Mad About Coco @ Publika

Sometimes friends do ask me this question? Are you really a guy? Cause I love desserts and for a guy to have such sweet tooth they find it quite rare or extreme. Anyway, I saw some blog post about this new chocolate place in Publika known as Mad About Coco and decided to check it out since those pictures were pretty tempting. This outlet sure resembles me of one of my favorite chocolate place in Australia.

 This outlet is located directly opposite Chawan and its hard for you to miss it.

Mad about Coco Barista & Chocolatier is one of a place that attract quite alot of young people into the outlet because its a chocolate place.

The outlet is carefully decorated with old slight 70’s style with checkers flooring and some old element with modern twist.

 Place your order and pay at the counter and your dessert / food will be serve later.

The place is pretty cozy for a hang out spot with 2 different sections and if you do want to get some privacy, they do have a further back section that cover with slightly see thru curtain to cover.

Menu is very straight forward as its all chocolate and dessert. If you are a chocolate lover you will find this heaven but do prepare to dig slightly deeper into your wallet . . .

Tried their Belgian Dark Chocolate Choco Mocha (you get to choose White, Milk or Dark) @ RM 12 for the little servings on the spoon. When this is serve, it instantly connect me to one of my favourite brand Max Brenners as their concept of chocolate drinks/waffle is pretty similiar. Taste of the chocolate is pretty strong and it might over power your taste bud over the chocolate overdoze and coffee is strong enough to pair it well.

Next is Mint Hot Dark Chocolate with Marsh-mellow @ RM 17. Find it quite expensive as with those add ons of marsh mellow cost additional RM 3-RM7. Taste is smooth chocolate drink and its cute to have their signature logo into the drink. There is actually a trick in drinking this as it is serve in pretty wide bowl and you have to drink it in classic style, according to the picture.

They have props avialable at the standee behind and you can just grab a few bob marley hair wig and huge sun glass that resembles to their logo and camwhore or selfie.

 This is the actual way of drinking this hot mint choco.

Waffle for One @ RM 12 is kinda expensive for me as I rather pay a bit more heading to one of my favourite chocolate place in Publika and more satisfying too which I shall not reveal it.

Anyhow, this outlet do have pro’s and con’s in terms of taste and its definitely up to your judgement. Its not cheap though and its chocolate.
