Steamed Mushroom Egg Custard in a Tea Cup with Sea Urchin

Slow Boiled Saufry Fish in Sweetened Soy Sauce, Steamed Roll Chicken, Salmon Canape with Fresh Wasabi

Morton Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

reina (16)

a dish that look so simple but its filled with great taste. Steam egg is soft and sea urchin do not have fishy taste that blended very well with the softness and mushroom taste of it. Usually I do not take fish, but this marinated soufry fish I just loving it, with its sweet taste yet a bit burn and solid meat texture and I felt its very authentic.  Salmon Canape been thin slice and added ontop and with its fresh wasabi just burn our nose. GOOD!

Starter

reina (21)

Rare Wagyu Beef, Sesame Wasabi Dressing

Hunter’s Marborough Pinot Noir

reina (20)

I am impress with the starter with  3 generous slices of wagyu beef handed in front of me.

reina (22)

Eat it plain, you can just taste the freshness of the meat, to be perfect you have to dip with the sauce that given, a hint of ginger, peanut, wasabi (in my thought) that makes it so perfect that I dip to the last drop of the sauce with 3 slices given.

Mains

reina (23)

Steamed Sea Bass with Japanese Rice Wine, Patong (spicy) Sauce

This is sure to  impress, with sea bass steam so soft that it nearly melts in the mouth and japanese rice wine even make it taste better as a soup base that had soak into the meat during steam. The best is the patong spicy sauce, a bit sweet, sour lime, salty japanese soy sauce blend so well with the fish that we save the sauce for the next dish.

Patong Spicy sauce

reina (25)

Grilled Miso-Marinated Sablefish Wrapped with Bamboo Leaf

reina (26)

Been grilled to perfection that paint a layer of marinate oil to make it shiny and delicious. Once the chopstick poke through, the meat open softly that can see the slices break in between easily to show its fresh. I wish I could steal Esther portion too.

reina (27)

Prawn Tempura with Shredded Potato that had been deep fried along.

reina (29)

Half Grilled Assorted Sushi which comes with very fresh sashimi slices on top.

reina (30)

Asari Clam Clear Soup

Hunter’s Marlborough Pinot Noir

reina (31)

Clear mild soup which I find it very aromatic with clamp

Desert

reina (32)

Black Sugar Ice Cream which caught my attention, first time I came accross on black sugar ice cream, you would just want to taste the texture of the ice cream which is so soft like eat cotton candy, that just melts instantly once put into mouth. To me, its a bit sweet though but some find it okay.

A serving in MIGF menu that charge with this kind of price yet serve very good Japanese food, without hesitation this is a good menu to hunt for. . . Promotion ends at October 31st 2010
