One of the place that I recently visit certainly make it a hidden gem around the area. It was a surprise to me that, in that area actually hid one nice restaurant, although I went to KLPAC for some local stage show a few times. Neither did I know there is actually that exist here. KLPAC is actually like a new dimension as you enter the guard house with tress flanking on both side that will lead you to a abandon house smack right in the middle on the narrow road. Just follow the flow you will reach to another end of the park is Samira by Asian Terrace.

Being a Penang person, I have never really know that Penang actually do offer a lot of great food as I have written and known more of KL food rather than Penang not until recently CK introduce us this classic and wonderful place which is hidden in this very Tan Jetty.

I have always thought that this kind of place would be the residence area and also famous for wedding photography but just greatly discover that hidden a home cook Thai authentic flavour.

Thai Good

Thai Good (2)

You need to walk through this very small wooden bridge that used by the residence on bicycle, motorbike or on foot to reach their home.

Thai Good (3)

You just have to keep walking till the very last house of this stretch of the house.

Thai Good (4)

Its low tide when we reach there, and can you just imagine the heat and no sea wind during that time, can just melt.

Thai Good (6)

Till you reach this fence wooden house and my brother is introducing you the very authentic home cook thai food is discovered.

Not only about the food, is about the environment, as you are seated above the wooden house that build on the sea yet you get to enjoy your meal by overlooking the sea and smell the salty sea water and if its windy, would be even lagi perfect.

Thai Good (7)

This is all the houses in this area are build up.

Very next to the restaurant there is a Mini Temple yet hidden this very ‘Loh Bak’ stall that is quite famous with its local residence and the boss said that, they do cater for events too but only supplying loh bak. The loh bak is also one of the best as it was introduce by my friend few years ago during tea time.

The loh bak is filled with mince meat and spices added in to bring up the aroma of the meat yet it was fried in high temperature to get the crispiness of the skin and preserve the soft meat in it, with their very own chili sauce is just irresistible. Besides that, I love their ‘Cucuk Udang’ too, as it was fried crispy on the edge with flour and prawn is soft inside after fried on it. One word, good~ It was finish within seconds. RM1 for loh bak and RM 0.70 for ‘cucuk udang’ (if not mistaken)

Thai Good (14)

After chatting and laughing, we kick start our meal with ‘Fish Cake’ RM1.20 per piece. Looks simple but very solid on ingredient and dip with the thai chili sauce is just perfect~

Thai Good (15)

To open up our appetite, ‘Kerabu Mango’ is one of the choice must not miss for thai food. With the fine cut of cucumber, mango, carrot and top with bbq cuttlefish and added on with the dressing is will just make your taste bud sensitive with the well balance of sweet, sour, sweet and spicy.

Thai Good (16)

‘Thai Holy Basil Rice’ is next on the hit list. Something which is out of my expectation that something simple that had been cook so flavorful, basil leave did not overpower the chicken yet the chili padi added on make the spiciness level there but the catch is, do not underestimate it, as the first few bite it taste very good and upcoming bite the spiciness just shoot up and make us take a lot of water from the fridge. RM 4

Thai Good (17)

‘Deep fried fish’ fried with curry and curry leaves till dry and the curry taste stick on the crispy fish yet when eat it, its very flavorful. . Just cant stop eating.

Thai Good (18)

‘Belacan Fried Rice’ that top with sour mango slices, fried omelet, chili padi and balacan fragrance of the rice is detected. Another way to eat it, you can mix everything and eat it, will just make your sweat come out instantly. RM4

Thai Good (19)

‘Spicy Petai Chicken’ as I am not a big fan of petai but it was fried till the level I enjoy eating it. Dry curry sambal stir fried with big fresh prawns is just so good to eat it with a bowl of white rice.

Thai Good (20)

‘Tom Yam Fried Rice’ nothing special about it, as I have had better ones before. RM4

Thai Good (21)

I just love the taste of ‘Clear Seafood Tom Yam Soup’ as this is how the authentic flavor need to be, sourish and spicy with combination of the seafood ingredient just makes us want to have more than a bowl. From RM6

Thai Good (22)

Thai Good (23)

‘Pad Thai’ is abit sweet and moist as I prefer mine to be spicy and dry.

Thai Good (24)

‘Fried Kang Kung’ is not bad, and to go along with beer is just the right choice.

If you are looking for cheap and authentic Thai food, surely this is the place that I am highly recommending if you can withstand the heat and the spiciness.
