    kimchi jjigae (10)

add everything into your pot. add 2 pinch of sugar and 1 pinch of salt

    kimchi jjigae (11)

add the stock 100ml + 400ml water mixture in. total is 500ml water for 2 pax.

bring it to boil for 8-10 minutes. In between do test the soup base.

    kimchi jjigae (13)

UMAI launches largest database of restaurants that sell gift cards to help keep your favorite restaurants afloat

UMAI launches largest database of restaurants that sell gift cards to help keep your favorite restaurants afloat.
As the Covid-19 pandemic progresses, governments are implementing lockdown and initiating quarantines that are
affecting local businesses – purchasing/selling of gift cards helps provide them with immediate cashflow.
    Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: On 26

th March 2020, UMAI has launched the largest directory of Malaysian restaurants
and cafes that offer gift cards and vouchers, making it easier for diners to support their favorite restaurants by
purchasing for themselves, loved ones, or the less fortunate. Buying full or discounted value vouchers will help
restaurants with immediate cashflow, and offset lost income amidst the Malaysian Movement Restriction Order.
Restaurants are struggling to stay afloat, as they are no longer allowed to serve customers in-house, and sales are
down across the country. As F&B businesses typically operate at a 3 – 5% margin, there’s not much buffer room left
for them to weather this out, putting their teams and business at risk of closure. While gift cards provide immediate
income relief that will help these business continue running, less than 1% of Malaysian restaurants are offering this
service – UMAI is offering this software for free, during this unprecedented times.
“There are a lot of restaurants that are deciding whether they stay is business or not,” says Co-Founder, Jonas
Chelbat. “Our generosity, collectively as consumers, now literally affects the ability of your favorite restaurant to
    stay open.”

“At this point, the purchasing of gift cards is the best thing any of us can do to support restaurants – and it’s win-
win. It’s like giving a restaurant or cafe a loan, and getting paid back in food, drinks and appreciation. We built this

software so that consumers can purchase this on behalf of loved ones, support the less fortunate or simply for
themselves during this difficult time,” says Co-Founder, Alexander Small. “The most important thing we can do is
bring attention to the problem, and help the community play a role in solving it.”
The site currently features 63 restaurants that sell gift cards. UMAI is aiming to help at least 200 more restaurants
make it onto the list. Visitors can:
    • Search for a specific restaurant, or browse based on who has discounted gift cards – by area, cuisine type
    and so forth.
    • Visitors can purchase a restaurants gift card directly from the restaurant’s website, by clicking on a
    restaurant.
    • Any restaurant can add their gift card to the directory.

  • An Everyday wear with Thousand Miles Shorts

An Everyday wear with Thousand Miles Shorts

Sometimes for guys, it is quite hard to find a nice comfortable every day shorts. It is hard to find a pair that you get a nice cutting but only to wear it for specific occasions, could not be your all in one pants. Is there any shorts/pants which is kinda like all in one? What if there’s one that is all in one? There is one actually, but again depending on your fashion style. Thousand Miles is one of the new start up that offers you all-in-one shorts depending on your fashion style. Personally, I’d say this suits me pretty well.

    Thousand Miles (1)

Not only it is comfy, it is perfect for sports person too where the shorts is made like kinda dry fit concept. So, this is light, airy, easy to iron unlike our normal traditional shorts and perfect for travels too as it is pack-able into a rather small size and does not take up a lot of space.

As for this, I got a pair of this shorts in their website Duo Pack that comes with Urban Grey and Midnight Blue.

Do note that I am standing at :
    height : 185cm
    weight: 90 kg
    average size for my jeans/pants : 34 -35 inch (some cutting like Zara/ H&M is 36 inch)
    – The size I got for my pants is SIZE L

    Thousand Miles (2)

Love the Urban Grey colour as it easily fits with my colour of t-short/shirts that I have. Wore the shorts out over the weekend and find it very comfortable, and light. Both front pockets were quite deep to fit both my handphone and wallet as usual. The shorts lenghts are about 2-4 inches away from my knee.

    Thousand Miles (3)

    Thousand Miles (4)

A little side view of both front pocket and back pocket.

    Thousand Miles (5)

    Thousand Miles (6)

both back pocket comes with a zip.

As I was eating in the restaurant and got some water drops onto the pants. To my suprise it dries up pretty quick.

    Thousand Miles (7)

    Thousand Miles (8)

On the front side, it comes with adjustable string, just in case you buy pretty big size? An instant tick button for support. What I like the most is, both the sizes are with flexi rubber. So I do not have to worry on unbuttoning my shorts after heavy meal.

    Thousand Miles (9)

    Thousand Miles (10)

    Thousand Miles (11)

    Both  my pants.

    Thousand Miles (12)

A sample of me folding it up and my parquet tiles is about 15cm x 15 cm per piece. It definitely can go smaller and flatter too, if you have master a few folding methods.

Can actually be packed into the right pocket like this.

    Thousand Miles (13)

I have pull and stretch it maximum and it seems can stretch about easily 1 inch per side.

    Thousand Miles (14)

    Thousand Miles (17)

Not only your common casual shorts, it is also perfect for sports too. If you are into hiking or jogging, it is a perfect 1 indeed. Dry up pretty fast.

If you are on budget and looking for a pair – Shopee 4.4 got a good deal. Earbud + mi watch – RM 70++ (click here)

    Xiaomi airdots (2)

Bought this at Lazada during Raya 2019 and I got it at around RM 110 with delivery all the way from China. It reached quite fast as it took about 10 days to reach on my end.

Currently also can be bought at Xiaomi Shopee Official Store too. Do check out their sale from time to time to get the best bargain.

    Xiaomi airdots (4)

some panic moment is when left and right does not sync. You only need to hold both piece together till it blink either white/red together.

Then pair it again on your phone/device.

    Xiaomi airdots (6)

As for this earbuds review, I find it not too bad as overall performance.

    1. The bass is alright’lah (if want to compare with others then this is no where there, including those with wire)
