Hong Kong Ban Jeom @ Solaris, KL

My best friend recently introduce me to a hidden gem of Korean Chinese fusion food in Solaris. Hong Kong Ban Jeom is indeed a hidden restaurant that located at level 1 that offers Korean Chinese homecook food, that sits a few doors away from Palsaik Korean BBQ restaurant. This would be my first time encountering Korean Chinese Food that is prepared by a Korean family.

Patrons in the shop is indeed all of them are Koreans.

Since there are only two of us, we ordered only two dish which are her favourites. Start off with Kkhanpunggi  @ RM 60. Deep fried chicken with hot pepper sauce. In love with this dish as it gives you hint of spiciess of burning sensation right at the end of the bite. Fried chicken cook to perfection that is crispy and well quoted with the spicy pepper sauce that give you a mild souri

sh end.

This is Jajangmyeon @ RM 20 for Regular. Noodle with Black soy bean sauce. It is Korean version of Jajang noodle. Thick sauce is covered up on top of the noodle win generous amount of mince meat and also fermented veggie. Noodle is silky smooth with slighly chewy texture. Intersting texture and taste.

Indeed this place is quite interesting and will come back to try other of their dishes. More like a homecook base restaurant. Price is not cheap though which I find it a standard Korean meal pricing in KL.
