Tangkuban Perahu inactive Volcano @ Bandung, Indonesia

We are at 1830m above sea level . ..

Tangkuban Perahu, or Tangkuban Parahu in local Sundanese dialect, is an dormant volcano 30 km north of the city of Bandung, the provincial capital of West Java, Indonesia. It last erupted in 1959 It is a popular tourist attraction where tourists can hike or ride to the edge of the crater to view the hot water springs upclose, and buy eggs cooked on its hot surface. This stratovolcano is on the island of Java and last erupted in 1983. Together with Mount Burangrang and Bukit Tunggul, those are remnants of the ancient Mount Sunda after the plinian eruption caused the Caldera to collapse. (source by Wikipedia)

this is the inactive volcano that still have the smell of sulfer . ..

Then Agnes told us that there are actually a creator much nicer than what we saw  .. the thing is must walk down 2km. . I said, go down is no problem..hike up is the big problem . . .

then we decided to take a sneak peek of it see wheater we want to go all the way down or not.

the name is called Domas Crater which we need a guide to walk us down for safety purposes. . .

of course we have decided not to walk the way down just because of that. .  only few hundred meters away . .

Then there is this guy that use a tree trunk to crave this unique shape out and the design you see on the outer layer is actuall original from the tree.

look look for a while, its time for us to hike up short distance .. . and trust me, the rest of them hike up this short distance they were already short on breath . .imagine we go all the way down and hike up 2km . .they sure faint!

love the colour of their pacakaging, so colourful . .

On the other side of the area, which are all the small small stall selling souvenir and bare in mind that the souvenir pricing up here is much more expensive compare to others even after you bargain, if you are looking for the volcanic rocks key chain which is very nice, only available up here.. other places or mid of the hill also do not sell . .. its a good buyy which I had miss it .. .

Wool souvenir and lots of weird weird things to be get up here. ..

Bought the set of drum which is pretty nice ehhh… with the drum mention The Beatles. ..

Two of them were so busy, n seriously, have to thank to them for bringing us around. . . They told us that, there is actually another nicer inactive volcano to visit compare to this one which is about 2-2n half hour drive. . a highly recommended place especially for photographer ..
