Right after the movie, we walk back to Pavilion as my car park there because that I do not want to be jam at Convention Center due to PC Fair on that day.

Felt that its still a bit early and before heading off, got to know that my favorite desert shop now had open at Pavilion and went to try it out.

Located directly infront of Padini, here stood a nice stall which caught by my surprise that they operate it here as I always thought that it would be around Forever 21 area or Food Republic.

A nicely build up desert stall which is very different compare to their branch at SS15.

Menu is not the same as they do not have light snacks here, due to their location at Pavilion that are not allow to cook.

Snowflakes under ‘Grass Jelly Version’ that have pearls, red bean, peanut and I add taro balls.

Then pour upon the given milk base to add in extra flavour. Just love how they did their blended smooth ice that just melt in my tongue.

Then my friend order the ‘Taufufa Series’ with their very own signature Taro Balls and this is serve warm. Love the taste of it which had a clear soup base which is very refreshing as my friend was sick that day which is good. The taro balls never dissapoint us as its still the same as the main branch, chewy like buble gum.
They event have new flavour- coconut base ice series. Taste good on first few mouth, then I start to feel geli after half way. Too much cooconut for me yet my friend just love it.
Never got bored of the desert from this shop and had a brief chat with the friendly owner that they are planing to open more branches soon. So look out~

Tropicana is one of my favourite mall for movies based on convinience in parking, much less people and cheaper by 10%. One of the reason its nearer to my house and office. Well, there are actually some eatery in Tropicana that serve pretty decent food that I small little shop that I have dine pretty often is Tuan Yuen that serve Taiwanese food at Lower Ground, same area as Tea Chansii or Carrefour Level.

[UPdate – No Longer in Operation]

Bare in mind that Taiwanese food are mild in taste, not as heavy taste as our local food.

Taiwan (1)

This little shop is a small family business that operate by both the ‘tau keh so’ and her son along with 2 worker. The owner herself is from Taiwan that had migrated to Malaysia and starting up this business to promote Taiwanese food. Since I came back from Taiwan, this is something that is quite near to Taiwan food taste and sadly to say she is tweaking the taste to suits our local taste bud.

Taiwan (2)

Price is pretty decent that starts from RM7.50 and quite a huge range of Taiwanese food that you can choose from.

Taiwan (3)

One of my favourite is the dumpling that you must order, Me and ken love it alot as we find its pretty similiar to Taiwan. Something simple to start off with.

Taiwan (4)

Taiwanese sausage is pretty simple and direct whereby you can eat it in most of the night market . . .

Taiwan (5)

Taiwanese Style Extra spicy Beef Rice @ RM 11.90

Taiwan (6)

One of their signature is this Big Meal Beef Noodle, Extra Spicy @ RM 11.90 that I often order. Colour of the soup gives you the impresion that its not spicy and after a few sips of the soup, it will make your tongue numb as, spiciness are more towards Szechuan style. Loving it~ noodle are not cook consistant as it is suppose to be smooth and thin while eating and it have to depends on who cook it. If cook by both the owner or the son it taste good, and if its the worker, it would be usually overcook.

Beef slices are soft and goes well with noodle. They do prepare tissue for you on the table for you to wipe your sweat off. :D, Those who could not take spicy dish, it is not adviseable to order this, or maybe you can request the owner to toned it down for you.

Another thing that its a must order in here is their Winter Melon Tea. One of the best by far that I often came here to make a take away. I personally feel that it beats any of the bubble milk tea shop out there.

One of my personal fav Taiwanese shop.

I love travelling and one of the place I travel quite often few years back was Indonesia, then did stay there for about a month too till I ask my friends to bring me around the whole city and went for food hunting. Since then, its hard to find nice Indonesian food except Ayem Penyet which is one of my favorite that I find it similar to their local taste.  IR 1968 Indochine Restaurant and Bar.

IR

Not until last week, a dinner was organise here by Lisa and Henry at Terrance Hock Choon that a newly build up area that operate not that long located at Jalan Ampang, which is a conversion of an old building to a few combination of restaurant that serve fine dining with a classic old building that provide a perfect ambiance to host a romantic dinner, corporate function or even events.

