair this with the hot coffee and  half boil egg it would be the most perfect combination of all!!

Hailam (10)

For the price of RM 7.20 for Chicken Deluxe Sandwich, it is certainly reasonable in price with generous amount of ingredient added in, chunks of chicken and vege with sauce evenly spread makes it nice to eat.

Hailam (11)

Tuna Egg Sandwich @ RM5.20

Hailam (12)

Star of the night is this Hailam Chicken Chop with Original Sauce. We never expect a chicken chop will taste so good and impress us so far at this kind of restaurant chain. It is juicy and tender, as the meat is not dry, sauce is well balance that I just requested for another bowl of sauce to make it gravvyyyy enough for me on the chicken and fries. Recommended!  RM14.20

Hailam (13)

A dish of Mix Fried Mee (Fried Ying Yeong) especially with HALAL status, caught us by surpise that it was fried perfectly with wok hei, that certainly can match with many chinese hawker center area on quality. I just had this again when I was meeting my friend there 2 hours ago. It is satisfied, and my malay friend find it delicious.Recommended! RM7.80

Hailam (14)

I always love to try tomyam fried rice, not many places that can fried this to my likings, either too powdery, or the taste is too strong. Then find that Hailam Tomyam Fried Rice offer in this shop is well balance in taste, with a bit of sourish and spicy that comes to my liking. RM8.80

Hailam (15)

A simple malaysian delicacies which is Nasi Lemak Special with Rendang Ayam, with rice is very fragrant with coconut milk that serve along with thick curry gravy and eat along with the sambal just goes along very well. RM9.60

Hailam (16)

Fried Kuey Teow another dish that surprise us. Fried with enough wok hei, till the koay teow is very fragrant and while smelling it, already makes a lot people hungry. After the first bite into our mouth, we were stun! the taste is very similiar to the ones in Penang, not only that, it was fried without pork lard and we just cannot imagine that if the chef can fried with pork lard, this dish will be a big hit among many people. Recommended!

Hailam (17)

Hailam Fried Mee/ Hailam Mee @ RM8.50

Hailam (18)

Curry Noodle

I know that many franchise chain food are quite disappointing, but when comes to this outlet, I would want to say that their food certainly outstanding compare to other shops and I have went back here a few times since I was brought by Carmen that I must thank her now, even now I know where to bring my Malay friends when they crave for nice chinese  HALAL food.

Last trip of back to Penang, Seh Poh Kio the first thing when I reach back after dumping all my luaguage back at home and went to pick up my friend, heading to Seh Poh Kio for supper. There are very limited places in Penang to hunt for Chinese food during at night after 12am. I was craving for burger that night around 1.30am.

The business of this stall its good at most of the time, depends on your luck when you dropping by that you have to wait long or wait for a while. Luckily on that night I did not wait for long as I was the 3rd person only.

The stall owner is the one leg kick person. Cook, wrap, and sell

My order was ‘Chicken Burger Special’ (Pg version means with Cheese and egg) as I love the version here as one of the best, well cook that preserve the taste of the slice of the chicken meat and well wrap around with the ngam ngam cook egg and top with a slice of cheese and cover with a layer of mayonnaise. RM4 if not mistaken.

Besides this stall that I usually enjoy eating from the thai hawker stall behind it was the ‘Fried Tomyam Maggie Mee’ a style of its own, not too spicy yet soury and filled with mini seafood is a taste that I am missing but on that night, the taste had change not as nice as it used to be. Still not bad but not as craving taste already. RM5

This restaurant always caught my curiousity to try on the restaurant as the place seems okay and quite crowded occasionally. So it was Saturday and do not know what to eat then thought of this restaurant and need to get someting at Sg.Wang also. It was quite empty when I reached. So chose to sit on the swing area.
Usually in a restaurant when I saw there is a ‘Jasmine Green Tea with pearl’ I would just order it. The taste of course would not too sweet. The pearl is very nice, not too soft but very chewy. The kind that I prefer. RM4.90

My friend she ordered Fizzi Ribena with Lemon’. It is quench thrist drink. So refreshing after drinking it. Not too much Ribena syrup on it and just nice and the lemon taste with the ribena goes along well. RM5.50 which I think it is kinda expensive for Ribena and a slice of lemon.

In the menu, there is not much food to choose from.

In the menu, what looks interesting in the picture was this ‘Crispy Chicken Rice’. It came out someting similar on the picture but with dissapointment on the taste, it is not good at all. The chicken slice is so thin till like you are eating the crispyness of it all the time. The gravy sauce taste geli. More like a clear watery mushroom sauce. Ended up did not finish the meal also.RM11.90 for this.
My order was ‘Curry Laksa‘ as I suddenly crave to eat that on that moment. When it came, I asked my friend did I order curry laksa or tomyam soup. Then ask the waiter and he said that it is Curry laksa. Shit!!! I have never seen curry laksa which is so watery till like tomyam soup or prawn mee. By the look itself already can judge that it is no good.
Both of us was staring at it and I take my first sip of the soup. As expected. With big disappointment!!! In the bowl have only a few pieces of chicken cubes, the long beans taste no good, the soup is so watery just like you boil a bowl of hot water and just add on some of the paste you can get it in Giant or Carrefour. I order Bee Hoon and Mee then ended up with Bee Hoon. I did not finish my food also. Too hard to swallow. RM8.90(not worth at all)Please change name to Chicken Mee or Tom Yam soup with added Chili in it.
In this restaurant, to go for a drink it is definitely good. But to go for the food, me and my friend totally no next time. BANNED!!!!
After that we decided to head to the second stall for desert on the other end.
