On my first discovery on Madame Waffle at Mid Valley, it was not at the best experience of food and however recently I have visited them back again. Madame Waffle have expended their wings now to four outlets and counting. Not only that as over the years I have been thought and develop my palate further, only now I realise how the taste and texture for this Japanese artisan waffle is suppose to be.
By using finest quality flour imported from Japan to create waffles that baked on the spot have since then improve on their processes. Their version of waffle is suppose to be bread-like yet with little hint of texture like waffle on the outer layer. The first bite will give you a confusion of bread like yet it had a hint of nice sweetness aroma at the end.
Latte, Green Tea & Passion Fruit Mint Soda is a thirst quencher and perfect for hot weather.
Their Salted Egg Yolk Waffle smells amazing when it is serve.
The salted egg yolk puree is left separately for you to pour on your own, depending how much you need it, it can be poured at your own preference. For us, we just poured till its last drop. Love the creamy filling, not too salty and overpowering yet this savoury version is just perfect. Salted egg yolk did not cover the taste of ice cream and waffle where it indeed pairs well.
Tiramisu Waffle is topped with its cream on the top along with heavy shake of cocoa powder to cover it. Like it as it is not too sweet yet not too hard on the texture.
As a durian lover, I must say that this is a waffle that you should not miss. Musang Durian Creme Brulee Waffle is a bomb! with its thick creamy texture of cream is pack with durian flavours that goes very well with waffle. – highly recommended as we had two of this!
Something simple and very direct as a Japanese palate then this Delight Macha Signature is one of the usual that will never fail.
Chocolate lover, this will be on your side where Earl Grey Gelato Ferrero Roche is another great dish. I am in love with their Earl Grey gelato where fragrance of earl grey is not too overpowering yet while you eat all 3 component together, the flavor is just amazing. If you were to buy only an ice cream-their Earl Grey Gelato is to die for.
For a start, their classic version is one of the way to go and I must say that this round, I have change on a perception towards them where their waffle had certainly improve much better now. Worth to give it a try.
