Axiata Cup 2013: Up Your Game with Game Application

Badminton game is like one of a main sports in Malaysia. Many of our friends that do play this game weekly or monthly, at least I was playing once a week with the rest of my friend back in Penang. When comes to badminton competition, especially the major cup, most of you will be glued on your TV.

At the moment, Axiata Cup 2013 is running from 21st March to 14th April, especially with technology now days, all this information are just on your finger tips if you are a smartphone owner.

About Axiata Cup:

Axiata Cup is a regional badminton event, now in its second year, sponsored by the Axiata Group, one of Asia’s largest telecommunication companies. The Axiata Cup, featuring top players from around the world, is the richest badminton championship with USD1 million in prize money. The Axiata Cup will include 8 teams from ASEAN and Around the World. The championship is sanctioned by the Badminton Asian Confederation (BAC) and the Badminton World Federation (BWF), and organised by Total Sports Asia (TSA).

At the 7th Annual International Sports Event Management Awards 2012, Axiata Cup was awarded with the 1st place in the Event Marketing category as, with help of creative marketing campaigns and an innovative event format, it made its mark as a competitive addition within the sport of badminton and also helped to further promote the sport.

On the app main menu you can see all the tab and follow on the competition closely. News that updated so fast that its near like live telecast with results on the game.

I tab on background and it brings me to another main list whereby listed in country and further tab on it, it will link you to the players.

 To kill some of your time, click on their game section then you get to choose male or female.

The game is pretty straight forward as the shuttercock falling from random corner then hit it to bounce on the net, the more times you bounce on it, the more points and the colour will change, then only hit over side of the net to gain maximum points.

Along the way, when you are controlling more shutter beware of the bomb. Its an interesting game that test on your reflex, just like you are playing badminton . .:D

Be Creative with Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Samsung had done a massive campaign and the latest one is to test on your creativity. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 being introduce into the market not that long, many of my friends would want to get that as their present or wish to get. As this time, kicking off with 4 celebrity to give you a chance to test on your creativity whereby creativity is limit less. The more you are weird, the chances of winning is higher. Check it out what you are required to do.

How to kick start is rather simple, as there will be 4 person standing infront waiting to be pick. Of course you can click on all 4 person to see what are the visuals that they are providing for you. Each celebrity or selected person comes with different frame.

I pick on famous Ernest that had painted magically my hometown with all the nice drawings that now had made it prime spots of photography.

In his task, you are given a empty frame and paint your creativity away or you can chose on Preset selection on the left, with 2 version, one is loaded with a cartoonic house and mountain or a portrait. I choose to pain my own stuff although I am bad in painting.

Here is my end result with my failure in painting.. kekeke . . Right after that then just click submit as you can either submit by logging in with your Facebook, Twitter or create ID with email.

Dirty Nelly @ KL Live

I get to know KL Live as a place to hang out for events with their huge club space on second floor. As the place now had went over major renovation and currently host a few F&B outlets that is quite promising. One of the outlet is Dirty Nelly that serve nice Non-Halal Meal, that is quite well known over their Damansara branch. I guess, by opening at this place is good news for KL people or those who work nearby.

I got curious about their name and ask how did they actually come out with the name itself and here is how the story goes:

Over a hundred years ago, a middle aged farmer and his faithful pig, Dirty Nelly lived in a small village in Northern England which was engirdled and secluded, for the most part untrodden as yet by tourist or landscape painter. It was a fact known to all that Miss Nelly was the oldest in the land, even the border Reiver clans of Southern Scotland had no doubt on the subject.

One unfortunate day, the village was cursed with famine. The crops were dying and the villagers were starving. Having nothing to eat himself, the farmer stood before Dirty Nelly, and contemplated. Finally, he made up his mind to sacrifice Dirty Nelly for the sake of the people. It was a relief to the others for Dirty Nelly was so large that she fed the village for an entire week which regained the villager’s morale and uplifted their spirits.

One of my friend favorite song The Cranberries and often sing in Karaoke, such a high and harsh pitch yet she can still sings so well.

Samsung Galaxy S 2

Galaxy S2 had been my first smart phone and had change my lifestyle in a few ways, with the love of its big screen that often convinients me to spend sometime on checking out on internet, images and other software, doesn’t mean that I am old that I need bigger screen. Just that I love its size of it.

Well, one of the good reason of this phone is that, it can manage all my social media under one area, which is under their Social Hub with just by opening one window, and a few touch away. ..  I am just connected via my email, twitter and facebook. So far I am happy over it as it makes it very convenient and easy control all under one roof ..

Function that I use the most in my phone is the 8mp Camera with Led Flash, that by far I am one of the most happy user because of this phone. Just that at times my job requires me to take some picture at certain area of the building, and often lazy walk back to take the camera out, then I just slid out my little slim phone on the camera and snap on it. As the most important is I can snap all the eat and I can share it to all my friends in Facebook via Uploading.

This is what I usually do for being evil by posting ramdom pics always at the wrong time then got curse after that . . . .

 And to the event i Go. . .

 and some landscape shots I shoot during at night .. .

To make your phone even more cool, they have the live theme/wall paper that certainly make your phone more stand out than then others. . .

By far for being the first time owning a Smart Phone, I am really pleased with my unit . . .

Ting Ting. . . .Durian Buffett Round 2! @ SS2

Just bout 10 days ago, I went to this stall to have durian buffet with my colleague and since then I updated a picture on Twitter and FB, I was scolded and curse by my friend for why tempt them with such King of Fruit in season which makes them drool just by that picture(click here for part 1). Then during that time I was told by a guy that since last weekend they will have more better quality durians from Pahang as previously it was mostly from the southern part, like Johor. . .Since then I did told some of my friend then they directly ask me to do secound round of buffet and last night, I had organise one again and consider it Durian buffet get together part 2~ or SS2 durian buffet

This round I decided to go more premium as last round I just thought that the max was only RM15 and last night get to discover that RM20 you eat more premium quality durian such as Udang Merah and others that those durians can cost RM12-RM15 per kg easily . . without much hesitation direct jump to that. . . and ask them start opening the durians. .RM 20 durian buffet for this round . ..

PRICE:
RM 9 normal durians – guess its durian Kampung??
RM 15 better grades durians..
RM 20 premium grades durians. . (we have this for this round)

I must say that durian on this round taste much better compare to what I had but according to Jolyn n Lyn when they came by as they dine the RM15 they find it much better as to me I find this is much better compare to last round . . I guess seasonal durian makes different taste in each batch. .

Last night, I had most of the durian better quality in its meat more solid, a bit milky, not too sweet yet you can eat alot bitter ones, there are mixture of yellowish and fair mild creamy colour  . .  not so watery base meat . .

Feeq is another hardcore durian fans as when the durian was open and right infrot of him or I would say right after this photoshoot he just whack the durians like no tomorrow and so fast. . .ko’ed after 20 minutes later. .

*remarks – durians are not meant to eat fast as you eat too fast its hard to digest and feel abit bloated.

Verdict: did itu Jolyn Cheah manage to fill up the whole basket ? well, actually she did, not her, is we.. for a pax of 8 ppl we filled 1 basket n another quater of it . .as shown in the pics are 2nd basket arleady . .:D

This is Jolyn Cheah with her very happy durian in her mouth, that she is a very simple person to cheer, when she is sad just buy her durians, she will go hyper and make you happy. .wakkakaka~ :p

Might have ROUND 3 coming up.. just don know when..of course wont be this 2 weeks, as I had too much durians in a row . .need to take a break . .

Results: we are satisfied with it . .no complain and looking forward to come again . .
