Famous Penang Curry Mee @ Restoran OKAY, SS2 (Chow Yang)

I have been hunting this stall for quite a while, as this will be my third attempt to get it successful. This Famous Penang Curry Mee operating at Restaurant Okay in SS2, is operating on a limited time frame only from both recommendations from Vkeong and KY. Starting business at 7am and expect sold out around 9am.

My first attempt was 10.30am. The stall was neatly clean up and thought it was not open. Second attempt was at 9.30am and it was sold out at 9am. Third attempt was at 8.30am and the lucky last 10 bowl.

This brother say, please do not post anymore as they are lack of man power and is as busy as hell. Well, he and his partner are both from Penang. So you can expect a good nice quality of Penang Curry Mee in this stall.

Some of my friend ask me, what is the different. First, of course the soup base, second – pork blood is a must, third filled with some cuttle fish. Fourth that make each of the curry mee stall outstanding is their own secret recipe of Chili paste.

For this stall, the soup base is cocount sweet, not too creamy or milky which is just nice.

This is how I like my bowl of curry mee in fiery spicy look. However this is not as spicy as what you thought as the colour is an illusion whereby it brings up the fragrant of the soup as the chili paste is filled with some of the family secret recipe with some little herbs, chili and others.

Indeed a very satisfied breakfast to be able to get a decent bowl of Penang Curry Mee. Highly recommended! Price is now at RM 7 for small and RM 8 for big. Do go for big.
