MasterChef Australia 2015 really turn my point and perception towards food and how I ended up here and knowing more is quite out of the questions. Chef Bernard Chu from Lux Bite is one of a must visit patisserie shop where he is being regard one of a upcoming most prominent patisserie chef for this few years after being feature in Master Chef Australia 2015.
With his idea putting it in place by inspiration by luxury patisseries in Europe and Japan, LuxBite which is a brain child of his and his fiance Yen Yen transform this place into another new dessert lover place.
Best of all, after hearing from my friend, Bernard Chu which is from Kelantan, Malaysia is putting us into the patisserie scene with some of the best in Melbourne.
Macaroons is one of their signature range from how they started then move into other classic desserts choices such as crème brûlée and rolled cakes, with a twist on the traditional ingredients.
Love how the cakes are being display as they are nicely presented and too pretty for each of them.
Tried out their macaroons and latte which is a great combination for the afternoon. The gel that being infuse in it is not too sweet yet love its chewy texture and cracking top.
Then my best friend decided to go more adventurous since knowing me I love cakes and she ended up order another 4 more piece of their best seller for me to dig on.
This is one of their signature series – Meringue Monster @ Aud 8.50 – Green tea sponge, pistachio, watermelon yogurt, sour strawberry moose and meringue. Its a perfect combination of flavours where sweetness is not overdoze yet every single later of taste is being tasted. Indeed it is superb!
Among the four, this has a lovely twist of flavour in it where Banoffee, do look like a solid piece yet it is hazelnut sponge, banana ganache, Sichuan pepper chocolate crunch and salted toffee buttercream layer this cake. You will find the taste is weird where it ends with sichuan pepper mild spices end, and with hazelnut and salted toffee balance it out.
Next is their recommendation and I apologize which I have forgotten the name of this 2 items as my friend bought me the whole plate.
It is a pleasure to meet with Bernard himself as he is a great friend of mine.
If you are looking for a twist of flavour in your mouth, then surely this is one of a place to be where you can enjoy your dessert experience at the luxurious cafe or take something home in packaging that generally looks as pretty too. If you are lazy to head to their Toorak Road cafe then there is one right in the city with details as below.
Recommended for a great place for desserts.
