Ah Hee Claypot Chicken Rice is another piece of hidden gem at Jalan Alor. My ex colleague introduce this place to me as this is one of their favourite stall. Was told that ah Hee is an old player in this area as he had been preparing Claypot Chicken rice for over 30 years and there are no successor after him. Currently only he and his wife is operating this little stall and do have patient if on that day is too pack with hungry diners.

Love their salted veggie soup as it gives you a very homecook taste. Sourish enough, yet clear to give you hint of sourish, sweetness of chicken meat that makes it a good pairing with their clay-pot chicken rice.

It is a simple street dish that takes about 15 minutes to cook to perfection where Ah Hee topped it with generous of larp cheong (Chinese Sausage), chicken meat which is tender and juicy, with a little hint of fragrant burn soy smell when it served. Loving it as, this gives you a very simple street dish that is not overpowering. Price range RM 8 – RM 16

If you love something classic, this is one of the place to hunt for.
