I hate both of my good friend. It was a call early in the morning at my work place. Hey, where are you? We are dropping by with a surprise gift for you? So quickly head to Ground floor to greet them. It was the most awkward moment when usually see each other we will hug each other, and the hug is definitely very weird. Then they ask me, do not peak, just walk to that direction.

Then boom, this guy just walked out very cool and smart, introducing himself,”Hi, I am Bond. Nice to meet you.” and handed me the limited edition Belvedere 007 bottle. I was like serious?

However Belvedere Vodka was the first to create a new standard for excellence in the vodka category and is credited with creating the luxury vodka segment. Famous for his discernment in all things, James Bond is at his most assured when ordering and appreciating drinks. So insistent was Bond that his Belvedere vodka martini was to be “shaken not stirred” that the phrase itself entered the lexicon, and in 2005 was selected as one of the 100 famous lines in film. Since then the Belvedere vodka martini has been a  continual reassuring presence in the Bond film series, but it shot to the forefront once again with Daniel Craig in Casino Royale.

Of course, with its little gimmic, it is the week of Bond fever week as their latest movie SPECTRE is releasing out this Thursday.

Belvedere had always been one of my favourite vodka alcohol for any occasion.

Drink with a simple mixer or a cool mixologist to come out with a cook cocktail is definitely a bomb.

Oh well,

MARTINI SERVED SHAKEN, OR SHOULD IT BE STIRRED? The purists would argue for stirring; it chills the molecules in the vodka without bruising them and altering their original taste. With Belvedere, the dry vanilla notes are more accentuated. Bond would argue that a vodka martini that isn’t shaken is no martini at all. Certainly there is an energy and aeration in the shaken drink that provides a cleaner colder taste. Shaken or stirred, the choice is yours.

It has been quite a while since I last step into Pavilion and I have read a few blog post that new restaurant opened on the 6th floor which looks pretty cool with its concept. Then few days ago, whereby, I came down to meet up my friend which had been quite long time since I last met her. Then I suggested this place Market Hall and she said not a bad place.

[UPdated Jan 2012: No longer in operations]

market hall (1)

I like their restaurant concept, which is similar to one of my favorite seafood restaurant when I was in Melbourne in Crown Casino.

market hall (2)

Right at the entrance they do sell other items more on Italian range and also some bottle drinks ..

market hall (3)

I like their concept with its simple contemporary rustic style, that place wooden tables and chairs, using chalkboard on the wall to draw what is the specials of the day.

market hall (4)

market hall (5)

market hall (6)

A very huge open concept kitchen and you will be amaze to see how many chefs and assistant are in there.

market hall (7)

Their pasta are made fresh daily or would say, when we place order then only they will prepare it ..

market hall (8)

Not only that, you get to choose the seafood too . .

market hall (9)

in the chiller, the desert looks tempting too . .

market hall (10)

market hall (11)

In the menu, they do offer more on the Italian side, with Risotto, pasta, pizza and others. . .

market hall (12)

Then comes by this complementary bread stick with salsa sauce I guess and its nice, soft loaf that prepare fresh and warm then dip with the salsa sauce is just perfect. Eat it while its warm.

market hall (13)

Then in the menu found this dish to be very unique ‘Tagliatelle – Fresh Salmon tossed in Vodka, citrus zest, and mascarpone cream sauce @ RM 32.90. For the price of this and the amount of small chunks of salmon in there is very generous, which I can say that every bite will filled with salmon. I love the taste of it , which is a bit sourish of the olive, and the sauce just coat on the tagliatelle which is fresh made. I love it .. – Recommended~

market hall (14)

Now days, I am hook with anything that state with blue cheeze ..  although not many people can accept the taste but if it is done well, the taste is super nice. Then I try out Market Burger Spicy Mayo, caramelise Onion, Bleu Cheeze @ RM 22.90

When it was served, my friend she kept laughing cuz it looks like baby’s diapers been wrap up and ready to throw away . .I was like ‘Oi..that’s my food ler’ . . . .

market hall (15)

I love this burger how it was done compare to other restaurant by using fluffy buns, and this the made it more like focassia bread that been toast on both side till the top is crisp’s and the butter just soak into the bun welly. The beef patty is home made by judging its compact meat and was cook medium well to my liking. The juicy sauce combines well with the taste with the burger doesnt make it too dry and the bleu cheeze was stuff in the middle of the burger that very mild in taste and make the aroma stood up and combines well. I enjoy this burger very much . .- Recommended~

market hall (16)

Then only I realise that the side entrance I used to see alot people queing up on weekend is a bar behind the restaurant which is called the Bedroom, more on foreign style too which I rate a bit of opera decor on the ceiling with comfy leather sofa and huge dance space.. I will sure come and check it out one weekend. .

I am quite satisfied with the food quality that they served in Market Hall and the service is not bad too, or I guess it was just weekdays whereby only a few dining tables were occupied. Anyway, I will return to try out their desert as I was full on that night. If you are looking for nice ambiance to hang out with friends, its a Recommended place by me ..

Genre: Comedy/ Drama/ Romance

During the first movie was out, I did not realise it was a good movie till most of my friend told me its good and I also rejected my best friend to watch this movie, till I told her I am going to watch it few weeks later, she is not happy. . . First part of the movie turns out to be good and I watch it twice that I find Mr.Big so damm yeng for his age(wish I am like that when I am around his age) 🙂

This movie is a pretty long movie about 2 n half hours, this time they did not talk much about fashion instead talk alot about relationships, and the best part is they showcase Abu Dhabi till so yeng and very modern. I love the world they called it the new Middle East.

Overall, I still find part 1 better than 2 but no complain that its an invitation from Skyy Vodka that I attend previously that got this exclusive invites, that had a cocktail party before it start.
