Ewe Hokkien Mee & Loh Mee @ Perak Road

While on the way back for CNY and my friend mention that, we should stop by one of her favourite Hokkien Mee stall before heading to another location. Of course when comes to food how can I reject and especially when back to Penang.

She brought me to this apartment area and there is a small little shop that operate right below it.

Ewe Hokkien Mee & Loh Mee is pretty well known among the neighbourhood and often its sold out before 10.30am and this round luck was on my side that I reach 11am and it was the last 3 bowls that I ordered 3 of them.

I would consider Ewe Hokkien Mee is a hidden gem around the area.

Hokkien Mee @ RM 3.50 is pretty good as the most important is the soup and, soup base can taste pork bone and also shrimp shell. It is mild and once I add another spoonful of chili its perfect. Spicy enough to my liking and great.

One of the best product is this Loh Mee @ RM 3.50 which is consider going to be extinct soon, as not many places have a pretty good one. I am impress with this as the soup “loh” is starchy and thick enough yet aromatic. Just loving in and recommended!
