Pangkor Island Beach Resort @ Pulau Pangkor

It had been a long long time since I visited this island Pangkor Island Beach Resort , as I still remember that when I was kid that my dad bring me to this island, when I landed at the dock, I stare at the sea water and I can see many school of fish swimming around the area but now it had change as I went to another jetty. This island Pulau Pangkor, famously known as one of the jewels in the crown  of west coast peninsular Malaysia, that offers travelers the ultimate tranquil gatewa from the hustle and bustle of city life which is located 2 and half hours drive from Kuala Lumpur. To get here, travellers can purchase a direct bus ticket from Bukit Jalil Bus Station (a temporary station) with the price from RM27-RM35 per way but bring a neck pillow as it depends on driver that, it can be a painful ride as it took us about 5 hours to reach here.

*Dissapointing Fact:
During the trip, I realise that we are not the only people that going there as on that day, half of the bus were filled with international travellers from HK and Aus. As approching to the destination, as a Malaysians, I am VERY dissapointed with that xx bus comany driver of his attitude towards the tourist, or maybe he did not know that they were from international as one of the lady went to ask the driver are we reaching soon, and the replied from the bus driver ‘GOING TO REACH SOON! Can you please SIT down!’, 15 minutes later, The Aus couple were getting very uncomfortable as the journey on that day took us very long, then the guy went to ask the driver by ‘How Long does it takes us to reach there? The bus driver replied ’30minutes!!!!!!!’ he was like near yelling  and I was shocked~ This is how you treat people? I was like keep shaking my head . . .. . Well, what the hell…

Now I get a chance to come here again, with all thanks to Ee Lune for helping me to arrange this wonderfull trip, as I was send here by her to do some photoshoot for a resort. The main shooting of the resort is to help to capture children friendly environment and facilities and other nice facilities of the resort.

What I get to know from the locals there, it is usually packed with local tourist but its seasonal as towards end of the year, there will be many travellers around the world will flock the place.

It did shock me a little that I didnt know the surroundings area of the dock had many nice building and well taken care off, which I hope, Penang will have this kind of feel and look.

Entering the Ferry Terminal.

If you plan to go in by yourself or the hotel that you are staying didnt not cover your ferry, you can directly purchase it at the counter located directly at the entrance. For Adult it cost RM10 and Children is RM5

When I see the ferry, instantly I think of those ferry that took us to Langkawi, as these are the types of ferry that going to transport us into the island. It takes about 30 minutes boat ride into the main town of Pulau Pangkor.

Seats inside the ferry or boat.

I just got to know that we actually do assemble and build ships as the cruise ship located there lokks like being build.

Finally, I have reach the destination and I am all excited to check ot this resort. A resort that place specially at another jetty which specially arrange for pick up by the resort on certain time. To reach this resort from the jetty at the town center, it takes about 20 minutes car ride.

This resort is not small as is nestled amidst 73 acres of lush tropical forests overlooking at the Straits of Melacca, let’s not wasiting time and take a mini tour into the resort.

Under such a hot sun sitting a buggy around that huge green fields surround the main path towards the main entrance of the hotel.

From the right view is the Garden Wingz room that over look a big green flat land and golf course.

A open air concept looby that you can hear the waves splashing, birds churpping and cool windy breeze blowing towards me. Wooden furnitures and ceiling as to reminiscent the Malay heritage.

Hornbill icon is place here for a reason as many of the coconut trees, house many of this hornbills.

Their front dest staff is very attentive and providing good customer service.

Tadda… My room in the Ocean Wingz that over look a swimming pool and directly to the sea. The room

Spacious bath room that can even dance in there.

My room view. Swimming pool and to the ocean.

The outlook of my room view.

The resort are equip with mini sports area that have ping pong table, pool, foosball table for kids and adults to play on.

Then lets head to the kids care center.

That they call this Pandy panda kids club that they have a great hotel crew that opperating this place.

Gated fences on this area that provides a mini play ground area for the kids.

Tortise feeding session is available everyday on certain selected time.

The panda kids area is decorated more like a  kampung house that decorate with timber flooring, wooden walls and roof.

Every kids that reach this place on that day in that session will be given an ice cream as a welcome gift. Most of the ammenities have provided kids friendly environment with most of the item are plastic. Besides this, they provide a place for drawing, colouring, painting and many others.

Not us can write email so high tech but for kids they prefer to go into old classic way by looking for a penpal. To write to another kid from other part of the world that had been in here b4.

Besides that area, for adults you can always enjoy your leisure time by playin golf as this is a 9 holes goft course.

Or if you want something challenging, can head to moutain biking or jungle tracking.

I was also told that the resrort have very big space to cater specially for Corporate functions.

This is one of the place that usually did the team bonding.

Playing sports of Tennis.

If you do not like all the above you can head to their pool.

They certainly have a very safe baby pool with its depths of 0.4 m which is more like a 3 year old kid standing there wont be drown, in fact I assume that it will reach till their waist.

Then this cute kid went into the water and with a look of scared of the cold water, with his dad as he was scared then the dad persuaing him to walk around.

If you want something more relaxing, then you can just sit at the Kingfisher Pool Bar to enjoy a great cup of your cocktail or mocktail.

If all this doest suit you then beach definately will always be one of the best section.

I keep wondering what is this, but as when I take it up, it break into dry sand but wondering why the whole beach is full of this mini round balls of sand.

If you feel that all activities do not suits you, then kids can always build sad castle or prank of their dad.

this is the result of taking this shot and my Blackberry was drown in water inside my bag..

At late evening, then they do have Hornbill feeding session as the fruits is placed there and waiting for the wild hornbill to eat on them.

Hornbill restaurant featring international dish.

As night approaching, they do have movie day on selected time and movie acccording on that week.

Night view of the resort.

I woke up very early in the morning trying to catch on the sunrise. It was quite dissapointing as it rained on the previous night.

Heading for breafast that offers, western and local.

After a great wonderfull shot at this resort, I could not thank more again to Ee Lune for this session.
