Famous Hakka Noodle “Da Bu Mien” (大埔面) @ Jalan Sayur, Pudu

When you are in KL, what do you plan to eat? Well, there is one particular place that I used to dine very often when I stayed nearby 4 years ago is this little corner stall that serve one of the oldest Hakka noodle known as the “Da Bu Mien” stall at Jalan Sayur, Pudu. It is exactly the same street of “wai Sek Kai, in Jalan Pudu”.

I was first introduce to this place by my ex colleague that she used to dine here with her grandparents and whenever they are looking for one nice Hakka noodle, this is the place where they usually end up with. Its an old place but known by many people. Currently, Chun Kee is being run by the fourth generation now as you can see the uncle in green apron is now monitoring and his kids are taking over.

A place which is pretty pack with people for early morning and there are other 2 stalls that you can hunt for when you are in the area.

There are quite limited space in this stall whereby I used to do table sharing with other customers.

This is a simple breakfast that most of the people are ordering. Da Bu Mien that serve with mince pork, char siew and wantan @ RM4.50 and the coffee is not bad.

Its a simple bowl of noodle with fragrant mince meat as its drip with some pork lard oil and my favourite is their noodle. Its springy and its homemade. Set back is sometimes its springy and sometimes its over cook. Still its a good bowl of noodle in downtown KL, recommended!

Remark: Dining place here are pretty limited, and its best for you to leave once you have done with your meal instead of sitting there to chit chat. You will either got scolded by the owner or hungry patrons which is waiting for tables.

  • Pudu is notorious for its lack of parking and the picture look like the dried wantan noodle with the wantan.
