Black Thorn at Durian King @ TTDI

Woot Woot, durian season just started and of course price is quite expensive at the moment. However if you are cravings for this king of fruits – durian – Durian King located behind Berjaya Times Square can give you some satisfaction at the moment.

Many stalls declare that they sell Durian of the year 2012 – Black Thorn that have escalated the price of durian per kg to RM 40-RM 50. With this breed, many customer fears that they might be taken a ride on the durian seller as durian King is one of the limited provider that sells this breed, that is available in both of their branch in Bukit Bintang and also TTDI.

Texture of Musang king as above is very different from Black Thorn.

Musang King – there are a few grads of Musang King and ours was Grade A for the night. Texture looks pretty solid yet it is fragrant, give you more sweet with slight bitter end.

Black Thorn  – dark cream orange colour of flesh, with its slightly hard texture on the outer layer that give you the smooth creamy, sweet and thick in flesh.

Their current Durian cendol is on DIY and there might be hit and misses. Do give it a try if you wish to have something different.
