Famous Kavitha Banana Leaf Rice, PJ Old Town

I recently was introduce to this Famous Kavitha Banana Leaf Rice,  Taman Selera, Pjs 4, PJ Old Town. Once of a classic store that serves affordable banana leaf rice that constantly flocks with people during lunchtime. It is easily more than 45 years and currently is helm by second generation.

Upon Seated down, let the guy there know you want banana leaf rice, then you will be serve with a piece of banana leaf, mountain of rice if you are able to eat, 4 types of veggie sides, and 2 types of condiments. All of those are free refill.

I order some sides, where the Fried chicken is a must order as it is fried fresh upon order.

 

Then I went to took another side plate for mix rice. Choosing a few variety, mutton, chicken varuval, potato. 

Flavours here are actually pretty spot on. Simple and on point with simple flavour to strong flavours. Mutton is cook to perfection on that day in smaller cubes for easy to bite with its fragrant spices curries.

I had 5 drinks in total, and totally enjoy each of the cup.

1. Badam Milk – recommended
2. Masala Tea – recommended
3. Salted Mint lassi – so so
4. Teh tarik is good
5. Kavitha Pull Coffee – too sweet for me.

 
 My total bill came to RM 50 for 5 drinks, 1 banana leaf rice, 1 fried chicken,  mutton,  and 2 veggies. I find it pretty decently price. Will certainly come back again.
