Yugami Steamboat with Curry Fish Head Soup base @ Sri Petaling

I am a fan of steamboat especially during rainy days. However there is one steamboat place that do really capture my attention which is located at Sri Petaling, this newly revamp place known as Yugami Steamboat.

Simple casual dining places with modern decor with option of indoor and outdoor which will be more ideal for smokers.

To me what capture my attention of this outlet is their soup base. Two of their signature which is Curry Fish Pot & Fish Pot.

Others ingredient will be the usual and they do have a few items that are homemade which is worth ordering . . .

Chili paste is also their signature as we were then thought on their house special sauce mix with a good mixture of their “fu yu” paste, spicy malat chili (do put abit by bit at your spiciness level as it is very spicy) & fried garlic oil.

This is how it turn out. Indeed a pretty great sauce to dip with the fresh meat.

Salted Egg Yolk Squid @ RM 19.80

Fried rice turns out to be pretty good as can taste its ‘wok hei’ and pair it with their curry fish head soup base. Just perfect for me.

Shrimp Paste Chicken Wings @ RM 7.50

Their unique selling point of this soup base as they use more than 20 ingredients and some with their special own mix that the actual soup base is being cooked more than 10 hours to make it solid and pungent with taste.

Theirs is not those typical as upon ordering, they will freshly slice all the fish slices then add in soup to boil it that will take about 5-10 minutes before serving. Then the soup  has quite a good fresh fish taste.

Curry version to me is quite nice as seldom you will find this slight coconut curry taste which is well balance.

For me, as above would be my top 4 recommendations to order if you do pay a visit as those are made by themselves.

If you love pork slices, then its great to add into your ordering list.

If you do have cravings during lunch hours, then they do have lunch promotion which estimated from RM 11- RM 16 and I find that the portion is very generous.

It was a fun night as do meet all new people I have not met before.

Yugami steamboat is worth trying . ..
