Roots Ahoy, Toh Lee Chinese Restaurant @ Nikko Hotel

‘Stewed Lamb with white radish and carrot’ is my favourite for the night. Cook to perfection, that the aroma of it smells so good till I cant wait to get a bite of it. Lamb was cook till soft and tender, juicy by soakng the sauce along the process, the gravy base that been cook and stewed with raddish and carrot is full of flavour in the soup. Something unique but look simple. Recommended~ RM48 (S), RM 72 (M), RM 96 (L)

‘Roasted Duck in Hong Kong Style’ dipping it with the duck sauce is something that we did not miss. .  .

‘Stir Fried Sheredded Turnips with Snow Pea and Pine Nuts’ if you are a person who enjoy strong taste all the while, then you will not like this vegetable as its very mild in taste crispy, for me I like it alot and told Ken that if this were to go along with white porridge, it would be more perfect! RM32 (S), RM 48 (M), RM 64 (L)

This is the raw ingredient before it is proceed, carefully hand pick before being served . . .

Another unique dish that came accross for the very first time, ‘Poached Potatoes Noodle with Superior Soup and Dried Shrimps’ @ RM 12 per portion, that created our curiosity when we first heard the name, and requested to repeat a gain few times as we thought we heard wrong, but suprise us that the noodle actually taste not bad, very soft till its like home made style, with long boil superior sup and dried shrimps added on the top is something that I enjoy learning to eat.

Till every 1 of us keep asking the chef to show us the machine how it had been prepared and cut. . ..

Tadaaaa. . . . this is how the noodle is create.  . .. .

‘Sweet Potato with Ginkgo Nuts and Honey Syrup’ @ RM 10 per portion.

Another unique dish that I came accross for the first time ‘Yam Candy with Sesame’ @ RM10. . .

By looking at the process even make me more curious on it, why such desert is wash with ice cold water. .  The reason is that I got told that, they want to stick on the yam and eat along taste better, which we agree. . .

If you are looking something to eat that not in our daily menu, then I guess this is one of the set menu worth trying. . .
