Best Authentic HALAL Dae Ga Korean BBQ at The Curve, PJ

when I saw the Google review and decided to give it a try. True to be told that with ratings of 4.8 / 5 certainly do live up the ratings. Indeed is one of the Best Authentic HALAL Dae Ga Korean BBQ at The Curve, PJ which I would certainly recommend to many

Stepping into the shop I am skeptical as I do not smell any usual Korean bbq smoky smell. Only then as the person who serve us that they actually use a strong suction from table, which is not your typical Korean bbq that hands from ceiling to bottom.

Dae Ga Korean BBQ menu seems pretty wide as quite number of pages for you to flip. Ingredients here are purchase from Halal Supplier.
You will receive a set of ban chan that is unlimited refill. The waiter, Mona shared to us that this is their 1 day old fermented kimchi. This certainly is one of my favourite kimchi now. Marinate to my liking, only hint of sourish and spicy with fresh crispy bite of napa cabbage. We had 3 plates each ourselves.

We ordered with a few signature meat.
They use special charcoal for their stove and the suction of it you can see the fire are moving towards it. This is the first Korean BBQ restaurant that I dine and come out without super strong Korean bbq pit smell.
eating Korean bbq, the sauce is very important. by classic habits, if you want to eat like how Koreans do, ask for salt. All bbq meat just dip a tiny bit of salt to get the best flavours of meat. Like Japanese Sushi, a tiny bit of wasabi and soy sauce. If you are really hungry, then you can start off with Jabchae (Stir-fried Korean Glass Noodle).  One of a classic dish that will never fails you. A nice seasoning of sesame oil,  simple stir fry that the noodle is not sticking top with nicely fresh cut egg on the top is a nice satisfying bite. The flavours is harmonious which is not overpowering each. Nice light chewy bite on the glass noodle.Signature Yang Nyeom Galbi (Marinated Short RIb) @ RM 158 is the meat that we are aiming for. Look at the nice colour of beef with its clear soy marination. The smell of the soy  is fragrant that trails out nicely. Each of the server takes care of 2-4 tables depending on the capacity of the diners. This is Mona as I find that her grilling is outstanding. All my beef are grill to near perfection upon my request.

Marinated Short RIb is marinated nicely. the soy just soaks into the meat. A nice light grill on the charcoal pit with careful fire, brings out a nice light brown colour grill meat, which is juicy, soy aromatic, flavourful meat. Woo Sam Gyeop (Beef Short Plate)  @ RM 58 have to be handle quick, as this is quite a thin cut, it will burns easily if not paying attention. Just a light grill on the top like 1-2 minutes each side, then you are ready to dig in.

In my Korean bbq, I must always have Jukkumi Gui (Spicy Grilled Baby Octopus). After I visited Korea 16 years ago, this have been my habit, especially either with Soju or Soju Bomb. Love the marination here, as it have nice layer of sweetness, very light sour, yet spicy is only at the end with nice hint of charred burnt green chilli.. Octopus grill nicely which is not even overcook.

This is a simple meat that hits straight right to your taste bud. Herb Salt Yang Gogi Gui (Lamb Rack). @ RM 78 (3 pcs) Gives you a nice light hint of berbs that the meat i request is medium or medium well, that is cook to perfection. Meat is soft and juicy, best for you to eat it by holding the bones.

Best way to eat this is with all side dishes (ban chan) top a little spot in the veggie, then take 1 big bite. Each ingredient gives you slight differences in flavour. Worth to stuff it in!LA Galbi (Lateral cut Marinated Beef Shrot Rib) @ RM 68

Do not look down on this portion, as actually Bulgogi Nakji Jeon Gol (Marinated Beef Brisket & Octopus Stew is quite a big pot. topped with fresh ingredients and best of all, one of the best soup as this cooking style is more towards Busan. Busan has lighter food notes compare to those in Seoul.

The soup is so good that the first few sips upon boils gives you flat and hint of soup sweetness. As the soup cook into 10-15 minutes later, the soup taste is so UMAMI!. It is light yet pack with the fresh seafood ingredients flavour., sweetness comes from taste of the shell,  seafood meat. When you order this, you do need a pool of 3-4 pax as the portion is quite big. Generous with ingredients too. Sparkling Ade (Jug)Before we left, we saw Korean BBQ Ramadan buffet 2024 and was like blown us away. Starting from 12th march – 8th April, eat all you can buffet at RM 98++ which I think its a super good value, that gives you not your usual ordinary Malay food.
