In line with the trend, more hotels are now serving afternoon tea. The latest that I have tried is in this newly open hotel in Kuala Lumpur – Altitude at Banyan Tree and Residence in the heart of Bukit Bintang. Sitting high up at level 53 is one of a main selling point that you get to enjoy the skyline view of our busy city. Not to mention over looking both KL Tower and Petronas Twin Tower.
Step into their sky lobby and walking thru a small lane that lead to Altitude and to be amaze by the luxury of space. Love the high ceiling that give you an comfort space and each seating area is segmentize with wall to give you some privacy in between other diners or tea lovers.
Pancake-coated foie gras with Banyuls shallot, beetroot macaroon with house-cured Atlantic salmon with dill and sour cream to the sea urchin cream
Granny Smith apples, shaved bottarga to the curry cappuccino with crab meat grissini, ginger and lemongrass.
Then comes the sweet platter as you will be explain through by the staff on each of the dessert place in it.
Impressive dessert as each of this cube balls are carefully crafted with 4-5 elements of flavour in it.
At the price of RM 88+ per pax, I think it is quite reasonable for the kind of item that they are serving, with great ambiance and not to mention the view of KLCC skyline.
Do note that it is facing evening sun and it could get warm in the evening. Do request to turn down the blind to block the sunlight till to remain the last panel of glass for your landscape viewing pleasure.
