A Pie Thing @ Uptown Damansara

I guess to hunt for food nowdays is to see the hype. Another previous hype that was all over the place which I did not really even bother to queue until it slowly died down which is recently, I drop by with my friends to check them out.

A Pie Thing is one of its kind or you can put it in a way that they can be consider the first outlet that sells purely pie which is very similiar to oversea, also known as one of their common food for breakfast,lunch or tea time.

I was lucky that when I reach there were like only 3-4 person in front of me and right after I sat down, the queue started to pilled up again.

There are no services in here as its a self service cafe and menu in here are pretty straight forward. You can either grab their special version pie which is The Mashacre – pilled up with layer of (Gravy+Peas+MAsh+Pie as base) or another option is choose Pie Toppings as alternative.

To get started, choose any types of pie in the display fridge. .

Next to it is their range of dessert pie, which is kinda interesting. . .

Another fridge is their range of imported chocolates.

 

As its a self service area, so when your number is up, you need to collect at their pick up counter.

Try one of their signature in Set – The Mashacre – Chunky Steak + Bitter Lemon @ RM 19.90

Chocolate Latte @ RM 14.90 – Nothing special as it is served with a stick of pretty huge piece of chocolate and froth milk

Here comes the pie – The Mashacre – pilled up with layer of (Gravy+Peas+MAsh+Pie as base – Chunky Steak)

Pie crust is nice as its bake to pretty crips, top with mash green peas and mash potato as brown sauce do add in a little hint of flavours to it. Chunky beef gravy is not too salty and its just nice for a person. This portion for a girl might find it too much.

Find that their dessert pie its very interesting as read some reviews that ‘The Elvis’ @ RM 11.90 is pretty much recommended and decided to go along with the flow. Turns out to be impressive. Slightly creamy on the top, as banana is aromatic and top with some peanut butter in it to be more flavourful.

I guess its really a personal preference as I have eaten a better pie before and since they are the first outlet that offer savoury pie, most peeps will consider it as a one stop center and to me, for the price I am paying, I guess I can find a better option. Its just another hype up place. Oh well, some of my friends are regular here.
