1-Utama constantly gave me headache for 2 things. First of course could not be missing out is their parking if you visit on weekend and second is what to eat in this mall. Was suppose to head to HOng Kong restaurant next to them till I saw Coco Ichibanya Curry House.
Just read in Google that they are actually quite a prominent franchise chain in Japan that specialise in Japanese Curry.
I believe that they just opens its door not too long ago as they took over Lameeya Lam Mee Noodle House. What attracted me is their display bench outside with Japanese Curry certainly hit on me as I am a big fan of Japanese Curry.
Everything looks good in this cabinet.
Just out of my curiosity as they cuisine is Japanese Curry yet the interior is very modern and European design.
Its a pretty straight forward menu as it comes with ala-carte with your choices or customade. Good thing is that the portion can be reduce as they reduce in price also and the rest for ad on’s by your pick and choose preference.
Love it as they have unlimited refill of their pickled tomato and chilli powder.
Of course I go for my classic which is egg omelette wrap with Pork Tonkatsu & add on with corn. @ RM 28
It is just so good as the curry is thick enough with mild spicy (I choose level 2) which is just nice already and anything beyond that is going to be very spicy and spoil the taste. Might wanna try that next round. Love the taste as hint of Japanese curry powder is there and with very very mild sweet end which is their classic taste. Pork is fried to perfection with golden brown crips on the outer layer.
For more classic, add on their pickled tomato to add on extra kick of it, as it do change the flavour of the curry to slightly sourish. Just perfect for me.
To those of you who love Japanese Curry, this is one of a highly recommended place for me as its pretty near to Tokyo and I have been returning a couple of times since I discover this place. Yumssss!
