Imbi Palace Restaurant would be gone forever. This is why, after some thought we decided to change our company name to the Imbi Palace Group.” said Mr. Lum during his speech.

When Looking for Lebanese Cuisine, Al-Amar is one of the names that often pop out of my head or when friends ask for good recommendation as this outlet never fails to impress on their food, (click here for previous review Al-Amar Express) & Al-Amar Pavilion (click here)

Sometimes right after work, we are just too lazy to be stuck in the jam for hour to head back home and what do most of us do that work inside the city itself. Either, we will go for a dinner and drinks or catch a movie.

al amar (1)

For this round we are heading there to chill out with the rest of our friends as now Al-Amar Express is doing promotion for happy hours.

al amar (2)

Its great to see all of them are here that it had been a while since last seen every one all under one roof. After a tiring day at work and this place certainly a great place to meet up with many shopping malls nearby and parking is certainly convenient as most of the car park offer flat rate already which we need not to worry and calculate how many hours x the rates going to be charged.

al amar (3)

Simple food is offer in this outlet with  Lebanese wraps, healthy sandwiches, chawarmas, salads and Manakeesh (Lebanese pizzas) are all good! Prices start from RM8 – RM25 per dish, besides that  Al-Amar also provide attractive lunch combos & dinner at affordable price ranging from RM19 – RM25!

al amar (4)

al amar (5)

al amar (6)

and as for the night, we  are onto their cocktails which alcohol is not too strong and pair perfectly with the taste as I like, yet some said its too mild. Well, some like it strong I suggest you ask for more POWER shotz! Mojito for the night to kick start with  . .

al amar (7)

What’s the special on their happy hours is  . .Buy 2 chilled bottles of beers and you will get another for FREE from 4pm – 8pm everyday!

al amar (8)

That’s how we get it going and flowing with da booze~

al amar (9)

This picture is funny as every one is looking every where with at least 5-6 cameras were taking at that time

al amar (10)

Last but not least, all of us had a great time to catch up as its hard to get every one at the same time. Do try their ARAK.. Very kick to end up your night! Its a love hate relationship drink. Either you love it or you hate it!

For hardcore party people, this news would be great for you if you find that those club that close at 3am is too early as Al-Amar Express would be another option to continue your party or after party hang out spot as they open until 5am every Friday and Saturday night

Back in college days, there is one little place that we used to hang out when craving for desert, before they move to a proper building which is this Crepe Cottage that located along side in Gurney Drive, well,  the current landmark to look for is this little shop is located next to Coffee Island or Overtime at Gurney Drive.

Crepe (1)

This humble little shop have very limited in place is run by a family and they have been operating for more than 10 years if I am not mistaken. Their shop is very limited in space, therefore always you have to wait as their service is pretty slow. On average for serving is about 20minutes and waiting time can stretch till 1 hour. So if you do not have patient then you can forget about this place.

Crepe (3)

There are quite alot of choices of Crepes to choose from in the menu with front and back . . .

Crepe (4)

Besides that, they do sell fusion food ranging from western, Italian and some locals cuisine.

Crepe (5)

Nutela @ RM 11

Crepe (6)

So we ordered 2 different crepes starting off with this one in wraps style. Wrap with banana slices, top with whipped cream, shower with chocolate rice on top and chocolate syrup and a scoop of Choco ice cream turns out to be the winner compare to another one, as banana is so fresh n soft, love the strong taste of it and pairs very well with nutela chocolate. The wrap is very aromatic and just eat along with full combination is savory.

Crepe (8)

 Sunburst @ RM 10

Is another version of pancake desert is more like so round slice like MacD breakfast pancake but of course its much better than MacD alot of times. This comes with slices of mango, peanut and top with Mango Ice cream. We just love the base of the pancake . Still think Nutella is better.

Well, not many places offer very nice pancake desert and this is certainly one of the places to look for, prices might be a bit expensive as I still think worth spending for once a while .. for their food I have not try before yet. One of the recommended place by me if you are craving for crepes in Penang.

If you do find other better places please do let me know, I love to go find out on it .. 😉

Whenever I come to KLCC and if it comes to food, I will miss this two. Just do not know why and this two are my all time favorite in KLCC food court area. First would be the Kyros Kebab as this would be their best stall in their chain.

Kebab (5)

Kebab (4)
The ordering process would be similar like Subway just that you can let them know which are the vegetable ingredient that you want or do not want.

Kebab

My all time favorite ordering would be ‘Combo Kebab add Mushroom (Lamb and Chicken)’ around RM11.

Kebab (2)

Then they will prepare the wraps and add in the vegetable and I have always ask them to add in more onions for me too (foc).

Kebab (3)

The meat is prepare and cut fresh from the pit area.

Kebab (6)

Tadaaa…this would be my lovely dinner as I love the taste of it, its not dry yet very juicy from the sauce of mayonise, a bit of thousand island sauce and their special sauce yet the meat of lamb is filled with the taste and chicken combines well too.

****************

My meal would not be complete with my all time favorite drink, Boost Juice with its origin from Aus and it was one of my diet drink when I was studying, only had this for lunch or sometimes dinner and finally this brand had landed in KLCC few months back.

In the market I felt that this is one of the best with its ingredient that they are using.

Boost

Boost (2)

Boost (3)

My favorite drink of the area is ‘Mango Magic’ RM12.50 large. The mango that blend with some banana is flavorful yet not sweet and just love the taste of it.
