Charcoal? What do you think about it? I was told that anything that used charcoal to cook makes a wonderful dish. I agree to that point as I have seen the difference of side by side that one use charcoal to cook and one use gas to cook and the taste is quite different.
Another thing which is, its pretty hard to find a hawker stall, or place to use charcoal to cook besides this famous eatery place Pan Heong located at Batu Caves. Nontheless there is a new kid on the block in Bandar Puteri that started its business 6 months ago that use charcoal for steamboat. This is certainly a rare one in the area or a rare one for charcoal steamboat in Klang Valley.
I was brought by a friend to dine here as he mention its a pretty good one if you love steamboat as the soup is a big kick. When I heard about the name, I thought of the movie Hidden Tiger Crouching Dragon and got very curious and ask about the name. How the name Dragon Tiger gate came about was the dish itself as it was meant for a dry cook dish yet the owner turn it into soup base that makes it to another different level.
Love the interior of the place as its very classic with yet simple chinese finishing with huge wooden thick door with side window ..
Every table here is filled with one side rack for extra dish to be stored.
Price here are very decent for such an ambiance. .
2 of their soup base and their signature is Dragon Tiger Broth . .
Menu here are pretty straight forward.
All their condiments are made in house too as one of my favourite chili sauce is the one at 12 o’clock, as i finish 3 of it.
High grade charcoal are used here as the whole restaurant is in air condition and to prevent it to be very smokey. Yet fire remain small and nice to make the pot at hot temperature.
Dragon Tiger Broth are a bit on spicy base as they add in with chili oil yet the base is filled with some fresh milk and pork broth is certainly aromatic. Highly Recommended. Pork Bone Broth is quite normal compare to their signature.
If you order single flavour base for Dragon Tiger Broth it is serve along in Claypot that will bring different flavour to it when burn under charcoal. (I will certainly try that next visit)
All of us getting ready to pour everything into the hotpot ..
for seafood lovers, they do have fresh seafood here but do ask them first before you order as I find that some of them are fresh some are not.
the usual ordering. .
If you love slice meat, then here is a must order as we order, Beef, lamb and pork slices. All 3 are equally good. My favourite is beef or lamb.
Since Chinese NEw YEar is few days away, and looking for a place for reunion dinner, I think this steamboat place will certainly make a great place to be as its air condition.

update : [have closed down] – Publika
Who do not fancy home recipe or homecook food? However there is one new restaurant hidden right at a corner in Publika that offer pretty good home cook recipe which is Pizza Gallery. It was form on a passion by creating good pizza and hence this brand was created to showcase what they have.
I must say that I am one of a regular person in Publika but really did not spot this outlet as they are located right far behind after Coffee Society.
Interior of this place is pretty simple as they are providing a comfortable dining for diners.
Menu here is pretty simple as their signature here is Pizza.
Mushroom Soup is just decent. . .
One of the first dish that you must not miss for bites is Signature Chicken Wings @ RM 15.90. Fried to perfection with home cook seasoning then top with BBQ sauce. If this to goes with beer its even more perfect as they do sell bottle beers..
Cheeze Bread is quite fragrant with the type of cheeze that they are using and I love the bread that after toast is still quite soft. @ RM 6.90
If you are a cheeze lover then Cheese Macaroni would be a dish that you should consider ordering. Slightly creamy yet cheeze flavor is strong enough for this portion as it was gone within seconds after it was served. @ RM 12.90
Caesar Salad @ RM 8.90
Creamy Seafood Pasta
For a creamy sauce, this is pretty good with the amount of seafood that they are giving for the price that they are charging. Spaghetti is al dante. .
Aglio Alio is one of a simple dish yet not many places can do it good. This is pretty good as we did order second portion again. One of the main reason as its simple enough yet appetizing and mild spicy to makes us keep eating. @ RM 10.90
Tomyum Spaghetti is one of their signature and if you love something really spicy and localise, this is a dish that can really make your tongue go numb and sweat it out.
Here comes their signature range. Beef Pepperoni is one of the most basic pizza yet one of a highly recommended by me. Cheeze is enough to cover the pizza yet ingredient of it is just nice. Thin Crust is baked to perfection on the end of the crust is crips enough and appetizing for every bite. @ RM 22.90
Tomyum Special is also their signature pizza and highly recommended if you love spicy taste. Comparing this with the spaghetti, this would be a better option as the taste is slightly more pungent. @ RM 29.90 – tomyum sauce, sqeed, prawns, crabstick, onion, garnishing with cilantro, kaffir lime leaves & mozzarella cheeze
Satay Delight @ RM 25.90 – SAtay sauce, satay chicken onion, garnishing with red chili, cucumber & mozarella
Hawaii Classic @RM 23.90 – chicken toast, pineapple, Chicken Breast & Mozarella
After trying out all the thin crust, we totally forgot that they do have another version and we decided to get back Beef Pepperoni (pan Crust) since we find it very good. The dough of the pizza is done fresh in the kitchen that makes this pan crust also one of the best in its own range. Also a recommended version if you love something thicket yet soft end. @ RM 22.90
Chicken Burger if you are on budget then you can opt for this as it is serve in a pretty huge size. @ RM 12.90
Then we were the white mouse to try out their new range of cup cakes.
If you are a big eater, then do come for their buffet range as if I am not mistaken, its offered during 3-5pm Happy Hour and its very worth it. Per pax is about RM25++ as you get to try afew of their signature range.
If you are a pizza lover and looking for a nice one to eat, I would surely recommend this shop as their pizza is pretty good.

