Whimsical Chirstmas @ Dataran Pahlwan Melaka Megamall

Christmas is just around the corner and Dataran Pahlwan Melaka Megamall (DPMM) has stepped up with Melaka’s LARGEST, most spectacular Christmas celebration in history. Running from 15 th November – 31st December 2014, DPMM has been transformed into a dreamlike wonderland with its eye-popping ‘Whimsical Christmas’ festive theme.

This year, DPMM has created a larger-than-life festive wonderland for its ‘Whimsical Christmas’ campaign 2014. To evoke a sense of wonder and excitement, a vast ‘Christmas Village’ was created by decking the entire mall with large, quirky festive baubles. Extraordinary features include a sparkling forest of whimsical Christmas trees, adorable elf bobble-hats, twinkling fairy lights, enormous gift boxes and the giant ‘WHIMSICAL CHRISTMAS’ display spelled out in light-bulbed letters. Santa’s hot-rod sleigh is also parked out front at the Main Entrance in Santa’s Grotto for a truly once in a lifetime photo opportunity!

Beyond the splendid Christmas décor, a full schedule of fun-filled festive activities and performances await DPMM shoppers. From captivating aerial performances to traditional Christmas caroling and a ‘Meet & Greet’ with Santa, there is so much to see and do in DPMM. Shoppers will also enjoy the FREE gift wrapping service, popcorn and candy floss gift redemption.

For the gift-hunters, DPMM’s handy Christmas Advent Calendar showcases all the best bargains and exciting freebies available in-store! Beginning from the 1st to 25th December 2014, each day will offer one special promotion featuring a selected tenant. When shoppers purchase the item on offer, their names will be dropped into a lucky draw box where a random name will be selected to win an exclusive gift from the participating outlet.

To maximise the school holidays, kids will be thoroughly entertained with fun and educational activities such as the weekend art & craft workshops, colouring contests, a Christmas Tea Party with a cheeky piñata and they can even send a handwritten postcard to Santa or meet him in person in and around our mall!

And because this is the season of giving, DPMM is giving shoppers a chance to give back to society with the ‘Wish Upon A Star’ Charity Drive. In collaboration with the Hopehaven Centre for Children with Special Needs, DPMM has invited the special kids to write down their personal Christmas wish list. The wish lists are displayed at the Main Entrance where generous shoppers can help make a child’s wish come true by sponsoring a gift. On Christmas Day, DPMM will deliver the gift to the child as a special surprise. Started on 15th November 2014, the charity drive has already received an overwhelming response from the public with nearly all the wish lists taken up and sponsored by generous shoppers. The event will continue with more wishlists collected from the children.
