Erawan Classic Thai & Fusion at Kota Damansara is one of a famous establishment that had been serving authentic Thai Food over the years and still going strong.

Therefore, chef will be servings us the rice to allow us to taste the differences between the Jasmine Sunwhite Fragrance Rice and the Jasmine Super 5 White Rice.

I am not a big fan petai, however I give this a go where their Petai is bigger than what i usually see and only know that it is being imported from Thai. The petai fragrance is different where it is not too bitter and blends very well with their strong sambal base. Spicy Prawns with Petai.
This is out from my expectation where Thai Basil Minced Chicken.is rather spicy that my normal what I order as the little cut of chili padi gives you the kick of spiciness to make you sweat after that.
When in Thai dining, Green Curry Chicken is a must have for me as I love the creaminess and mild spicy of it, and Tropical Fruit Curry, will suits more to those who could not enjoy spicy level where the curry is less spicy, filled with sweetness of pineapple and also freshness of prawns.
Chef have prepared two version of rice for us to try from Jasmine Sunwhite Fragrance Rice and the Jasmine Super 5 White Rice by going classic cooking style. Plain white rice for Jasmine Sunwhite is Chef favorite for its quality and fragrance of it, is also my favorite, where my mom is using that at home too. It is a clear difference that the white rice smells and taste better with its texture is soft on the outside and after you bite it, it had a slight harden base in it that give you a good mouthful bite.
To make it a clear taste and different, the chef cook vegetarian fried rice where it is something simple and clear in taste to allow our palate to taste clearly on the texture of it. For Jasmine Super 5 there is a clear difference where the texture is not as good as per compare with Jasmine Sunwhite where it is slightly harder from inside out. You can also find it that it is less aromatic and the grains have a slight dry end after biting it. Of course the clear difference it comes down to pricing too where Jasmine Super 5 is 30-40% cheaper as to compare to Jasmine Sunwhite.
It was a great lunch where I get to try out the difference type of rice will produce you different type of appetite where to enjoy it with such a great Thai dish to go along, quality do matter in outcome.
