day 2 (38)

Next destination we are heading to Xinbeitou where all the hot spring area in Taipei City itself and the rest of the gang keep asking me, are you sure you want to go there as the weather is roasting us up with 38*C on that day. The air is so heat and we were seating just by walking a short distance.

day 2 (39)

To head there, we need to take the Danshui line and stop at Beitou Station and walk over to another platform to get onto Xinbeitou Branch line which is 1.2km just created for this one of the tourist attraction.

day 2 (41)

The place is consider one of the earliest hot spring source found in Taiwan. To head there, we need to take the Danshui line and stop at Beitou Station and walk over to another platform to get onto Xinbeitou Branch line which is 1.2km just created for this one of the tourist attraction, with its water quality from Thermal Valley, the temperature can go as high as 85*C with PH 3-4.

day 2 (42)

The short train is quite impressive that they actually design the whole train with hot spring feel, one of the cabin is with big lcd tv showing us what is there to see in Xinbeitou also their history of it.

day 2 (43)

The place where Nono and Jennifer is sitting, comes with a tv touchscreen.

day 2 (44)

to show us around the whole area and description of each of the area which is very informative.

day 2 (45)

day 2 (46)

Beitou Hot Spring Museum seems to be interesting and its 5 minutes walk away from the station.

day 2 (48)

The whole area is under japanese influence that is why most of their area build up on housing and decoration are very japanese concept.

day 2 (49)

day 2 (50)

These are the sample one of the famous public bath house during the early days.

day 2 (52)

day 2 (53)

One of the main reason to be here is to try out their hot spring. You can either choose public or private to go in. There are 2 types of public hot spring bath, one which is indoor and you go all naked with the rest of the people with same sex and another type is outdoor is to bring your own swim wear, to bath outside in the open space area. That charge inbetween NT 100 – NT 500. Since most of my friends did not bring their swimwear on that day, we decided to go for private bath.

day 2 (54)

Season Hotel Group was one of our choice because it is quite cheap compare to the rest. NT1200 per room for 2 hours usage.

day 2 (55)

The receptionist were very helpfull by providing alot of information to us.

day 2 (56)

We were lucky to meet the owner on that day as they were very friendly and we had a great chat after we take a good rest and bath. The hotel lobby is decorated more on Japanese influence as this place were operate by Japanese previously.

day 2 (57)

day 2 (58)

When me and Pak reach the room, feel so relax while walking around to see the whole room has to offer.

day 2 (59)

After we set up the whole room, it looks more like a Love nest rather than just only offering hotspring. Definately this is a perfect place for couples in such a lovely japanese concept room but definately not for 2 guys in the room. It just feel so weird.

day 2 (60)

A shower head offered at the side of the tub with a mini chair at the bottom like you seen how japanese bath themself by sitting on the small little chair.

day 2 (61)

The freebies given were a mini paper fan and a condom . . .

day 2 (62)

Filled in the bath tub with hot spring water and sulfur smell is quite strong.

day 2 (63)

Filled till its full tank just sit and relax

day 2 (64)

Can just doze off in the hot tub and imagine if you come during winter, it would be even more perfect! What I have learn is dip yourself for 15 minutes then bath with cold water a few minutes then go in again for 15 minutes and wash off with cold water. That is one of the healthy method to wash off our toxic.

For more information on the hotel, please check at their website : taiwanseasonshotel.com

day 2 (65)

This was the public bath that we originally wanted to go with a few big pools and shared by the public. There is where I thought would get to snap alot of pictures.

day 2 (66)

After a short nap, we all head off to lover’s bridge.
