Doma @ Mont Kiara

Many of the cafe’s in Klang Valley are inspired by Australia. Well, Doma Modern Korea Cafe is one of them too. Serving modern Korean Cuisine as Doma’s chef Terry Song comes to Malaysia from Australia, and their co-founder Carl Lee is from South Korean. This place is not your typical Korean restaurant.

This cafe is quite hidden from the eyes of main road even though you pass here nearly every day. Sits at level one of Mont Kiara Shoplex which is a little building that has Baskin Robbin.

The interior do feel like a mini art dining space, simplicity and minimalist.

You will love their Soju range that they are offering. There are alot of brands that I have rarely seen. A great place to try some of it and the price is very reasonable.

For that day, we decided to try Sansachun Rice Wine @ RM 42.  Simply fragrant, easy to drink and mild flowery note.

Kim Chi Fried Rice @ RM 20 is filled with Bacon, Parameson and spring onion. Fried to perfection as I love the pan fried wok hei and with parameson do enhance the taste a little unique.

Love the KimChi Soup here as the taste is stronger. Slightly sourish spicy to my liking. @ RM 20

Pork Belly Sliders @ RM 19 – soy mayo, Scallion, red cabbage. This is like our Chinese version dish as the have a little twist in it by adding different veggie and dressing. Love the Pork Belly that is done to perfection where the skin is crispy and belly is evenly sitting between the lean meat. Thumbs up where the sauces enhance it!

They were one of the early trend setters as I have tried this 4 months ago in this outlet. ‘Bul Dak’ Hot Spicy Cheese Chicken @ RM 29. Serveing in a sizzling hot plate  that is filled with a sea of cheese, onions and special sauces from chef along with chicken is something you will not stop digging in with your rice wine at the side. Gives you a perfect combination of flavours. Bul Dak is rich in taste and chicken is soft and juicy.

As for dessert, we hit on their signature Green Tea Bingsu. Different type of texture as it is filled with those snowy soft melt into your mouth texture and love their strong green tea taste that yet can balance it off with their ice milk base. Great stuff.

Definitely one of a place that I would recommend as I had visited three times over the past few months. Do not miss their Fried Chicken.
