Putien @ 1-Utama

Putien one of a well known family restaurant among my friends. Well known for their consistancy food quality and classic Chinese dish is a place worth to consider for family gathering. They specialises in Heng Hwa cuisine that originates from Fujian, with a story that heads back as a coffee shop in Singapore’s Kitchener Road in 2000.  With their consistantcy of quality, this year Putian bagged One Star Michelin Award for its Kitchener Road Outlet by the inaugural Michelin Guide Singapore 2016.

Seaweed with mini Shrimps

For a starter, this is indeed a simple dish with its on complexicity. Love the seaweed texture, slightly slimy and little crunchy texture yet the mini shrimp add on the nice saltiniess to it.

Braised Putien Handmade Bean Curd

A dish that looks simple yet the little secret is the broth in the plate that absorb the sauce nicely that making every single bite is juicy.

Putien’s Braised Bamboo Shoot is done nicely where it is a soft bite and love the gravy, indeed a China cooking style.

Putien Style Century Egg is one of a unique dish or I would make it a recommended dish. The century egg stir fried to perfection where it is coated in light and crispy batter with some sweet and sour sauce. The yolk inside remained creamy even after deep-frying. So good!

Always love soup and Fish Maw Soup is one of their signature too as love the clear, simple and nice yet very flavourful.

Stir Fried Seaweed is another unique dish where the cut is like fettuccine  and love the sourness and little spicy end taste of it. The seaweed has a nice crunchy texture.

Shredded Meat with Bun is served with golden fried mantao. Stir fried pork meat slices with wok hei that pairs well with the cripsy fried man tau. Plastic hand gloves are provided too for convenience.

For folks who loves good Chinese tea, this Deep Fried Yellow Croaker will be a good pairing where it is flown all the way from Fujian.

Putien’s Lor Mee is a well known dish in this restaurant. This dish do remind me on my grandma’s teochew classic porridge. Rich in flavour as the have hint of seafood – filled with pork slices, prawns, clams, scallop, mushrooms and vegetables were thrown in. Indeed a nice comfort food.
