Hayaki @ Uptown Damansara

I have pass this outlet alot of times and never thought that will step food in here. The impression I got is they are like another Old Town White Coffee. It was pack at Village park and the queue was quite long and we decided to try out this place. Then only found out that Hayaki at Uptown Damansara actually serve authentic Kelantanese food.

Menu was pretty straight forward as the first 2 page is their signature and some western and noodle as compliment dishes.

Toast and eggs are in the menu too.

Their Signature dish. Nasi Kerabu Ayam Percik @ RM 13.90 (as you get to chose other variety style of Chicken) is pretty spot on. Was told by the server that they actually use original blue pea flower, not food colouring to make it out. The plant is also planted back all the way in Kelantan.

Ayam percik is marinated and grill to perfection. Still moist and juicy inside out and the best way to eat this is by mixing all the ingredient in the plate then with a spoonfull of gravy along. Love the curry too as you can taste a special mix of herbs are in there, that brings out the curry flavour yet not overpowering.

I consider this as their second signature dish cuz my eyes already focus on Nasi Kerabu. Nasi Kukus Hayaki Ayam @ RM 9.90 is indeed a great bargain. A simple dish that give me the satisfactory of curry flavours. A mixture of their own special curries to blend it up this aromatic profile. Chicken is not too bad as it is cripsy and with the saltiness that I like.

Nasi Dagang Ikan Tongkol @ RM 9.90. Nasi dagang is quite nice as it is quite near to the one I had in Kelantan many years back.

for this dish which is quite similiar to my take away food nearby my office, this is Nasi Lauk Hayaki @ RM 8.20 that serve along with 5 pcs of juicy chicken breast. Curry in here is slightly milder or near towards vegetarian taste. Sambal at the side is to give you a little knock of spiciness.

For the price, I think it is quite worth it and if you are here, then you should not miss out order their Nasi Kerabu and Nasi Kukus . Those that work around this area, they do have set lunch from RM 9.90 that serve with Ice Tea.
