Its a place quite nostalgia, that interior put with love yet very simple that makes it very comfortable. Dim in lights that make it a perfect place for gathering and a quite chat. Far behind on the right side, walking thru thick black theater curtain will transport you into another dimension.
In the next outlet, its a good mix of classic English yet with a hint of classic Chinese elements in it.
I am excited with their home bake cake range which is available. Some are very seasonal product yet high in demand.

I am lost with choices and the owner introduce me one of their best seller Rummy Nutty – Chocolate Rum Cake. Moist inside out, very fragrant, smooth in texture and rum is just nice where not too overpowering. A perfect piece to go with acidic coffee. Priced at RM20 I would not say its expensive as with the kind of ingredient that they are using and the size of it is pretty massive.
This is one of their best seller seasonal menu Shanghai Moon – Salted Egg Yolk Cheese Cake with Chicken Floss. Yap, you might find this combination is weird, I do find it is a clever mix of flavour with local taste. Well balance of salted egg yolk, nice hint of chicken floss which the texture of cheeze nice yet you can taste the aroma of cheese. Totally impress with the layer of taste that you can hit on.
The boss is certainly not stingy as for a whole cake, he is using 30 salted egg to make it out. Every slice would have average of 3 egg yolk. What do you think when it is price at RM 22.
The most awaited and best top seasonal seller of all known as The King is the famous durian cake. The name itself doesnt come strange with it as king is glorious. Yap, it is glorious in with its distinctive taste and smell, pack with punch and every single bite makes you continue till the end. Carefully chosen durian flesh with top of its range, yet sightly milky in the end that slowly oozing out, impressively you can taste the cheeze after this massive over powering taste and the base for chocolate brownie is still there. Currently this hidden gem is slowly growing its popularity with many local folks if you are willing to dig in deeper for your craving of a good cake in Penang, this outlet is one of the outlet that hit all the notes with its clever creation of local mix.
