Haven Harbour Cafe @ Chime Heritage, Penang

Penang is a small little island that is no doubt being the food heaven of Malaysia. It was until recently, cafe hype had been sproutling all over Malaysia and at first, the first zone that got hit in Penang is The heritage area in Banking Zone of Penang.

Now the hype have move to this new area known as Chime Heritage or Nagore Place which is located behind Penang Plaza. Over here now you can do cafe hopping easily with at least 5-8 handfull around this area and the latest I have tried is this Haven Harbour which is one of the latest addition to the area.

I love the ambiance of this outlet, as its rather simple with huge bar counter and narrow walk way with bar seating capacity at the side wall.

As I read a few reviews in Foursquare, there are actually mix reviews about this outlet as I think they are still rather new and decided to give it ago after my brunch from another cafe a few doors away.

This outlet it seems is more well known for their desserts/cakes range.

There are alot of paintings on the walls and those who love to camwhore, selfies, I guess this would be another great place for you to do so.

Upstair seating is slightly different compare to downstairs are its more comfy, homey, casual and love their wall design. They have a few soft toys for you to hug and play with, and it seems a very friendly family place to be.

As I see the waiter serve out the spaghetti, it does looks good and decided to try out their Spicy Aglio Alio @ RM 19.90. It turns out to be good which is out from our expectation from the review in Foursquare. Its cook to perfection, flavour is pungent yet simple with garlic taste and I would say its recommended.

Down to their own outlet signature is this Haven Harbour Chocolate Assiette @ RM 16.90. Serve with a scoop of chocolate ball ice cream and a chocolate lava cake with marshmallow.

Out from my disappointment that in my thought chocolate lava the chocolate filling should ooze out and I find it is slightly over baked. Nevertheless, its still a bomb, as the chocolate cake is moist, chocolate filling is perfect and eat it with ice cream is perfect. Still will be one of my recommended item and hope they improve along the way.

If you come to this area, you will never miss this shop as they have mural painting on it.

I find that, if you are looking some simple food, cuppa and dessert, this shop do serve everything and the taste is not that bad. Their coffee still need to be improve as I believe the barista is still new and their coffee is more towards acidic side. They only have a very simple menu at the moment.
