Aren’t that when we are in shopping mall, we are spoilt for choices when comes to food, but then if when we are picky, it is not much that we can look at, its either we have to dig deeper into our wallet to get a really good meal or just close one eye and dine any where. Brozeit German Bier Bar

Then as my birthday coming up and I suddenly thought of Brozeits that Jac and Eric mention to me that in Mid Valley have quite a nice German restaurant, Brozeits and dinner will be there.. So I have asked everything I can on what to order in the restaurant. It just just a stroll to the very end of Chili Restaurant that direction which the restaurant is next to Maybank.. . .

On that night it was quite packed with people and the place look pretty comfy eh~

Normally with a classic German restaurant, most of their place will be decorated with a bit of wooden style like wall or floors or bar.. . . to blend the ambiance of German style

this drawings on the wall is really really interesting with the plan of how the process goes. While reading at the menu, only I get to know that how Brozeit comes from. . . ‘Brot’ being German for bread and ‘Zeit’ for time – referring to a small meal or snack accompanied by beer.

By looking at the menu, we were really lost for a moment both with the wordings and also the price. Certainly it is not cheap to dine here. For German food it is always for their German Beer, sausages and pork!

One of the highly recommended beer which for the very first time I taste it is ‘Mango Affensaft’ around RM 38, it is by far one of the most expensive beer that I have come accross, and if you are looking for something a bit different in taste, this is the one that you are looking foor, mild german beer which is very smooth that start a bitter taste in our tongue then follow by aromatic mango and a bit of sweetness at the end which is just perfect!

If you are a pork lover and seriously, this is a MUST ORDER – Schweinnemedallions/Pork Medallions Grilled Pork Fillet Medallions wrapped in Smoked Bacon served with fries and sautee vegetable. . .RM 44, the pork meat is so soft and the pork bacon that wraps around it taste so good! The fries is just like the one I like from Carls Junior… dip with chili sauce just makes me stop eating. . .

Wursteplatte – Sausage Platter RM 78 that consist of :

spicy chicken sausages, pork bratwurst, mini pork cheese sausages, weisswurst  sausage, garlic sausage + sauerkraut

Next recommendation is Broizeitflade Speck/ Spicy Bacon Pizza – thin crust fladenbrot with roasted bacon, onions, vine ripened. If you are talking about German Pizza, this is by far one of the best that I come accross, thin cripsy filled with thick layer of cheeze and aromatic bacon taste is so good, even my brother cant stop eating this!

German food would never be perfect if you didnt go for Pork Knuckkle RM 85 which is a super huge rack and that waiter told me that 1 portion is enough to feed for 3 pax and I ordered 2, which is totally very SALAH cuz a table of 7 with this 2 super huge knucckle with a few other dish is just too much!

Trust me, you would not want to miss this super crispy skin with layer of fats and the pork meat at the rock bottom is so soft. . . dip it with the gravy will just makes you continue eating.. . . ..

Lastly of course, we are too full till we wanted to faint because of the hugeeee knuckle and with this cake, we have very little space to eat it. Thanks to all my friends who had celebrated with me and this year I celebrated my birthday the most happening and Happy. . .

If you do come to this restaurant for dininig… my recommendation would be the Mango Beer, Pork Bacon, Bacon Pizza and the pork knuckle and if you do not mind to get a knock in your wallet!

With my company client around, and they have requested that they wanted to dine Lebanese food, and just thought of Al-Amar as I always walk pass a lot of times and just wonder how the food taste like. So got this opportunity to try out.

When you walk past the first section, its a very cosy area to dine in.

I just like their interior design, very well decorated with some middle east item on the wall.

With the middle east wordings on in and the best part is in the menu I don even like understand what it writes and the only thing I understand is lamb, beef, and some simple words.
My order was ‘Ice Tea’, RM 10 which I feel is very light in taste. Add in some sugar syrup it just taste weird.
‘Soup of the Day’ taste of the soup is more like veggie soup. Guess I don know how to enjoy this. RM14

I cannot remember what is this called in the middle east terms but you eat this with the fluffy bread that they provide is nice. Goes along very well.
‘Hot Bread’ Middle east style which is FOC and you can eat as many as you want.
I do not really like ‘Lamb Sausages’, it was cook inconsistent. There is one piece taste very nice rich with lamb aroma and mint taste yet juicy, the rest some is dry, some tasteless, just that I have taste better 1 before. RM22 ‘French Fries’ is their favourite. Nothing special to comment on. RM10

‘Lamb Kabsa’ is Steamed Marinated Lamb Meat served with tomato rice which cost at RM44. To what I feel is the meat is soft and tender yet juicy with some tomato puree that pour upon but it is quite plain. I find it nothing fancy.

What I feel for is that the ‘Mixed Grill’ which cost RM58 per plate is pretty expensive that filles with Tawouk, Beef fillet, and Katta skewers. All those skewers are a bit dry, eat it with bread is even dryer, even though the client said is good but I find it is bad with price they charge and the amount they served is so little.

For me, I still find that AL Diafah at Sri Petaling is nicer. The bill comes with no gov tax but add in service charge 10%