IR (2)

A few restaurant is in this place and what I have been told by my friend that the Japanese Restaurant Fukuharu serve pretty unique menu for the night, as the menu is a board with a limited choices (served fresh ingredient for the day) with chef’s special.

IR (3)

IR stands for Indonesian Restaurant which I got to know that is one of a famous restaurant that visited by many celebrities in Hong Kong and recently had branches a new outlet in Kuala Lumpur.

Through its great history that the restaurant had been founded as early as 1968 by Hudson’s grandfather operating their first outlet in Hong Kong then operate by his dad and now himself, the cuisine is serve with a hint of Chinese mix Indonesian as they are originally from Indonesia and operate in Hong Kong that the taste changes to suit local taste bud.

IR (4)

Let’s head up to the restaurant for a peek before dining.  . . It was decorated with a very romantic feel at the ground floor with pale white near transparent curtain hanging around the stair ways and candle light lit all the way up to the restaurant.

IR (5)

IR (6)

I love how the restaurant is decorated by painting black on the walls and ceiling, modern Chinese lantern is place up, filled with ashes wooden chairs and tables.

IR (7)

Lovely couples can be seated seated here, with the place is decorated perfectly with candles, laterns and dim oval, lights placed in between.

They used classic traddional china style porcelain . .  wish I can steal one back….:)

My best friend Desmond had organize a gathering for the past round. Many of us came with the same usual group that we used to hang out when I was working with my old company yet I am very happy that get to meet up with them again, miss the happy hour, the lepak time at office below and that was the past.

This round the chosen place is the newly open restaurant Ying Ker Lou at Pavilion which I their branch at The Curve is quite good.

Looking at the menu, I had a hard choice of choosing the food and the same with the rest tooas everything seems delicious and their decision is chin chai la..*faint

Some of us we do reach early as we enjoy our lovely conversation over a pot of tea which I like it very much with strong taste of tea is detected that can paint a layer over my tongue.

Finally, we had decided what to eat after looking at the people next to us and enjoying themselves.
We ordered ‘Hakka Pun Choi’ (as suddenly I forgot the english name) as this big pot can dine by 8-10 pax as there are around 8 of us as that would be the right choice.
Filled with Hakka mee, Prawns, porks, belly’s and chicken.

This was the end of the road after we could not finish it not because of its too big as its because its to ‘jelak’ already. It was not the right choice of us to go along for this dish. Most of us find it so so only yet most of us are not full too.

The best part is when comes to paying, our Chin Chai dinner cost us RM50 each for this dish and it was a total dissapointment for me to pay for such a dish. All of us learn our lesson.

When you ask any one out there, where is the best place to get Bak Kut Teh, most of the people would always say….go Klang lah…there got nice one. I have heard alot about Klang on its famous signature dish, but when always thinking of driving all the way there, I will think twice on it. Restaurant Teluk Pulai, First, I do not know the way, second I am just lazy when think of drivvvinngggg all the way there.

Never have I know that manage to try out a shop around that area that I would called it Bak Kut Teh Zone which mean not this shop, there are a few other shops too. This shop was recommended by my friends. So headed here to makan which is the second round. (moster ler them, including me as since drive all the way so far don care la..for second round)

Even though that there are parking space available but I have to park quite far to get to this shop with the amount of people flocking in yet it was quite late already.
Of course ‘Bak Kut Teh’ would be the signature dish in shop which sell no other things than this. When we were there, as I said we were quite late and alot of things in the pot is the same, I love all those piggy spare parts had left like 2-3 choices which is quite a turn off for me but never careless as the moment now, the most important now is the soup base.

I have always love Bak Kut Teh soup base have those strong a bit of herbal taste and the soup when you drink like will paint a layer on your tongue but this shop does not have the feel. Just a normal one.

None the less, I just love this ‘Chicken Feet’ as it was boil till the soup base soak into the feet and it was quite nice, soft on the skin.

I would say this would not be the best shop, as I remember I have ate once during when I was studying in college that serve bowl by bowl instead of a big pot and that was one of the best but I do not know where is it that was brought by my friends dad.
