This stall runs by both father and son from Penang that operates at very unique hour. This will be the first time in your life that see people operating a business for 60-90 minutes only. Yup, that is correct. Only that window. Worst of all is way early in the morning. from 7am – 8.30am ONLY. They only prepare 1 pot of soup. Finish then finish. Good luck. Previously I try my luck for more than 3 times to get this pippin hot bowl.famous penang curry mee in kl

now one bowl is also cost about RM 9 for small and RM 10 for big. Big actually is quite big but now cause of inflation, food is getting very expensive. most important ingredient for Penang Curry mee is pork blood and taupok.

best penang curry mee in pjthey maintain their quality as the last I had this bowl was like 6 years ago. One of the main reason is I could not wake up. Weekend I would just prefer to sleep. however the soup is still sweet and the most important is the chili paste. Fragrant and punch with mild chili spices. Perfect!

St Ruppert’s fair, one of the biggest traditional festival in Salzburg or other call it Salzberg Beer Festival or also known as Oktoberfest walk with me in this festival taking place from 21st to 25th September. The locals shared with me that this is actually the oldest beer festival in the world or also known as .. I am kinda surprise. Not too sure about this though.

Love the chill vibe in the afternoon and totally different one compare to the Oktoberfest in Munich. Happy Walking. Munich Oktoberfest: Beer Festival night walk : #walkwithme #austria #beerfest #beerfestival #salzburg

Since we are no stranger to Oktoberfest in Malaysia. While visiting my friend in Munich last month, I manage to attend Munich Oktoberfest 2022, Germany which is the origin birth of this festival backed 200 years ago. It is also the world’s largest celebration of Bavarian culture that is attracting Millions of visitors travel thousands of miles to Munich each year to experience this 2-week long festival.

My first curious questions for this Munich beer festival when I was in this festival. It is called Oktoberfest but why starting in September. During October is early winter and its getting cold. That is why they push it 2 weeks early into end September.

I was shared by my friends husband that the Oktoberfest in Munich takes place on the Theresienwiese where it has  large field to host its first-ever Oktoberfest. Partly is also the wedding celebration between Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese took place. Theresienwiese (“Therese’s Meadow”) and was named for the bride herself. The location is just a few stops from city center and  easily accessible via its own dedicated stop Theresienwiese on Munich’s U-Bahn train line.

How it gone so big is very interesting. If you do have free time, my friend introduce this Netflix drama series Oktoberfest – Beer & Blood which is sort of how this whole Oktoberfest comes to this scale.

In Penang there is ineed plenty of street food that you can find. As a Penang Kia, my cousin share with me this place as one of his favourite Classic Nyonya Moh Teng Pheow Nyonya Koay in Penang. He would always buy it whenever he come back to Penang during Chinese New Year. He rated it as one of the best Classic Nyonya Kuih in Penang.

I only discover this 4 years ago and noob die me, but it is actually quite hidden. Also quite well known now to many tourist. This place had been operating since 1933 and I certainly believe this would be the 3rd generation holding the helm for this place.

The kuih are made fresh every day. There are many classic types of nyonya kuih available with the likes like:

    1. Angku kuih
    2. Kaya Kuih
    3. Huat Kuih
    4. Kuih Jaging (corn)
    5. Kuih Kacang Merah (red bean)
    6. Kuih Ketayap
    7. Kuih Kosui
    8. Kuih Lapis

Many others also. easily more than 25 types available daily. Happy hunting.

Price certainly is not cheap as they are higher priced and also smaller portion. For the taste itself I love it. Classic, fragrant and filled with flavoures.

If you are looking for one of the best Nyoya Kuih in Penang, this is one of the place to look for.

KAPE 카페 at Kepong is one of a cafe in KL that has “so called” Korean cafe. I honestly thought it was run by Koreans and got excited to go over to check it out. when reach and the language transpire is in mandarin, so I was like oh, Korean Concept.

to me as for Korean Concept cafe, 2 things must get right. Toast and long black.

Interior is something very simple. Near to full white.

cafe in klby picture itself, since it looks more tempting, decided to go with Korean Street Toast, If i am not mistaken it is RM 18. I must say the smell certainly is inviting and One of a better toast that I have come across. Certainly do carry the Korean vibe as it carry strong flavors. with Spam and kimchi egg is certainly something very appetizing – recommended
coffee in kepongThen for me of course must go with Long Black, as that’s that Korean mostly drink on. It is more on the acidic side and it is decent la.

the Lemon Butter Cake is not too bad. moist enough to go as a while set .

KAPE 카페It is not located at the main road as you need to spot Baskin Robin, then side walk next to it. Not a bad cafe for Kepong people to hunt for or even cafe hop. Price is medium range.
