Superb beef noodle at Lee Fong Yuen @ Kepong

After saw Joshua posted this bowl of noodle in Facebook, quickly screen shot it then went to hunt over the weekend. Lee Fong Yuen 李芳园, is indeed a hidden gem tucked away in Taman Ehsan, Kepong which had been operating in this area for more than 30 years.

currently is helm by 2nd generation as the uncle in the picture is the founder manning the store and daughter is manning the coffee side. Most of the diners here are in for their signature Wan Tan Mee, but I am here for something else.

Their signature Teh Peng @ RM 2.50 is a must have. quite similiar to those good Hong Kong milk tea. Smooth yet not too sweet. Their Kopipeng is alright.

Their homemade chili paste is quite interesting. With hint of saltiness and mild spiciness with nice herb after taste (i could be wrong)

This is what i am here for. A classic Beef noodle @ RM 9. What attracted me to come all the way here is the colour of the soup.

Indeed a very unique bowl of Beef Noodle Soup. Thick and punch with flavour. It is just indeed very UMAMI! The meat soak well the flavour of the soup yet every bite is just satisfying. Beef meat is soft yet juicy and tendon is cook to perfection. Soft enough to give you a light chewy texture. White radish in it is heaven. Soak all the taste from the soup.

A good bowl of beef noodle should not miss out a bowl of beef balls. Chewy and bouncy. Love it. Those of you who love strong flavour profile, this is indeed a place that you should not miss. Strong in herb taste too.

Order both dry @ RM 8 and soup noodle. Soup noodle turns out to be better as dry noodle the cooking of the noodle is a bit miss. Quite over cook.

Enjoying every bit of it.

Will I be back? Definitely will be back. Will be in my recommended list too. Since the taste is quite different, that is not your usual beef noodle that you can find.

Price mention above are my estimation if I remember correctly. Cuz the price is quite reasonable.