Year 2013 ended well for me with alot of things and new direction heading for my blog in year 2014 and also, being as one of the contestant in Online Game show – The Influencer is rather a new thing for me and great to meet all the rest of the heavy weight bloggers and . Then got a chance to test out Nokia new gadget Lumia 1520 as one of the latest series for Lumia.
Back in those days 10-15 years ago, who does not know Nokia as with one their famous series that still stuck in our head and yet one of the most widely used phone in those times is Nokia 3310. I am sure every one of you do own one or if not at least heard about it.
Unboxing the device, it comes with a phone, charger head + cable and headset.
Over the years, Nokia had too evolve and this is one of their latest discovery which is their first of its kind, a ‘phablet’ device and I find it pretty cool as I am a first time user for Window phone. Of course I find it pretty hard to use for a first time user and also something which I am not used too and after a while, everything seems pretty direct.
For pressent Lumia range under Nokia, its the biggest and fastest device to date. Filled with 6-inch Full HD IPS LCD display and one of Qualcomm’s fastest processors – the quad-core Snapdragon 800rated at 2.2Ghz. Besides that, I love the polycarbonate body rock solid body and not only that, it does not stop there as the front its protected with famed Gorilla Glass 2.
For device storage and heavy capacity user, you will be glad to know that its complemented with 2GB RAM along with internal storage is 32GB and a microSD slot for further expansion. Also get 7GB of cloud storage on SkyDrive.
The main view of your phone is easy as everything can be customise in 3 size, small, medium and big tiles. As the page act in 2 direction, up and down – left or right and that’s all only. The app that are installed are being categorize in alphabetical order for easy search.
Love the phone so far as among other phones that I have held before in that size, this surely is pretty light weigh at only 209g with the phone dimension 162.8 x 85.4 x 8.7mm – slim.
This food picture really looks like taken from DSLR but its from Lumia 1520.
In the phone, one of the best feature I like the most is of course the camera which is 20MP. Check out some of the shots I took with it at different condition and the details of zoom in is impressive.
Then took picture by trying out the camera on my friends as the picture above without flash and below is with flash.
in very low light and with flash . . .
After looking at the picture taken, they keep praising on the quality of the pictures. 🙂
As I was flying back, I took a picture too and turns out to be great.
I must say the camera functions is really impressive that now is acting like my second main camera. Besides that, in there are app that pairs well with it which is Nokia Pro Cam and Nokia Camera apps into one. Girls would love their build in app that have the function of beauty – Nokia Glam Me.
Video is the next thing that I am impress too as you would want to check out as this series are using the Nokia Lumia 1520 to film . . The Influencer – Part 6

So far I am charging my phone average every 18 hours once. Heavy Usage would last about 10-13 hours.
If you do get Nokia Lumia 1520, do get their trademark colour like Yellow or Red. Black does not really show the signature of it as it looks like an ordinary phone.
I have to say that Instagram now do make a big hit into F&B business, as many people or the new trend is whenever the person whom you follow, you are keen to try on the food, fashion or anything that related to them. Well, I discover this place as KY do move around and saw his Instagram about this place then decided to try it out.
Never knew this place exist as this coffee shop certainly smack right in the heart of this SS4 neighborhood and if I did not turn from Petronas there, I would not find this stretch of shop lot.
It was early in the morning as we are hunting for breakfast and we were here about 9.30am and this place already so pack.
When I saw what they are cooking, it gives me the feel of the similiar famous curry noodle shop in Segambut that serve pretty decent yet expesinve noodle known as Yu Ai seafood.
Ingredients here are pretty fresh and I miss out the fish ball as it looks pretty decent. Will come by again next round.
Kopi Ais here is pretty good, as its pretty strong and pungent in taste. .
When I walk into the outlet, I notice alot people are ordering Fish Cake and we decided to order one too. Turns out to be pretty good as its warm, aromatic and looks like its a home made version.
In this shop, its pretty famous for their clear soup base and we ordered one to share with better quality fish(Red Snapper). Fish is very fresh, soft and good. Clear soup with pork lard is sure a great way to start up our morning.
*there are a few versions of fish for you to choose and price are vary to market price.
Since I smell tomyum, and ordered one too, with normal fish with added clams. Taste of the soup are more towards sour base rather than spicy and I prefer the clear soup more.
Then we get more pork lard to add more umph into the soup. .
One thing you must not miss is their homemade sambal. Spicy enough to make you sweat and kick enough to dip along with any of the ingredient you wanted too.
To find this shop is not that hard as they are the only one that are super pack with people over the weekend and just locate 2 little tress that block their coffee shop sign board.
Overall my bill came to about RM45 and surely is not cheap to dine there. Again it depends what kind of ingredient you order and its not a every weekend affairs to dine there unless you are willing to fork out money.
